Great addition to the neighborhood. Sunrise/Sunset is super cute, the interior is minimal but lovely and the front windows look out on a really gorgeous block. We went for brunch, and the iced coffee and food were incredible, I just wish there was more! I wanted a big piece of bread to soak up the dregs of my chorizo/sweet potato/egg dish. The service was great, really laid back and friendly. The Sorel Royale cocktails were delicious. For my taste the Bloody Mary was a little too sweet, basic, V8-y even, but fine. And the prices are astounding, I've never had a brunch like that for only $10 a dish. Really hope the restaurant is doing well in an up-and-coming neighborhood, I'll definitely be coming around regularly! read more

Came here when it first opened then again a few days ago for coffee. It had a decent afternoon coffee shop crowd. Seems to be doing well. Was sad to see that the wines sort of took a backseat to cocktails since the owners taste is eclectic and excellent, but if the neighbour hood demands it.... The selection of wine and liquor is still great. Don't live in area but hopefully I'll come back soon and see what it's like at night. read more

Gorgeous, cozy, roomy bar! I held a meetup here for 20+ people, and we all fit comfortably. The layout is nice: a big table in the back, smaller tables in the front, and an angled bar. The beer & wine selection is excellent. The staff & owner are friendly, flexible, and responsive. Definitely worth stepping out of your way to visit. read more

went here for brunch and the food was awesome. I really enjoyed the cocktails as well. But most of all, the waitress/bartender was awesome. Like me, she's from Texas (which was apparent considering her Texas tattoo). Although the food selection is minimal, she helped us order some pretty awesome food that came out in a timely manner. In her greatest attempt to embarrass me, my out-of-towner mother asked the waitress to tell us, "y'all come back now." And oddly enough, she complied. I was excited to try this spot because of what they're doing with their wine program. 2 weeks ago my wife and I decided to drop by for brunch and a glass of wine to check it out for the first time. An employee greeted us and told us to find a seat, we sat down and both looked at each other...what is that awful smell? Was it dirty mop water? Dirty sponges that wiped tables? I can't imagine having an appetite for anything (food, wine, coffee...) with that smell. We were there less than a minute and a half then agreed we needed to leave. read more

This place is overhyped af. It took them about 20 mins to get 2 iced coffees ready that tasted like basura. There is no one there to help or greet you when you walk in so you don't really know where to order. Really rude service for brunch too. I live 2 minutes away and wish it was better. The food was good and the barista was awesome. However it was really frustrating that they offer a cocktail menu but the barista was not allowed to make any of the cocktails even though he could make simple normal cocktails. It makes no sense for your featured cocktail to not be available all day when you have a capable employee available to make them. read more

Decent coffee and decent bar atmosphere with a selection of liquors. It has a very hipster vibe, many people working on their laptops during the daytime and at night a nice retreat for them in the evening. I enjoy walking by it almost every day just for te artwork. read more

I went to this restaurant about 2-3x and love the food. I was served by Cat, best cook in town. She was awesome. I would go there again just because of her. Awesome Brunch / Drinks spot in Bushwick. The new Bushwick is getting newer and better everyday, Sunrise/Sunset is part of this process. Great corner with lots of natural light. Minimal interior is charming a comfortable. Perfect diner style bar & nice wooden tables. Food - Sweet potato & Chorizo - Topped with two fired eggs. Gotta say this was just a perfect brunch. Plated well, looked and tasted great. A pretty hefty portion as well, but not too much. Veggie Bowl - again, phenomenal veggy & eggy friendly with poached agains resting on top of an assortment of rice, veggies & sauces. Almost reminded me of SQRL type bowls that were poplular in the 200 sq ft space in LA. (I talked to the owner and they are also getting ready to do dinner, but one step at a time) Drinks - Two beers on tap, not as many as some competition but enough for a brunch or a cool day drink affair. Good cocktails. Bloody Mary ($6) is on point, as well as the Morning Dude ($8 &a bit bigger than the Bloody) - white russian in a mason jar. Affordable. This place rules and I'm sure will have a long line pretty soon as soon as word breaks. ALSO - big plus - they play really good music here everytime. Today was a soft brazilian mix. Good Jazz selections. Also two turntables sit atop the bar. Once this place takes off those turntables will probably get some usage. I for one can't wait. read more

There are a few times in life when i am driven to write a bad review and if you have the time to look at my 'profile' I don't think I have ever. However, in all seriousness, fuck this place. They have the absolute worst customer service and refuse to see people as human beings but rather as consumer pigs and sheep. They disgust me. The first time I went in there I ordered their chorizo and eggs although i am vegetarian and I asked if it would be a problem to remove the meat. They begrudgingly obliged but with heavy sighs and after I had to convince them they didn't need to use different silverware or clean everything first, I just didn't want chunks of meat, I wanted eggs. (As a side note, I understand it is a restaurants prerogative to not want to change their menu, but then they should've said no and not thrown a temper tantrum). And that is exactly what they did, throw a temper tantrum. My two scrambled eggs with no meat took over an hour when another customer ordered the same thing after me with the meat it took 10 minutes. That is absolutely no exaggeration. I timed that shit. And now I just walked to see if I could give them a second chance because I am a man of second chances and will try most places twice, but fool me once shame on me, fool me twice, you get it. I go in to do some work related things (I work on a TV show so I have to type up directions for our commercial vehicles) and I said 'I'm ok for now' because I wasn't hungry and I didn't want an alcoholic beverage. I understand it is customary to buy something at a 'cafe/bar' however at that particular moment, I was ok... And in my opinion that should be totally cool. And of course, they can decide whatever they want and choose to be nice to whomever they want, however, this restaurant comes across as a group of people who do not view other people as people but more like dollar signs. These types of businesses will not survive and these types of businesses will die like the soon to be extinct archaic method of treating people and believing how one is better than another. I'm still flustered thinking about it because I wasn't trying to be a dick, I had work work to do and this place is literally a block from me and now I will absolutely never go back. And everyone who asks me a place to check out near me will never hear the name of this disgusting establishment. read more

I always walk past here and was always interested in trying what they sell, I went in for an iced coffee and my experience was horrible. First There was a debit card minimum that was 7 dollars, I had to buy "large" iced coffee which was considered a small every other cafe that I've been to, not only that. When I asked for a large lid, (since they didn't even have that stocked up) the lady behind the counter gave me the most rudest attitude just because I asked for lids.. Now was that appropriate? Also the coffee didn't even taste that good. Coffee tasted like regular homemade cheap coffee and for the price? Wow.. I'm never coming back. Especially after that employee whom gave me the attitude for asking for a lid. read more
