Would love to have given Sunrise Remodeling five stars, but can't because they took my deposit and six months later, had not started the job. I did receive a check back, minus $300.00 for design drawings, although I never received them. Owner is a nice guy, too bad I couldn't get the work done. read more

Well I wanted to give sunrise remodeling my business...walked in and the person greeted me and turned around went back into the office. Obviously they're making lots of money and do not need my business.....their customer service sucks. Never leave and turn your back on a customer in your showroom and walk away. read more

Overall the final product was decent when it was all said and done, but here are and were my concerns (in no particular order): 1) Lack of a foreman or supervisor to firsthand oversee any of the work. Pictures, from the contractor onsite that day, to the office or owner just didn't cut it in my book. Their idea of a foreman or supervisor was the electrician or plumber or paint guy that was on the job that given day. 2) Once they locked in the agreement with us, we no longer dealt with the salesman (to no fault of his) that sealed the deal for us. Easy for things to get lost in translation when your point person isn't around to support the items discussed in the presale process. 3) There was not 1 point person to effectively contact if something wasn't done or done right or whatever. We thought we built a relationship with the owner over the first couple of months but we weren't allowed (yes you read that right) to contact him directly nor did we ever see him again or hear from him again when he was supposed to come out and finalize our closet design. 4) Until about 4 weeks into the job and after i complained to the office, never did we know who was coming out the next day nor what time they would arrive. 5) Not 1 person from the office checked back with us as to if they completed the job, completed it well, were satisfied or anything and yeah we have had some issues come up after that fact. ie....shoddy moulding work at the seams and where wall meets ceiling/wall meets floor. Caulk work was seriously rushed and only a couple of months later the caulk is breaking away from the floor and the wall. 6) After having our shelving taken out of the closet to be replaced with a new design and new shelves....it was all done with the same cheap material we had in there prior. Shame on us for not verifying the material but that was a lot of money to spend on particle board crap covered in plastic sheeting. Cheap. 7) Not fully cleaning up after themselves. Leaving garbage in my garage at the end of the job. Leaving nails/screws in my driveway a few times. Leaving moulding pieces, tile pieces and particle board remants in my grass after using their saw. The simple fact is that had they communicated better and more often, followed up after the job to check on satisfaction and picked up after themselves better....I don't think i'd be writing this. But they didn't, and I am. They don't deserve to get away with this and move on and not take a shot to the gut because of it. read more

Others may have better luck, but this is our experience with Sunrise. Start date was to be November 4 but the cabinet doors never were ordered. New date Jan 4., then delayed to Jan. 5, and finally started Jan 11. Sunrise is great on demo and the ladies in the office are helpful. Often when they came to our home, 42 times to date, due to carelessness, they wrecked something that was already done: 1. Cabinet towers - wrong color, repainted, brought back, wrong fit, returned, repainted doors fronts. Then the cabinet towers had to be rebuilt for 8 hours in our bathroom. Wrong again. Brian, the owner, came the next day and agreed that they were not accepted and to redo. Towers were brought back and fit however the drawer fronts on towers are not painted in a manner that is acceptable. Drawer on one does not glide properly. 2. Cabinet base doors and drawers: when installing, adjusting and putting handles on, dinged and scratched and touch up paint sloppy. Sunrise took them back for redo. Came back in totally different shiny finish from the other doors. REDO again. Brian agreed, and reordered all new door and drawer fronts so another month past or so we wait, and shocking when delivered terrible paint job another time. Eventually the lower cabinets were finally done in an acceptable manner. 3. Floor tile looked good, but they didn't protect their work and dinged up the grout while installing base cabinets. Grout was to be completely removed and redone. It was partially removed and regrouted. 4. Shower wall tile, good, shower floor was good and Diego worked hard with me to get it right. One guy Bill came to do something else and then decided to 'straighten out the shower floor corners'. He completely re-grouted it or went over the tile with white grout from the wall tile not the gray grout. Never wanted white on a floor. Sunrise had to come back, pull the entire floor up, pay for new tile and redo it which they did. 5. Were unable to ever bring custom size and cabinet style mirrors with a professional paint job. Note: measurements taken in Feb. We asked over and over for them and continually were told we would get them. (in a truck, at the shop, being repainted -pick a reason) You can't fully use a bathroom without mirrors. On July 5 they came in for a few hours did a few tweaks on items and left. Again, no mirrors, sticking 'soft close' drawers, bad paint remained on tower drawers and no cleanup done. July 6 we received an email that Brian would notify us as soon as mirrors are ready for install. July 7, We received an email that said they would not come back and considered the project done. They would reimburse us to purchase other mirrors. We replied that we did not consider it complete and that we wanted the custom mirrors. Response again that they would not come back. We had an attorney contact him via a demand letter and simply asked for the items left unfinished to be properly completed and the custom mirrors. No response to date. Approximately a month later, we pulled the paper from the floor - which was never cleaned up when the workers left - and the floor tile grout where repaired pulls out with a vacuum cleaner. Same situation with shower floor, the grout is pulling away and up out of the floor. I have all photos and documentation to support this. What we have is an unfinished, incomplete 6 x8 bathroom after 6 months of living without it. Considering the crew came here 42 times overall, there is something very off base. Each of those times, we rescheduled our lives to be here and spend that time in the house while they were here. We simply want what we contracted and paid for and have the items that remain taken care of. read more

