We booked by calling same day, owner was very sweet and accommodating with our late arrival time. Room was very nice, clean, had what we needed and felt very well cared for. Highly recommend this place to anyone driving Route 66 in need of a cozy place to stay!

Veteran family owned & operated, he took his time & did it right. The last time we were there hubby was admiring the concrete work he did outside our regular room. He stamped the concrete & it looks so cool. Most impressive, is the old Route 66 Sign out front. Looks amazing as he has restored it completely. The rooms have all been completely renovated & are super clean & comfy. We have a special room we stay in, we always stay in the same king room. We have stayed here so much that when we call he must know our phone number bc he always knows who we are. We tell him we are coming & he always says "see you when you get here!" We never even have to use a credit card to hold our room he just says "y'all can pay when you get here." One night late he even left the key for us :) A wonderful place to stay on Route 66 that has so much nostalgia with incredible friendly service. The King bed in our room is super comfy. We LOVE staying here :) Can't wait to return! See you again soon! Support Small Business! Highest Recommendations.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience at the Hampton Inn in Santa Rosa, New Mexico…read more What started as a stressful situation--my husband's truck breaking down and a painful foot injury that we feared might be broken--turned into something truly special because of the incredible staff here. From the moment we arrived, the kindness and care we received went far beyond anything we expected. Manager Amy runs an outstanding team and clearly sets the tone for genuine compassion and service. Ray at the front desk was especially wonderful--he went out of his way to help us, even connecting us with his sister Juana, who graciously stepped in to give us rides around town when we needed them. That level of personal care is something you just don't see anymore. Ray himself was also incredibly inspiring and helpful throughout our stay. Susan, who took care of hospitality and the kitchen, made sure we were comfortable and well cared for every day. Andrea kindly gave us a ride to the hospital, Jeremy made sure we got safely back, and Carlos helped with transportation to the mechanic so we could deal with the truck. Each person we encountered showed genuine kindness, generosity, and a willingness to go above and beyond. In a difficult moment, they treated us more like family than guests. If you're ever in Santa Rosa, this is the place to stay. Not just for the rooms--but for the truly exceptional people who work there. Thank you all again for everything--you made a hard situation so much easier, and we will never forget it.

We stayed primarily at Hilton properties on our New Mexico roadtrip, this Hampton being the last…read moreone on a week long trip. They did warn when sending a reminder email about the reservation that the hotel is undergoing renovations and there might be some evidence of that while staying, we were concerned but stuck with the reservation. Besides the note on check in, I did not see any reno being done, but man does this location need it. It seems like it is 20 years outdated and worn out! The king room we staying in was tight except for the very old bathroom that was huge if not very in need of updates and fixes. We also thought the noise in the hotel was a bit more than anywhere else we stayed. We definitely heard a dog, motorcycles from the property outside we could see (private residence) and voices. If they are really doing a reno, this will all be fixed I am sure, but right now it isn't great. It is a hotel off Route 66, a road more dotted with motels than nicer hotels, so maybe it just is what it is for where it is. However, it was place to lay our heads for the night, nothing made me want to stay.

I'm surprised this location has such a low rating. This is in our personal top 3 nicest La Quintas…read moreacross the nation that we've had the pleasure of staying at (Flagstaff, AZ and Cleveland, TN being the other top locations). This location has since been updated and done quite nicely, too (we stayed here about 2 years ago). La Quinta still offers top pricing if you're traveling with your pupper ($25/night), which is a main reason as to why we choose to continually book with them when we make our roadtrips across the nation. For this stay, our room was room 230, which is located on the top floor corner, overlooking the hottub, and on the other side of a not frequented stair-well and exit. This room was very clean and it's location served us perfectly. We had easy access to our parked car and a potty area for our dog. The stairs are carpeted, and the exit door had a soft close, so when in our room, we were unable to hear if other guests were coming and going through the exit door and stairway. Service was extremely pleasant (thanks, Charlie and Jaime)! One of my most favorite things I look forward to when staying at a hotel is the coffee and tea station. This La Quinta offered the most options I've seen in a long while, which I was very excited by. Unfortunately, we had to leave early in the morning, so we were unable to stay and enjoy their hot breakfast (served beginning at 6am). We really appreciate all this hotel offered. From the clean room and we'll maintained property to the complimentary drinks and friendly service. Highly recommend booking with this La Quinta.

Recommend: Yes…read more -Cost conservative. -Spacious rooms. -Continental Breakfast. -Quiet. -Spacious indoor pool. -Wide walkways. Generously sized foyer, breakfast bar and meeting rooms. The property actually has quite a generous footprint and parking is sufficient but close... Tuck in your mirrors! The property is quite aged, brown carpet really requiring some steam cleaning but each room had a sizeable platform, semi modern design and a clean hot shower to get you going. This review teetered between a 3/4 but it GETS a 4 because the price point is RIGHT! It's quiet, indoor entrance platform with ice machines and washing machines on the property really make it a highly recommended price point for under $125.00!!

My choice of this hotel was proximity to a required stop…read more Upon check in I was told that all first floor rooms were taken and I had been put in a second floor room. Normally a non-issue. I travel with a small collapsible wagon to bring things in for a stay. Then I was informed there is no elevator. Not that it was out of order, but the building does not have one. I had no other choice but to stay. Multiple trips were required to bring everything in including a cooler. The stairs closest to the entrance that was recommended to me were just raw metal. It was ironic that there was an accessible button for the door there. It did have an access to the first floor, but if someone checked in that needed accessibility and the first floor was sold out they would be out of luck. I was traveling with my daughter. We went down for breakfast in the morning, made our plates and headed back to our room. Breakfast was ok. My daughter liked that the New Mexico symbol was on her waffle. The staff was nice and there is plenty of parking.
