I was at Oaks for a couple of weeks for rehab, don't consider having a love one go there. The aids…read moredon't come when you need help, at night I would hear patients crying for help. some were in pain, some needed to use the bathroom. I saw 2+ different aids sleeping in a chair the entire night as patients cried for help. one aid was a female and one was a male. someone stole my ring and other things from my bag while I was in PT, my relatives bought me an edible for Valentine's Day and it cost 100 dollars which I never received. someone stole it and we were never refunded the money. Your suppose to get a shower twice a week but the aids are lazy and don't come, and when you ask they have attitudes. The PT staff were ok but a few come to get you and don't even say hello and are on their cell phones the entire time. The nurses are overwhelmed and some were nice especially Noami was the best one there. The activity program is a joke, you sit in the all purpose room and do nothing. The aides are the worst my bed wasn't changed in 4 days, no one comes when you call them. No one cares there, stay away. It was the worst I've ever been. If I could give this place e a zero I would.

She was unable to care for herself and was discharged against our wishes as it was unsafe since she lives alone. The nursing staff is very rude and uncaring. The aides do a good job, when they show up, which is a long time from when the bell is rung. I often had to help my mother get in and out of bed as well as help her onto the toilet because she couldn't wait that long. The facility is not clean enough. And good luck trying to find anyone when you have a question or concern. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

It is a home atmosphere. When I realized that I could no longer take of husband at home I had to make the difficult decision of finding a place. I visited several facilities and none compare to Arden Courts. My husband is receiving outstanding care. He has many health issues besides dementia and all of his needs are being met. When I take my husband home for a few hours, he tells me he wants to go "home". That says a lot about his care and I know he is happy and healthy. Thank you Arden Courts staff for all that you do for residents.

Our Aunt and Uncle have been at the Gardens of GreenRidge for almost a year now and we are so…read morepleased to have found this caring home staffed with such competent people. Our Uncle is in the memory unit - he needs a higher level of care and the ability to be kept from wandering away. His wife is literally on the other side of a locked door, able to see him and visit with him at any hour of the day or night - but without the constant worry that he will fall or wander away when she is sleeping. It's a good solution that allows them to be together without worry. Our Aunt is quite mobile, active, and socially engaged. And although neither wanted to leave their home of 60 years, she is no longer lonely, and no longer worries constantly about the ability to care for her husband. When our Aunt took a fall, she was placed in the hospital care portion of the Gardens of GreenRidge next door, and received excellent physical therapy. She is now back up walking around and feeling great. She loves the weekly bath in the deep soaking tub (attended by staff member) and the in-home hair stylist appointment each week. She raves about the meals, and loves seeing so many people she knew from years ago with whom she had lost touch. My husband and I are very pleased that the staff welcomes our visits, never asks us to call ahead, and always seems happy to see us. The facility is brightly lit, well taken care of, and smells fresh. Our Aunt and Uncle have good things to say about everyone and about the facility itself. Yes, they miss living at home, but both seem less stressed and are adjusting to a new style of life. We feel so fortunate that my sister-in-law and her husband found this facility, made the arrangements to have our Aunt and Uncle accepted here, and have a peace of mind that our family is well taken care of. We highly recommend a visit. The only reason I did not rate it 5 star for activities is that I am not aware of any "outings" into the community to go shopping, etc. This would add additional costs, I am sure, but would be a nice bonus.

My 90 year old mom was there for four weeks after a long hospital stay. Sometimes she waited over 40 minutes just to go to the bathroom. The aids never ask if there is anything else that she need, they walk right out of the room as soon as she is back in her chair, often forgetting to give her her call button. Instead of helping her get back to independent living they got her dependent on diapers. The physical therapy wasnt all that great either (they did not do too much). The food is horrible and my mom lost 15 pounds after the first 3 weeks without anyone saying anything to me. Oh and the showers, my mom got a foot fungus. and it took two weeks for her just to get her first shower. They sent her home without having a shower in 10 days. Like others said, there are a few nice people who care, but most don't. I saw the aids hanging out in an oversized closet so that they cant be found when paged.

Whispering Knoll doesn't have that "smell" that other assisted livings have, and you don't have residents screaming out for help here. The food is pretty good (I've tried it many times) and there's many options. Hanh, the nursing director, is forward thinking and always puts the residents first.

Most of the residents are a little younger than my parent's so my stay there was a lot like a very long cruise with parents. The residents are really interesting people and have lead quite diverse lives. It's a excellent facility with lots of activities to engage the residents. Some of the residents have cars and there are field trips with the Juniper bus for movies, shopping, church or visits to other local sites of interest. The staff is great and the food is excellent and there is an Ala Carte menu if you want something other than one of the two offerings at each meal. It's served by a wait staff in the dinning room and there are nice touches like cereal in the morning can be topped by bananas or berries depending on what is available. Now a days I'm a volunteer one day a week doing technical support to help residents with iPads, PCs, smart phones etc. Most of the staff I knew from my stay is still there. I am tremendously impressed with Juniper Village and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is considering assisted living or a respite stay.

Recently we had a family member pass. The care and support for not only the elders that are still there, but also for our whole family was amazing. So many of the staff knew what had happened and were always ready with encouragement and a hug. Management went above and beyond to help us during a difficult time.
