Yesterday (after turning down substitute teaching jobs for today), I rec'd a call that my appt was again being cancelled because my usual hygienist was no longer there--the same excuse from months ago. I don't care who cleans my teeth...I just want it done. I questioned why I was cancelled twice and suggested the secretary cancel someone else (who hadn't previously been canceled) and get back to me. I rec'd no call by the end of the business day, so I called and left a message. This morning at 6:45, I rec'd a call and was told that nobody else agreed to cancel their appt. I was TOLD my appt was cancelled...others were given a choice???? What sort of way is this to run a business or to treat longtime patients? Now booking is into 2026....so I miss out on a cleaning I am entitled to thru my insurance. And I had a dental issue to discuss with my dentist. This is unacceptable and I am not smiling. Instead, I will begin the search for a new dentist.

He was NOT notified that the bur had gone missing during his visit/procedure. After almost dying from an infection this was surgically removed from his lung and identified as a dental bur. I was told nothing was available until the following Monday unless someone called in to cancel. They would not relent repeating 2pm as the time and I asked if I could be worked in or rescheduled. Girardi was informed and he told me to go somewhere else. I arrived there and he sat me on the chair and he put the cotton with the get in my mouth and because I have gag reflex he declined to do the job and told me I had to be sedate me in order to be able to do my fillings. When I went up front to Jenny, she quoted me at $1190 out of pocket for the procedure. In a matter of seconds he raised my procedure by over $1100. Not to mention that when I called to get my medical records and take them to another clinic, Dr Tinelli was super rude and refused to work with me in any way claiming that he doesn't want to do it without the sedation so we can avoid the "hassle". So by him avoiding the hassle I have to pay an additional $1100 so he doesn't have to see me gag and he can go about his day. I mentioned that I have always had work done with other Dr's in the past and they never had sedated me and he told me to take my business to my previous Dr's (1000 miles away). Like any other dental clinic they do a consultation first (2 months prior), which they had already done along with a cleaning and he knew about my gagging and at that moment he NEVER once mentioned about being sedated until the day of my appointment. I will never go back nor refer anyone there. Although besides him and Jenny at the front desk the rest of his staff is super professional and nice. It's a shame that he is a piece of sh*t doctor.

I…read morehad four crowns done back last year in August, the temporaries didn't fit right, constantly told them that they weren't fitting right that didn't feel right and I had pain in one of the teeth. Originally I was only supposed to get crowns not get root canals, I agreed to the root canals but never knew that I was getting these stupid posts jammed into my teeth. One of the tooth structures I could understand because it had chipped so far down that it needed the extra build up. However when the time came to put the permanent ones on, these two didn't fit right and one of my teeth I kept complaining before the permanent crowns were put on that I had pain, and then I had pain in another tooth. They kept telling me " it'll settle, don't worry about it don't worry about it. I'm the dentist I know." I have two previous crowns from a dental dental institute that I've had since 2016, perfectly flush against the gums, no gaps no nothing. No pain no sensitivity perfectly fine. These four crowns that I have now? Monstrosities, there's a gap between the gum and the crown, one of the crowns is extremely loose and painful, and another one just any type of pressure on the crown it's excruciating. When I told them that? Their idea was the shape the crown a little bit so when I close my mouth my teeth don't touch. Okay, so how about when I'm eating? I can't even eat on that side. I absolutely refuse to go back to this dentistry and have them anywhere near my mouth again. I'm already needing to pay out of pocket to get this fixed which is ridiculous. I highly advise anyone looking into going to this place to avoid it at all costs. I'm already thinking about filing a malpractice suit if not already filing a complaint with the board of New York dentistry. This is unacceptable, in every way shape and form. Like others, I really should have did a simple Google search to check reviews. Just because this dentistry accepts Medicaid or Medicare. Our options are limited, but do not risk your teeth destruction going to this place.
