Dr. Khursand is fantastic. I had an old crown replaced and she explained every step of the process before and during the procedure, checking to make sure I didn't have any questions along the way. She made sure the area was properly numbed prior to starting and frequently asked how I was doing and if I needed anything, throughout the process. If I could give a less than one star I would. I go to places based off of looking at reviews and this place had really great reviews. I transfer all of mine and my husbands records over to this facility and I go in for the first time the dentist and staff were sooooo amazing and funny. Most of all extremely supportive and helpful. Then my husband goes into his appointment separately for a cleaning and care plan for next steps moving forward. Nothing was done we are getting married in a few months so he smoked for awhile and stopped. He needed cosmetic work done on his front caps to make the look a bit better and no need to explain that western dental did them when he was a kid so extremely poor quality. Which is why we choose to put new crowns on. This is the background a bit on our expectations, not perfect but a little better. So instead of doing anything about the cosmetic work all they do is schedule another cleaning........ Okay maybe something wasn't communicated properly. Long story short I canceled the cleaning to schedule a consultation so we were all on the same page. The first thing the dentist came in non stop interrupting so much not allowing us to even get out why or what expectations were wanting and trying to sell us on the final smile. She was yelling so loud telling us he had cavities that no one even told us about the prior appointment then when I tried to say something about money and insurance maxing out for the year to make a plan that's necessary but taking into consideration money. If I had lots of money implants and veneers would be what we would do on all the teeth but like most people that's not going to be possible in one setting. Then she continued with this exposing the entire office to her poor behavior then puts her hand in my faces and says no I'm talking. At that point I grab my things look at my husband and said we are done here. I do not trust someone like this. Then we went to the front we are getting all of our records and the tech comes to the front lady and says dr wants to see you and she responds that she is just getting our records and she raises her voice at her and says "NOW". Like I'm flabbergasted at this point and said please email us the form. I will be turning her into the dental board and into delta. The unprofessionalism and the lack of care all within the first 2 appointments I'd never trust since everything was ignored to begin with and it was just about money to the dr. I never write reviews but I have never been talked to and treated so poor in public in my entire life. No apologies or even regret was from this office except for poor Wendy in the front. This place is awful and if you have an opportunity to try a different practice then I would recommend doing that. If things would have been different and at least the dr being remorseful I would have just went my separate ways and moved on. The only reason why I moved from my original dentist to begin with is because I aged out of my parents policy and they didn't take my delta dental plan. After the office emailed me I responded and the dr responded to me and took no responsibly and just made excuses. You could tell the only reason she responded was because I told her I was turning her into. Hopefully the dr learns from this and doesn't treat anyone else like this. read more

I was a happy patient with Midtown Dental but recently moved to Gold River and wanted a practice that was closer to my home. I found Sunriver via Yelp. Location: Sunrise Blvd at Trinity River Drive, in a two story professional building. Public bus stop directly outside on Sunrise Blvd, and ample parking. Ease of access: I parked in the lower accessible parking area. There is a full flight of stairs to the ground level. I wasn't aware that there is an elevator, as it is behind a locked gate, but I later learned that I just needed to call the practice and they will buzz me through. After getting to the ground floor, everything is level and easy to access. Due to Covid protocols, the practice's lobby is locked but they have instructions to do a virtual online check-in. There is some limited seating in the building's lobby outside the practice. The office staff came out to escort me in when they were ready to see me. Ambience: The practice appears freshly updated, with ample seating and a pleasant modern industrial esthetic. Treatment rooms are nice. Technology: This practice appears to use all of the current dental technology that one would expect from a first-rate practice. Permanent crowns are made in-house and set in a single visit - no more temporary crowns and a follow up appointment! Communication: I reached out to Sunriver via email as I have some mobility deficits and needed to know that they could accommodate my needs. Trisha the office manager immediately responded and was able to get me an appointment within two days. Both Caroline the hygienist and Dr. Khursand were awesome! They were professional and very pleasant, and took care to make me feel comfortable and at ease. They also were very communicative about the condition of my teeth. Service: The staff took care to accommodate my mobility deficits and make sure that I was comfortable and at ease. I never felt rushed - they took the time to do a thorough and careful exam, x-rays and cleaning. They were very diligent about following current Covid safety protocols. Insurance/scheduling: Trisha the awesome office manager verified my dental insurance coverage before my appointment so there was no concern about my coverage or copay. After my exam, I got my next appointment scheduled, settled my copay and was on my way in under five minutes. Overall: It's been only one visit, but I am highly satisfied with Sunriver and I think that I have found my new dentist! read more

