A Comedy of Errors, but We Weren't Laughing If you're looking for an adrenaline rush or would like to simulate a heart attack before your flight, forget skydiving or base jumping--just book a ride with Sunrise Shuttle. That'll get your heart racing. We planned a trip to Hawaii 9 months ago and booked Sunrise Shuttle four months out. A shuttle is expensive but we wanted vacation to start right when we left the house. Two families and three car seats. Car seats, you know, those crucial safety devices required by law? We were glad to pay for someone to take away the stress of getting to the airport. To summarize so far: we booked and paid for three cars seats. We called four days ahead specifically to confirm that we needed three car seats. Apparently, Sunrise Shuttle operates under a different legal system, where car seats are optional and customers are expected to improvise. When the driver showed up I asked to check that the car seats were installed correctly. He looked perplexed. I saw an empty van (no carseats) and asked where they were. He first insisted we never ordered them. Then he checked his phone and I saw his shoulders slump. He admitted he forgot. His brilliant solution? He could go get them and be back in an hour? No, that won't work because we would miss our flight. So then he suggests we should just use our own car seats. Sure, buddy, great idea. And how would we get them back? He promised Sunrise Shuttle would hand-deliver our car seats a week later when we get home. Hard pass. Faced with either missing our flight or trusting this operation with our children's safety, we had to scramble. We loaded up and drove ourselves. So instead of a smooth and relaxing trip to the airport, we started our vacation with a stress test. Oh, and this wasn't our first run-in with Sunrise Shuttle's commitment to chaos. A year and a half ago, they actually did bring car seats--but the driver didn't know how to install them. Oh, they need to be attached to the vehicle? Who knew? That should have been our warning sign, but we foolishly gave them another chance. Never again. Save yourself the hassle and go with literally any other company. Brendan drove our family and my sister-in-law's family - a group of 8 - to SFO from Fair Oaks & Carmichael...and back 11 days later! Both drives included two pickups/drop offs. Sunrise Shuttle was early for pickup on both occasions. On the way to the airport, Brendan was 10 minutes early to pick up my sister-in-law, which provided wonderful peace of mind. On the way back from Munich, Germany, our flight landed a full HOUR early. With a large group that included 3 adults and 5 kids, we worried that after a long 11+ hour flight, we'd have to wait at SFO for the shuttle to come at the time we had requested. We shouldn't have worried! The Sunrise Shuttle team/Brendan had tracked our flight and realized we would be early - they were there waiting for us when we arrived. On the 1-1/2 hour drive back, my son felt nauseous due to being overtired and Brendan offered him a bag in case he did get sick, cracked the window for him, and allowed him to sit in the front seat next to him so he could see the road ahead more easily. We had such a wonderful, professional experience using Sunrise Shuttle and having Brendan as our driver and it really took stress off of us in having to drive, park for 11 days, and take two cars instead of one. I have used Davis Airporter for years getting to and from Sacramento to SFO but after they closed out , my search led to sunrise shuttle. The reservation and any inquiries were replied promptly. Due to flight delays and rescheduling, there was change in original plan and Sunrise Shuttle arranged accordingly with ease. Michelle, our driver was waiting for us patiently at SFO parking lot, sent out the instruction on how to reach there and helped with our luggages too. We fly out of SMF often and in past years just drove to the SMF garage because we could not find a safe and reliable car service. Fast forward to a friend recommending Sunrise shuttle a few months ago. We booked them for our April trip, and frankly, crossed our fingers. We had the most wonderful experience..they picked up our daughter's family, helped load the group with car seats and made it to our home for a quick, on time and easy pick up. The van was clean, the driver was punctual, and the ride down the freeway was safe. Our return trip was also quite easy. SMF was experiencing a huge baggage handling issue causing a much delayed exit and the driver waited patiently ...way past the normal airport wait. As far as service is concern, my family & I have no problem with them. It's our first time using the shuttle service to & from the airport and all I can say is that I made the right choice of using them. A seasoned traveler like my family, I may say, we are beyond punctual. An hour or two early to be precise that's why when our pick up came right on time for the pick up to and from the airport, we are just relieved. As for the drivers, a great shoutout to Peter & Tommy, very professional & friendly. The driving was just smooth & very relaxing. As far as the rate is concern, I just find it not that expensive compared to what I always did before, renting a car picking up from the airport then dropping them before our flight and doing it again when we get back, It's just no hassle right at all right now. Customer service is beyond GREAT! My wife and I recently reserved a shuttle for a conference to Napa. We decided not to attend the conference secondary to concerns about the surge in Covid-19 cases. Zane explained to me that there "typically" is a $20 cancellation fee (which I understand). He said however, that based on our circumstances he did not want to charge us the $20. He ASKED "IF IT WOULD BE OK" if he charged us 5% to cover his credit card fee. We paid $7 instead of $20. Thank you Zane! We don't get to the Sacramento area often, but if we need a shuttle I will call Sunrise Shuttle! You should too! read more

