The good: Absolutely beautiful inside & out: classic structure & picturesque view. Delicious cheesecake. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. The bad: Everything else. The lobster pasta was served lukewarm. It was not bad, however at around $50 I'm expecting more than just "not bad" and a reasonable portion. This main course was so small it could more appropriately be called an appetizer. I photographed it next to a coin to show scale. The high priced Beet salad & side of carrots were also comically tiny. Neither knocked it out of the park in terms of quality. For the price, one expects far more. Most of the desserts on the menu were not available. The staff, while friendly & helpful, seemed overworked and overextended. This resulted in underwhelming, inattentive service. Our water glasses sat empty without an offer of a refill for an unacceptable 5-10 minutes. The staff gave one of us a free coffee and cheesecake slice. I appreciate the gesture however it cannot start to compensate for the very substantial problems here.

With all the covid info going around, I've started carrying Lysol spray if I'm staying out of town. It was a blessing that I had this, as it helped mask the smell, which was a bit overwhelming. From the way it looked when I was able to quickly walk the grounds, if you're able to score a cabin that is the way to go.
