Assorted donuts

Stopped here for the first time today because I drive by it everyday and I finally did it! Wow, not only incredible, fresh, soft, spongy donuts, but some of the most amazing customer service. Just a great experience here. Will definitely be back. Amazing donuts and amazing ambiance and service. Thank you for being so amazing!

Friendly staff greeted us immediately and the donut variety was awesome everything looked really good! It's a nice little place

I had a cherry fritter, along with two old fashioned donuts, chocolate & blueberry. The cherry fritter was flavorless. The fritter was colored red, but had zero cherry taste. The outside wasn't crispy either. The chocolate old fashioned was crisp on the outside, and soft in the middle. The chocolate flavoring was fair. The blueberry old fashioned was incredibly dry. The blueberry flavor was good. I wish I would've purchased a coffee to dunk this donut in. It might have made it taste better.

I love this bakery. It has amazing tasting donuts, cookies, cakes and other pastries. They have the cutest decorated mini two tier cakes decorated for the season. The donuts are made fresh in house. We love the elephant ears. Staff are friendly and helpful. They also make beautiful custom cakes. This is the best option to check out by the mall of America if you are visiting. I'd argue it's one of the best places in the metro for locals. I would highly recommend it. There's something for everyone and the prices are reasonable.

My birthday cake!

This bakery never disappoints! They went the extra mile to make my 60th birthday cake the best ever! Always love their donuts and other goodies. Would recommend to anyone who wants good quality baking.

Denny's 5th Av Bakery is good, it's so nice to find a "small town bakery" now a days. Employees are very nice and everything I have ever had, I've loved. Support our local companies!!

This little gem in industrial Bloomington is hidden on an awkward side street and for the longest time I thought it sold second hand baked goods. Let me assure you: it doesn't. It DOES sell homemade bread and baked goods of all varieties and is a much larger space than most mom and pop bakeries I've seen including a few tables and complimentary (or at least leftover from a past customer) newspapers. I picked up a dozen assorted doughnuts for coworkers last week and they were gone quickly. They were delicious (at least the one I snagged before the entire box was consumed was good!). My only regret is I missed the maple bacon doughnuts by 24 hours - only on Thursdays and Fridays, is the rumor. Next time...

Ordered a custom birthday cake and it turned out absolutely perfect!! More than I expected! And it was so delicious! I asked for a white cake w chocolate buttercream between the layers and white buttercream on the outside, and rainbow rope border. It was amazing! And more layers inside than I expected! Def recommend! So happy

This place is definitely off the beaten path, but it's easy to get to and worth the trip! First, on your way in grab a loaf of the cinnamon swirl bread. I could eat the entre round loaf plain, but toasted or as French toast is glorious! As you pass by the breads, cakes, cupcakes and brownies, you will hit the raised donuts, cake donuts, filled donuts and pastries. Make your choice because they are all good, and at those prices you will probably get more than one. And on Saturdays, you get your coffee free to go with your treat. We used a Metro Dining card for our purchase, but it won't take a deal to get us back there. Next time we're bringing friends!

The doughnuts were pretty good but Soga in St Paul has better. The service was lacking and the place felt cold and dark. Longer version: This is located in a strip mall. Walking in there is very little decoration, a few games and just a dark/cold vibe. There are so many doughnut shops that create fun/colorful/beautiful vibe! This is not that place. The staff here were quiet and barely said a word. Quite frankly, I would have rather order off a screen like other places. The doughnuts were good but not great. While I was there, they were putting out more doughnuts, so may be mine were just older and not as fresh. The Cheetos mozzarella and potato half/half were good! I did enjoy those! Overall, I will not be returning. There are just too many other spots in the TC that are fresh and fun!

I wasn't able to get a pic of the full dozen before my family tucked in, but it was a colorful and wonderful array. For me, the winners were the caramel topped cinnamon roll and the boston creme (they named it bavarian creme filled butI know what I know). The only one that didn't hit with my kids was the strawberry iced with sprinkles, but that was taste preference. I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a local fix!

There isn't much for decor and it seemed a bit dark. There are a couple of tables, but you should plan on taking your food to go! The service was so/so. The person we talked with seemed annoyed we don't know what we wanted right away and just didn't seem like she was in a good mood.... No smiles. Not friendly. However, this place don't get its high ratings by having bad doughnuts and I can confidently say these are some of the best ones around! Apple valley is very lucky to have this place! They were warm, fresh and fluffy! They were sweet but not too crazy sweet! Seriously done VERY well! I would recommend coming in and taking them to go! There are plenty of nice parks in the area to enjoy them!

What a cute spot a super friendly staff…read more I found this place on the Too Good To Go app and was pleasantly surprised with how much donuts I got for half the price. They were delicious and I'll be marking this spot as a top donut contender for 2026.

While this place is relatively small (as one would expect a hole-in-the-wall donut shop to be), they've made impressive use of the space, as there's plenty of tables and chairs to sit at (even a couple on the outside of the establishment, for warmer temperature seasons than presently, aha). It was clean and modern. The employee working behind the counter was friendly and matched my enthusiastic energy, which was appreciated. There didn't seem to be a huge selection of donut varieties available (though I was also there after 11am, which might have something to do with that... this place is open until noon or until they run out of product, whichever comes first), but plenty enough to give me difficulty choosing which to get! All the donuts/baked goods seemed to be priced at $2.50 each. Not an outrageous sum, though more than I'd like... I fear the days of the $1 donut are nothing but a distant memory nowadays. Anyway, I grabbed two donuts and went on my merry way home. The employee put them in a nice wax paper coated baggie. The flavor of the donuts was good. Not addictively incredible, but yummy. There's a decent chance I'll be stopping by in the future simply because this place is along a route I typically take for running errands, and my sweet tooth may compel me to "reward" myself for running said errands, hehe!

I first discovered…read morethis bakery when I moved into the surrounding neighborhood, and have since visited more times than I can count. All of the donuts here are wonderful - there is a large selection of cake and raised donuts, with different flavors rotating throughout the year. I have ordered 2-3 dozen to bring into work multiple times, and each time I get questions and remarks on how fresh and delicious they are. If I am in the mood for savory, a personal favorite of mine is the breakfast croissants: warm and oozing with cheese, ham, or spinach! Although my go-to is the chocolate croissant; I eat it almost weekly! The bakery also makes and decorates special occasion cakes. I recently ordered a Princess Torte for a friend's birthday, and it was a hit! I always feel welcomed at this bakery, no matter how busy or quiet a day it is. You can truly feel the love and warmth (and smell the deliciousness!) of the staff and community that frequently return as regulars. The prices are some of the best around, too!

Great with coffee, great to walk in and get a couple dozen for a work event or gathering! The space is small and gives a very homey vibe but I believe they were bought out by Woullet recently. I popped in this morning to get 2 1/2 dozen cake donuts for a work event and had lovely and quick service. Donuts here are still super cheap which is amazing! There are lots of other baked goods to try here but I am so loyal to the cake donuts that I rarely want to venture out of my comfort zone. Many items in the display case look pretty delicious too though! Maybe one day I will branch out. Also conveniently close to Northern Coffeeworks for a proper latte :)