I was referred to Sunriver Dental Care by a co-worker who has been coming to this dentist for 20 years now and I have been coming here for 10 years. I have had bad experiences in the past with several dentists. Dr. Khursand is an amazing dentist and a great human being. She is very kind, gentle, caring, a good listener and has a passion for excellence. I had to have 2 newer crowns replaced, a very old bridge replaced, a new bridge and a lot of maintenance to restore my damaged teeth. I used to have so much anxiety while in the chair (back arching and a death grip on the arm rests). Dr. Khursand has restored my faith in dentists and I am no longer anxiety ridden in the chair. My smile is beautiful because of her! Let's also mention her assistant, Margaret who is so kind and is literally Dr. Khursand's 3rd and 4th hands. I had bad experiences in the past with this practice and after being asked by the receptionist multiple times to change my review, here is my update. I had a crown done and I've told them multiple times I still have sensitivity. Nothing was done. I called the emergency number because my filling fell out and was under alot of pain. I had to wait 1 week for an appointment. I went in to get it fixed and the crown they put in broke and I was left with alot of pain. I tried calling several times during business hours to make an appointment but nobody ever answers. I've since moved to a different practice and I am much happier now. read more

The only reason I'm giving one star is because the receptionist was friendly. The dentist Uzra was rude and tried to argue with me about their lack of communication. You don't wait till the day of an appointment to tell me that my insurance is running low. You should have told me the details ahead of time, not the day of. You wasted my time. Then you get on the phone and try to come up with some stupid excuse, and proceed to tell me that when I left you had to sit for a hour and a half. Bottom line you're RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! You should have been understand of MY TIME and your office's lack of communication. A simple apology would have gone a long way. The is the #1 best dental office I've ever been too. The front office staff, the hygienists and Dr. Khursand are all amazing. I have extreme dental fear due to some past bad dental experiences and Dr. Khursand offers great sedation dentistry for some of the longer procedures which really got me through the work I needed to get done. However, after going there the last 2 years my fears have begun to subside some and I don't have that horrible anxiety right before going in any more. They are also great at being flexible with appointment times offering early mornings and being able to accommodate last minute changes. The hygienists even play your favorite pandora station during your cleaning! I drive a long way to continue to come here because they are all truly a fun, friendly and caring group. Dr. Khursand and her staff are fabulous. I went in as a new patient solely for teeth whitening and they all were informative, accommodating, and knew what they were doing. However, the thing that struck me most was not how they treated me but how they treated all their patients. From where I sat while getting my treatment I could her two interactions with what sounded like elderly patients. The staff were extremely kind to these two gentlemen and waited on them hand and foot. And, Dr. Khursand was soo kind and took her time with both gentlemen. If I didn't have a 20 year relationship with my existing dentist I'd switch to Sunriver Dental in a heartbeat. Oh, and my teeth turned out great. I started out having a rough day and was very late to my dentist appointment, so I showed up expecting to reschedule. Not only did they squeeze me in anyway, but they totally turned my day around!! (never thought I would say THAT about a dentist's office!) Diane is the best hygienist! She answered all of my questions, gave me an excellent cleaning and review as well as checked up on how me and my family are doing. I have a sensitive gag reflex and Leanne took my x-rays without incident. On top of that, Diane and Dr. Khursand found that one of my fillings was broken and fixed it the same day! I had to get babysitting for my little guy during the appointment, so that saved me from an extra visit and extra babysitting! Dr. Khursand was effective, efficient, accommodating of my gag issues, and I think she could write a book on proper customer service. She made me feel cared for and really listened when I spoke. I have had issues with dentists for years- and so for me to reach out is a big deal. I reached out via website, email and phone several times and never received a call back. When I finally did reach them , the reason they gave me for not contacting me was that they were so busy. I made my anxiety quite clear. They tried "upselling" me on many procedures - that were not needed, other than cosmetically. My final appointment (the straw that broke the camel's back) was scheduled for 10am - at 8am - they emailed me asking to reschedule. I did not see the email until I was leaving work for the appointment. Had I cancelled any appointment with a 2 hour notice, they would have charged me $75 - so why would it be ok for them to do it?? The doctor was in an incredible hurry and started working on my mouth before I was numb. I will not go back - and definitely will not send referral business. read more