I was in a pinch to find round-trip transportation to the Airport a few days before the trip. (I didn't know 'Ride Share' only allows 3 passengers, we had 4) Sunrise Shuttle was not only available but also provided excellent and professional service. They dropped us off in a very clean, very attractive bus, and picked us up in an equally fancy passenger van. Communication was excellent, I got a text the day before confirming pick up/drop off. When being picked up at the airport I arrived with a text from the driver that provided detailed information on where to find the van, including pictures. I can't express enough how much I appreciated having that seemingly small detail covered by them. (I was so tired from traveling, literally zombified, being able to look at my phone and see a picture of the van, and knowing to leave at the second door in 'Terminal C' was simple but profoundly helpful.) For transparency, I spent just under 300$ for a round-trip shuttle with 4 passengers. I was quoted 90$ ONE way for Lyft XL, and they don't offer the service and prestige Sunrise Shuttle did. So we had planned on taking a LYFT EL or 6 seater Uber from Sacramento to SFO and were trying to take advantage of the book 24 hours in advance feature, but there were none available at either company. Started scrambling and really hit the jackpot when I found Sunrise Shuttle! I was instantly put at ease when they called me right away alter I requested a quote on line. They had the fight information at their fingertips when I told them the flight number. They also had times to suggest to make it through traffic snd there in time for iInternational flights. The service is about a million times better than an uber and the giant shiny luxurious Black Navigator is like a celebrity vehicle! I cannot believe the cost is on par with LYFT ExL, although when I booked I did get the idea that they want to make sure you driver sufficiently and that is how they keep price down. My ride was $190 and I think a $25 is an appropriate tip. I highly recommended and will always use Sunrise Shuttle for Sacto to SFO airport shuttle!!! read more

We recently used Sunrise Shuttle for a trip from Woodland to the SF Cruise Port and back. Our trip there was okay(although the driver went a little too fast for our taste), but our return driver, Tommy, was great! He was on time, he communicated with us, told us how to direct him, and drove us very safely back to Woodland. He also gave us 'old folks' lots of help with our luggage. We had a great experience with Sunrise Shuttle--so good that we booked it for our return trip! It's a short drive from Woodland to the Sacramento Airport, but we were traveling on the busiest airport day of the year (the day before Thanksgiving) at a really early hour and returning really late on a Saturday night. I was so impressed by the service provided by Sunrise Shuttle. We communicated by text and they were prompt and helpful in every interaction. I asked for a more secure way to give them my credit card information and they were happy to have me use PayPal. I forgot to book our return trip until the day of travel, and within minutes they found us a great driver with a big enough car for my whole family plus luggage. There was a small surcharge because we were returning after business hours (almost midnight), but it was well worth the peace of mind of knowing that a courteous, professional driver would be waiting for us. read more

Best shuttle service ever! Zane (the owner and manager) arranged for the pick-up and drop-off of my large family party of 9 to and from the Sacramento Metro airport. I made an early reservation and was notified the day before to confirm. I did not have to contact them---and that's a big deal for me. We had two babies in our party and he offered car seats for our convenience, again without my asking. Sunrise Shuttle moved my entire party, baggage, strollers, two car seats and all, in one swift and comfortable ride to the airport via a Mercedes Sprinter. Tommy was our driver to the airport and he was even 15 minutes early for our pick-up! His pleasant and happy demeanor was well received. Coming back home, our flight was severely delayed so we took a separate airline, which didn't arrive back in Sacramento until nearly 4 hours later. (BTW, Zane messaged me the day before to confirm pick-up---again without me calling first). Zane was very understanding and told me "no problem," he would personally pick us up and get us home. Although our party got off the plane in Terminal B, our luggage was delivered to Terminal A, (long story). But Zane was very patient with the hectic pick-up and drove us safely home. My party was tired and rattled by the mess at the airport and Zane made us feel relaxed and calm. When I went to tip him he told me it was too much, but I insisted. (It really wasn't that much considering all he did for us). To top it off, Sunrise Shuttle also has the best prices on the internet. I will only use their services in the future. Needed a shuttle for our wedding at our house, and the hotel was only a half mile away. Other shuttle companies quoted me over double Sunrise and I had to pay in advance so I was a bit nervous, but so happy I went with them! They were super communicative, answered every phone call and emailed back very quickly. Even added a sign per my request to the shuttle at the last minuted.
