Great Products! Their whipped lotion is the best lotion I've ever tried! Great for dry hands prone to cracking and bleeding. Super hydrating and absorbs fast. Their chapstick is my favorite I've tried as well. I have super chapped lips that crack often and this is a sanity saver. It works great, lasts long and doesn't taste like chemicals like blistex or vasaline does. Definitely worth the price. These are my favorite products but their other products are great too. They carry almost anything you can think of that's personal care and relaxation related; from soap bombs and lotions, to beard oil and incense. My friend purchased a body butter bar for the shower and she promises to let me know how she likes it so I can purchase one too. The store associate was very friendly and helpful in explaining how to use the bath bar for the best results. She also provided us with a soap sample and a card with the store's information. The items sold in store are also available for purchase online. The store also has a shop next door where you can make soaps and other bath products from scratch. My husband and I shop here for creams and soaps, organic cleaning items, and bio-degradable/recycled paper supplies. They do offer a few other items by local artists, candles, etc, but their core focus is soaps. My husband gets very dry skin and is severely allergic to poison ivy, and their soap/lotions have been a heaven-sent. We always stop here when we're in the area. We started coming to the area for snow tubing a few years ago, and when that first trip was waylaid by warm temps, we went downtown to check out this store and the video arcade. My kids and I joined the class to make glycerin soaps and that was so fun, we return every year to do it again. Each year we buy enough toiletries to last until next year's trip. read more

Such a great little shop!! The staff we met were all very high-energy & welcoming. Lots of test products throughout the store so you know what you're buying. They're constantly making soap, and their kitchen is right in the back of the store. They welcome you to watch them throughout the soap-making process & even encourage you to call to see when they'll be making what. While we were there we got to see a just-poured batch of soap and watch someone "swirl" it. She explained a bit about the soap-making process, I learned a lot! The store itself is mostly soaps, lotions & scrubs, but there are some other odds & ends as well. Also, they have such cool decor! I found myself wanting to buy items that weren't for sale! When we couldn't find the "flavor" of spray lotion we wanted, the staff member (owner??) was happy to mix it for us on the spot! She even offered to let us do it ourselves! She said that we could also make any "flavor" we wanted, which is really cool. She also wound up giving us some soap samples to take home. I highly recommend Sunrise Soap Company's all-natural bug repellant spray. For years, I've been a mosquito magnet and suffered with bites whenever outdoors. This summer, I got myself in the habit of always spraying myself before going outdoors, and the bug bites have stopped. I now keep a spray bottle in my car, home, garage and picnic basket, so the product is always handy. Each time you take back an empty container for refilling, you'll save fifty cents on the product. They have a variety of products, soaps, lotions, lip balm, foot scrubs and bath balls -- all made with natural ingredients (so no crazy chemicals) and all the products come in tons of different smells so theres sure to be something for everyone. There are plenty of "tester" products so you can sample before you buy. The ladies working in the store were super helpful and asked us several times if we had any questions about the products. Stopped by with another family to do soap making with the kids. The woman working there had zero patience with the children, even while parents were there assisting. She was absolutely miserable. She rushed them while picking scents, colors, glitter and it was if we were an inconvenience all while the store was empty. One of the children even needed to use their bathroom which was made into a big deal, apparently they don't have one for paying customers. It's a shame this was our experience as this store could offer a really fun activity for kids. read more

My family stopped into the Sunrise Soap Company's new location at the Park City Mall and it was awesome! The bubbles outside and a storefront that smells like you're stepping into a field of wildflowers. This was a pleasant subtle smell - no headache- unlike the chemical smell you get walking past some other soap stores. The decor is awesome- from the bath fizzies in antique claw footed tubs- to the gentle lighting- to the antique rocking chair that put my son to sleep in less than 5 minutes- the owner/manager clearly wants you to enjoy your shopping experience- paying close attention to all the details. On top of it being an awesome store to see and smell... the prices were competitive to those of your chain bath and body stores- probably because they make almost everything on-site. Stumbled upon the shop on a visit to Gettysburg. They better exist forever. There is absolutely no other soap I will use. I have searched high and low to find a sandalwood bar of soap that smells like I want it to. Their sent is absolutely 100% perfect. It lasts but is not overpowering. One of downtown York's coolest shops! This is one of my go-to places for gifts, you can find all sorts of goodies here...not just soap. Speaking of their soap, it is wonderful and comes in a slew of different scents. I haven't tried many of their other products aside from the soap and lip balm but I've heard great things from others and plan to try something new the next time I go. They feature several different jewelry designers (some local) and also carry an impressive case of vintage pieces. We go in and are looking around for a little bit and are just chatting looking at soap etc. when an sales associate stormed over to rudely yell at us and say "what's with this huddle?? Saw how the soaps were made on PCN Tours and decided to buy a few soaps because they are home made and didn't have all those chemicals in them. I am a satisfied customer and recommend their products to anyone. Our group was larger (9 girls) and ranged from ages 7-9 so we did make a reservation. Upon arrival our girls were so excited to see and smell everything and were immediately repremanded for being kids. The first thing the lady said to them was to settle down. Settle down? The girls were walking around smelling, touching and trying the samples to get an idea of what we would be making that day. To advertise kids birthday parties, we moms felt that this establishment was unfriendly, unorganized and ill prepared for our reservation. At one point, the girls were having an experiment shown to them and 1 girl was chosen to be a helper. Our guide put the girl on a chair to stand so she could help when another guide scolded the child for being up there. In another instance, a mom went to wash her hands and reached for the last paper towel and was told they had no more with the one she had in her hand being removed by a guide. For the money we spent, almost $200, it wasn't worth it. The soaps are nice, the bath bombs are very good, but this experience has left a bad taste in our mouths. read more

Was visiting from out of town today and decided to check this place out because I'm a sucker for homemade soaps and lotions. Upon walking in, I saw tons of unique items like tie-dyed underwear, earrings made from various stones, and just a bunch of cute little gifts besides soap. Everything was nearly organizes and relatively inexpensive. They had a table set up of bath fizzies for just $1.50 each!! And they had at least 15 different scents. There was so much stuff to look at. The lady who works there was super friendly and gave me a free sample of soap because it was my first time visiting there. She also asked if I wanted one of the soaps gift wrapped because I mentioned that I was buying it for my boyfriend! Just incredibly generous and thoughtful.
