We were there to have fun like everyone else, and the way the situation was handled felt unnecessary and disrespectful. The employee then tried to move our group to a different area of the bowling alley. When I explained that we wanted to stay where we were, he walked away. About 20 minutes later, he returned and told us we had to move because a bowling league was about to start. What bothered me most was the lack of professionalism and communication. If the lanes were reserved for a league, that should have been explained clearly from the beginning instead of approaching us multiple times and making us feel singled out. The entire interaction left us feeling unwelcome and frustrated. I expect better customer service and more respectful treatment of paying customers. So Andrettis is an indoor karting, laser tag, and game room located right next to the Convention Center on International Drive. This place definitely was easily accessible from the main road and had plenty of parking in their private parking lot. So on the day of our event, upon arrival, we were greeted immediately and checked in quickly and efficiently. The staff were all very kind and helpful! The party room was located in the back of the building and was a pretty spacious room, with its own private bathroom. For our birthday package we opted for the laser tag, and arcade option for the kids and it kept them occupied for a few hours. Now for the food, I was very impressed by the quality and presentation of all the items we selected! Yes the food was just your average fried bar food... but I thought everything was super fresh and all came out very quick. The pizza, wings, and cheese curds were outstanding! Lastly, our party attendant was top notch! She was very attentive, had great communication, and made sure we had everything we needed. My 8-year-old brought his inside. Instead of giving us a heads-up when we walked in, the staff waited until we were halfway through our game to abruptly shut off our lane, citing a "no outside food/drink" policy. We pack the water bottle away completely without drinking from it. Instead of acting reasonably, the young woman in charge absolutely refused to turn our lane back on. She seemed to genuinely relish the bizarre power trip she was on. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects families and its customers.
