    Food truck

This is a really great food truck. Found them outside Momac brewery in Portsmouth. Bulogi tacos, dumplings and rice were all great. Perfect complement to good local beer. I have never seen them before, but hope to again. Norfolk and Va Beach breweries need to put them in the rotation...

My wife, son and I decided to try the food at El Burrito for a second time (we first tried it last…read moretime we lived in the area about 4 years ago, and vowed we would never return). So on a recent evening, we stopped in for what we thought was going to be dinner; Boy were we wrong. Before I bring you along on our journey to what was arguably the most profound bastardization of Mexican cuisine I've ever encountered, I'd like to note the staff was very pleasant and we had no issues with service. Now the "food"....where do I begin? I ordered a burrito which comes standard with what seemed to be a half gallon of melted cheese they call queso (queso simply means cheese in Spanish btw, and this melted amalgamation of horror would never be found in any real Mexican kitchen). Inside was a heaping pile of nothingness, meaning I it was filled wIth every cheap condiment(rice, beans, more rice, some more beans) and literally no steak, a truly remarkable bargain for $11.95. My wife ordered a burrito bowl, which needless to say was equally awful. The lettuce was old, the beans appeared to be mixed with super glue at a 50/50 ratio and beared no semblance to what refried beans are supposed to look or taste like, and the pork was surprisingly edible, but again severely lacking in quantity. The final and most egregious violation of hundreds of years of Mexican culture came in the form of my son's quesadilla. This was no ordinary quesadilla folks; this was something I barley have the ability to describe, but perhaps is best described by averring the same genius that wrote the original Exorcist movie would have been terrified of the thought of consuming this treacherous excuse for edible food (see picture). A floppy, greasy, and discolored tortilla enrobed a hot pile of what looked like roadkill was spackled with and overdose of the afore mentioned "queso" to form what quite possibly was the most off-putting thing I've ever laid eyes on. Again, staff was nice;no issues there. The food is GOD AWFUL and I will NEVER EVER go back.

This is a specious dining area and full service bar with cook at your table barbeque. The all you can eat menu is under $30 with so many meat options all prepared front and center and served right off the coals! The side dishes, seasonings, sauces, appetizers all served with wonderful taste blends and portions. We tried beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, pork belly, spicy beef bulgogi, seafood pancake, and brisket. The side dumplings were really tasty! Kimchi, pickled radish, ginger, zucchini and green salad were all superior! The manager and owners are onsite, attentive front and center. Aaron is planning happy hour, trivia and karaoke nights. Groups could have a wonderful time gathered around the on table grill trying all kinds of authentic Korean offerings. Couples can enjoy a different kind of dining experience for a special meal or just dining out. Really if you live in the area, and you like new dining experiences, locally owned and operated and great food, put Koreana on your list!
