After a few sessions I started to notice the tanning bed was super dirty. They have towels in each rooms and spray bottles, but I was never told what those were for when purchasing my sessions for the first time. I asked the front staff what was the cleaning policy and the purpose for the towels. (I wasn't sure if I had to clean the bed myself after each use) She claimed to clean the beds after her shift but other staff didn't. (Yuck) I decided to switch to the stand up booth instead of the bed and I haven't had any issues since then. The staff is friendly. They also have spray tans which I haven't used.

However i really feel Apotheca needs to know about my experience. I walked out with the second worst hair cut of my life. I asked for a shag hair cut, with curtain bangs. I ended up with some sort of bob like cut. My bangs were utterly destroyed. The stylist took a weird blunt chunk out of the center, and didn't blend them. I have a weird mix of long and short chunks for bangs now. To their credit a senior stylist 'fixed' my bangs-its better than what the original stylist did, but it's still a step below good. I realize I was given to a junior stylist, and it's a learning process, but I think she really needs a senior stylist to take her under their wing and mentor her. I certainly will not be going back.

In all my years of spray tanning, nobody has ever topped Evelyn's work. I go to her because she prides herself on providing quality service. And it shows. My appointment was for Saturday at 2:30. Parking is available at Aldersgate across the street from the salon, but luckily I found street parking. If you're visiting the salon on a weekday, definitely park at Aldersgate. As always, Evelyn was very thorough with me. She explained what she was doing when she was doing it, and made sure the tan was flawless once she finished spraying me. Evelyn provides an exfoliant, aftercare instructions, and lotion to take home with you to use after your shower. The salon itself is cozy and quiet; the perfect addition to the Willow Grove area. Besides spray tans, Evelyn also does sugaring and lash extensions. It's not often that I get spray tans, but I will always refer Evelyn to my family and friends.

Anne was very professional and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to schedule an appointment. She came to my apartment and set up her equipment (a pop up tent, fan, airbrush machine). The tan only took maybe 30 minutes tops to complete (2 coats). Anne was so friendly and sweet and made me feel very comfortable (despite the fact I was almost naked in front of her, lol). She sprayed my whole body including my face, and the morning after, she texted me directions after of how to rinse off and shower with the tan. I am so happy with the results!! After showering off the next morning, my tan is a perfect, natural-looking shade. Overall this was the best spray tan I have ever had in terms of convenience, color, and professionalism. There is no other tanning places in the area so I guess I'm going to make pale happen in the meantime. It bothers me most that they rather refund me then acknowledge the problem. Since then, I have never restarted....yet $66.00 three seperate months all came out of my account, without my consent. That is almost $200.00...not to mention fraudulent. Contacted the owner, appreciate that its a small business and want to support it, especially now. The owner said he would look into it, I have never been refunded, contacted ...so several messages later...still no response. The level of professionalism needs much work. I am now contacting my bank , the first time I said I would try to resolve it , giving the benefit...now...not appreciating the lack of communication. I highly don't recommend this facility just for the shady business.
