We had a vision for a beautiful "outdoor room" and for better, more usable yard space and outdoor entertaining space. After meeting with at least 4 or 5 contractors, we decided to go with mathew with Sunset Sky because the price was competitive and we appreciated that the cost was "more inclusive"; for example, with other contractors we would have had to deal with additional contractors for electrical, irrigation and grass replacement. But Sunset Skys quote included all these aspects. The best news is that we are so satisfied with the final result. The pavers are beautiful. I should have started this review by stating that I am super picky and was home overseeing every step of the process. (I know I probably was a pest, but Mathew and his guys were great.) If I didn't like the way something was coming out, I told Mathew (who is the owner of the company and he was on site almost everyday to check in with me, plus he always returned my calls and texts promptly), who quickly took whatever action was necessary to make me happy. I appreciated his flexibility, because sometimes things just need to be adjusted as you go along on a project like this one. Mathew and his foreman were very helpful in helping with the color selection and design elements. (I love the addition of walls, "step lights" and pillar lights.) Today there are a few final details being finished (irrigation related), but we were just so excited with the final project that we decided to post this review. Our project included the installation of a large section of artificial turf, replacing all irrigation lines and landscape lighting in our back yard and all around the perimeter of our house, and removing and replacing large areas of decorative gravel. Mat met with me initially to work on and determine the details of the design and scope of work. He offered great ideas and was even flexible to making modifications as the project proceeded. 04/04/2023 Tucson/Marana AZ Matt arrived on time for his appointment to provide an estimate for; yard cleanup, weed control (removal of weeds & spraying a pre-emergent to prevent future growth), tree/shrub trimming, etc. Matt's quote was more than reasonable. When I inquired as to when the service could begin, his response was, "How about this afternoon?" (A huge help and relief for me!) Within three hours, two hard working gentlemen arrived, and completed a job that would've taken me days, in about two and a half hours! The yard looks great! After getting many quotes and talking to other companies to work on my backyard, I decided to go with sunset Sky . Matthew was very personable and understanding and had many ideas to fix the issues we were dealing with. We replaced all of the grass, along with getting an underground drain and dry pits. His crew came on time and got started quickly. It was originally quoted to take a week, but within two days most of the work was done.
