The staff really did their best to stay out of the way when needed, be in the way when wanted and pretty much get you anything you might need at a whim. Tesla & EV chargers available. Nate, was exemplary and truly made our experience super comfortable. The rooms were very relaxing and the decks are super spacious. It's was super nice to be able to walk to the beach for a dip, come back to the outdoor lounge area where the fire pits are for cocktails, and then head up to our room for a morning nap. Restaurants on Shelter Island are all 5-6 minutes away. At breakfast they have coffee and croissants at the Sunset Beach office where you check in, and Friday thru Monday mornings they have yoga on the beach. Sundays from 3pm til they close are Balaeric Sundays featuring DJs that rock it. Highly recommended for a relaxing, calming and very chilled beachy stay. The property is truly unique and the staff definitely added to that magic on our stay.

Wonderful spot especially the beach club. Joe M at the beach club was wonderful and set us up with two chairs and umbrella. He was extremely friendly and accommodating. Usually the hotels in the Hamptons don't have good service but this was the exact opposite. Joe really made the experience above and beyond at the beach club. Make sure to have him help you!!! The food at the sunset bar was also amazing especially the kale salad. All in all this was one of my favorite places in the Hamptons!!!

A family member has a medical condition that requires a specific type of mattress, so I called to ask a simple question about what kind of mattresses they offer. I was connected with a woman named Beth, who was shockingly rude and unprofessional. When I began explaining the situation, she literally said, "I don't have time for this," and then followed it with, "Are you making a reservation or not?" I was stunned. We were ready to spend a week here, but after being treated like an inconvenience for asking a basic, medically necessary question, there's no way I'd trust our family vacation to this place. I'm genuinely at a loss for words at how poorly I was treated. Also, I might like to add it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. I think I've only ever left one other negative review on my account. Trying to support small local business has always been a priority of mine and I understand people have good days and bad days so I don't usually take two social media to post a negative review but this was over the top nasty. I felt I needed to do so. Not to mention, I took a screenshot. The phone call was only one minute, so the fact that she became so nasty and saying she shouldn't have time for this I'm flabbergasted.

We just stayed here for the very rainy Memorial Day weekend and were blown away. The hotel and…read morerestaurant have just opened with new owners, and the food was unbelievable. I enjoyed probably the best sea bass I've ever eaten and my wife adored her linguine with little neck clams. Since they've just opened, there are only a few delicious entrees to choose from - more in the weeks to come. But the starters absolutely blew us away. The meatball app was killer (I'm still dreaming about the sauce) and the humbly named "tomatoes on toast" is the Chequit's unique take on bruschetta that should NOT be missed. The cocktails were a delight and the wine list is expansive. Even though the rain spoiled it for us, there are gorgeous outdoor spaces all over the property with swinging chairs for coffee and a morning read or fire pits for evening cocktails, and bikes are available to explore the Island. Next door, the old drug store offers a really tasty diner-counter breakfast and a shop where sun-baked tourists can find anything they could possibly need on holiday. This place is an absolute gem. Book it now before the summer crowds get wind of it!

The food was absolutely the star of the night and every dish felt thoughtful, fresh, and beautifully executed. The tomatoes on toast were incredible! Bright, ripe, and full of flavor, with that perfect balance of freshness and richness. The Sardinian flatbread was another standout, crisp and savory and completely addictive. Even the complimentary bread service was memorable, especially with the basil butter, which was such a simple but delicious touch that made the whole meal feel extra special. The rigatoni was outstanding! Perfectly cooked, comforting, and deeply flavorful without feeling heavy. Everything we had felt polished but still warm and approachable, which is exactly what you want when dining at a hotel restaurant that really overdelivers. Truly one of those meals where you keep talking about the food afterward. What pulled it altogether was the cure little birthday sign waiting for us on our table, 2 glasses of free champagne and dessert to celebrate my husband's birthday. Warm and thoughtful touches that we've never had at a restaurant before and all because i just noted it in my reservations. Truly a perfect evening, highly recommend.