Sunrise started out strong first day on the job with demolition. The red flags started when they were demanding money before the process was even finished. Throughout the project money was always demanded due to their progressive payment set up. Problem was things wouldn't be completely done and when you questioned it the office would threaten to not come back. Once majority of the contract was paid they stopped showing up to finish the work. No matter who you call you are always ignored. Some of the workers expressed these issues to us during the project and apologized. You can tell they were sincere and the morale was very low. I would not recommend using sunrise as the management and communication is very poor. Your job will not be completed and you will get every excuse in the book. read more

We did not have a good experience with Sunrise. I agreed to have a Sunrise employee named Dave give me a quote but didn't realize that this would result in our job being treated with such low priority -- like it was Dave's side job, not Sunrise Remodeling's job. (Even though all of the checks were made out to Sunrise). The project was a master shower remodel. Adding body sprays, new tile and a steam shower. So much was done wrong and had to be redone. For example, the shower floor did not drain but pooled water. Sunrise did redo it but more time without use of our shower. Then 2 months after the steam shower install, the steam shower started flooding the closet where it was housed and into our bedroom. I called Sunrise and was told that Dave was out of town for 3 weeks so there was nothing they could do. I was forced to bring in a cleaning crew, water mitigation and another plumber to remove the unit. I called Sunrise when Dave finally returned and Dave assured me he would fix everything and to call him. Brian, the owner of Sunrise kept him from our job both during the initial installation and afterwards when I was trying to get him to return. I was told this was because Dave was needed at other jobs. After months and months of trying to get ahold of Dave (he changed his cell number at one point), he made some minor repairs. We had no use of our shower for over a month. The steam shower still leaked. By this time, I realized that Dave had no idea what he was doing. I called two different plumbers to assess the problem and they both told me that the steam shower had an auto drain that was never installed and that is why it kept flooding. They both told me to go back to the original installer which I did but Sunrise is refusing to do anything because we called another plumber. It has now been more than 1 1/2 years and we paid over $5,000 just for the steam shower and installation and have used it only about 3 times. I am having a problem getting the unit repaired because Sunrise refuses and other plumbers don't want to touch someone else's shoddy work. read more

We signed a contract with Sunrise remodeling on May 24, 2022 for a condo renovation that was originally scheduled to begin on September 12, the October 4, then October 12 ,2022 but never really started until December 10, 2022. It is now January 19, 2023 with NO end date in sight. To say that Brian Dunn, owner is a liar and abysmal project manager is an understatement. Our project was promised to be completed around Halloween, then before thanksgiving, then by early December then by December 15 when we returned to Florida. We have been living in a construction site for 5+ weeks since December 15, 2022 AND THERE IS NO END DATE FOR COMPLETION. Our master bathroom and kitchen were completely demo-ed on October 18, 2022, NOT because the project was scheduled to start but because it triggered a progress payment which we paid in full. We were foolish and niave enough to trust that the project was actually starting. The demo rendered our condo unlivable. After much threatening, pleading, and cajoling Brian Dunn promised to start the project with a "full team and hit the ground running" on November 20. That did not happen. Nor did it happen any day thereafter before work began in mid December. Numerous "promised" completion dates have come and gone AND THE PROJECT IS STILL NOT COMPLETED. It is unfortunate because the staff, who actually do the work, are skilled professionals who really care about their work and do a good job at what they do. However, they can't perform when jerked from one site to the next (whoever is yelling the loudest seems to get work performed on that day) and who have to take 10 phone calls a day from Brian Dunn to review work schedules and completion dates ON WHAT WHAT ALREADY CONFIRMED BEFORE THEY SHOWED UP AT THE JOB SITE. Brian Dunn is a nightmare to deal with and it is a full time job to try to get contracted work completed at all let alone on time. His motto is to " overpromise and not only under deliver but NOT TO PERFORM AT ALL. NO WORK PERFORMED NO NOTIFICATION. CONTINUING TO TRY TO MANAGE Brian Dunn, eight months following our contract date, for an estimated 6 week project, is just exhausting. We consider Brian Dunn and Sunrise remodeling in breach of contract and unfortunately have started seeking another contractor to finish our project. If you are looking for a remodeling contractor, I strongly suggest you continue looking. read more

I don't know where all these good reviews are coming from...maybe bots or paid reviews. Horrible company to say the least. He offered me 15% off if I wrote a good review. Hence all the good reviews maybe? Anyways his guys messed me bathroom up while I was out of town. I caught a plane back early thinking I'm coming home to my new bathroom and I find my house flooded out. His guys broke my shower valve and I had to pay a plumber to fix it. Anyways cheap as they come...I was always told you get what you pay for. Finally after the owner gets aggressive with me over the phone I told him I'll contact my homeowners insurance and they can hash it out. Long story short we are going to court now. My damages are in the six figures and yet Brian is trying to weasel his way out of liability but that's ok. I'll let the documentation and the jury be the judge of that. After my attorney issued Brian the Subpoena, he gave me the most sorry excuse of an apology ever. Trying settle out of court now that we finally will be face to face in the court of law. Fire him unmediated. He might be going under after me and my Attorney done with him. read more

The fifth time that I have used Sunrise because the dependability and quality of work has always surpassed my expectation. There are stories of contractors not showing up and doing sub par work, but not these guys. Have gutted bathrooms, kitchens, reconfigured rooms all perfect. Even better, they keep the wife happy by cleaning up their toys. All tools and equipment are packed up and put away until the next day. Describe what you want and they will provide, often with a suggestion that will improve your vision. Sunrise is a real company, not a scammer handyman with a lowball price. read more

High-Quality Work from Sunrise Remodeling Sunrise Remodeling did a top-quality job in remodeling my bathroom. This was actually a follow-up job as their initial tile work did not meet the standard that Brian from Sunrise wanted due to faulty grout. Instead of simply replacing the tile, Brian's work ethic led to a more comprehensive remodeling process. He wanted me, the customer, to be completely satisfied with the final product. To my surprise Sunrise took care of everything, from materials, equipment and labor with no charge to me. His approach was so far superior to any other contractor in my home that I want others to know that there are people, maybe only a few, that live up to their promise of making sure that the final result meets standards that everyone can be proud of. All through the process, Brian and his crew focused on the details that make an end product beautiful. His workers showed up on time, cleaned up every day. Because my house is basically a one-shower house, Brian sent extra crew members so that I had as little down time without a shower as possible. Amazing! I have never experienced anything like this with a combination of polite employees, Brian's imagination and ability to put ideas together, and speed that I can truly say-- this is work of art. After dealing with Brian and his exceptional Sunrise employees, I won't let anyone else touch my house. As you might imagine, I've had the opposite experience with sub-standard work that was not honored, so this new, creative process was actually fun! A leaking shower pan in my new condo's master bathroom caused me some sleepless nights. Obtained quotes from several contractors mainly recommending totally remodeling the entire bathroom with price tags in the $25-35,000 range. Then I called Sunrise Remodeling and met with Chad. He had excellent ideas about dealing with the main problem and updating the look of the master. The cost was extremely reasonable, but the reason for this review is the exceptional job they did remodeling my bathroom! From start (picking out the tile, vanity and fixtures) to the conclusion, they were AMAZING! Treated my home with the utmost respect, were on time, courteous and the workmanship was outstanding. Several of my neighbors have inspected the finished bathroom and asked for info on the company. As a widow undertaking my first remodel alone, the Sunrise team felt like family when it was done.
