If I could give them less than one star I absolutely would. Mid last year they pulled multiple of my then 3 year olds (J) teeth, did two lower root canals and crowns with space maintainers. They threatened to call CPS on my family if we didn't bring any of my children to their appointments. We left their servic because of this and other issues. Earlier this year J had one of the crowns snap at the root, taking the capped tooth and the space maintainers with it. When I called them because THEIR work didn't last 6 months, their response was that they would take an x-ray but that's it. As of tonight, my child's second capped tooth is breaking and holding on by a thread. None of my children have had problems like this. This practice 100% will do what makes them money. The dentist I went to in Watertown that removed the portions of bone left in her mouth said without question the tooth should have NEVER been capped. They chose to crown my child's teeth instead of extract them to line their own pockets and now I have to have the second tooth extracted anyways. Absolute terrible practice, I wouldn't recommend a fly to them. read more

I complained about their incompetence and they discontinued my care. Illegal? Yep. Filing a claim with dental association and others. They offer substandard care. I had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment to see an oral surgeon but in that time they could not manage to find me an antibiotic that worked. I had to reschedule my appointment for yet another three weeks because it was too infected. In addition, the oral surgeon said they gave me the worst prescription for antibiotic allergies. Would give zero stars if there was an option. My 71 yr old mother went in to get dentures, the process took almost 5 moths, them when they were finally in from whatever lab they send them to, they were so far off, but they sent her home and said try them, after a week, she couldn't take it anymore, her gums were bruised and bleeding, no way for her to actually eat with them, she called and said she needed them fixed, they said could get her in a month later, she resorted to where if no teeth, went back in a month later, still they sent her home with the wrong fit, painful and awful, now she has to wait 2 months... Then they had the audacity to keep calling her and said she now's owes them 89 dollars!?! Fix her dentures, then you'll get your money! What a bunch of jerks, incompetent, awful and neglectful! You Definitely Don't Want This Dental Office! I called McCue Dental and left a message that I needed to be seen for an urgent appointment. That afternoon I called a second time and spoke to a woman who sounded very unpleasant. She told me that she would need time to get authorization from my insurance company before I could have an appointment. So, it would take a week before I could be seen. The next day another woman called me about my voicemail. She sounded very pleasant. She told me that it was strange that the first woman I had spoken with had not simply looked up my record in their computer since this was easy to do. She told me that she would call me back when she was able to schedule an appointment for me. She also told me that if I did not hear from her before Friday, I should call her back. So, on Friday I did call their office. The phone rang and rang. I have two numbers for their office. I tried both. Then I googled their hours. They are closed on Fridays. She had lied to me. Obviously, I won't be seeing a dentist at McCue Dental. I would advise you to do the same. read more

BEWARE people , the dentist is a smooth talker and a nice sales person. If you go here he will convince you that you have a problem with your teeth and start filing "cavities " or pulling teeth out or referring you to his buddy Lee Atkin (oral surgeon) to have more pulled out. Then set up up for partials to get more insurance money. He knows most patients are ignorant and takes advantage to seize the insurance money. Smooth sales man here. Dentist are always feeling underpaid and this dentist has found a way to keep his pockets lined. Also if your on Medicaid or from the North Country Freedom Home in Canton you better watch out! I stopped taking my son there when they quoted me $1000 for a root canal on a tooth they screwed up by never having an appointment available to remove his spacer. Their offices also are not interconnected so the Fulton office doesn't know what the Watertown office nor any of their other offices are doing. My son lost one of his adult molars due to their incompetence, AND I ended up having to suffer myself, as two teeth that Watertown asked to remove weren't on the surgical order for my extractions. Those broken, diseased teeth are still in my mouth three years later. Go to Connextcare dentistry instead - don't waste your time with these clowns. read more

My granddaughter who is 5 years old went here because when she woke up her face was swollen, her dad called to get an appointment for her, they tried to get it later in the week he insisted that it was same day. When she went in they said she had a bad tooth, they noticed an abcess and pulled the tooth, AND 2 others..the only thing they used was novacaine which they didn't give time to take affect. Then to top it all off the staff I am not sure which one but they basically berated her dad which was already worried about what was going on..making him feel it was his fault VERY unprofessional service. Would NOT reccomend this dentist. Thank goodness she was sent to Syracuse where proper care is being done. read more

Absolutely the worst dental office, not to mention 3 full large breed dogs walking around the entire office! Hygenic? They just lay around all over the floor and was rather inconvenient to have to jump over them. One dog even came in the room while my son had his teeth cleaned. That's sanitary? My son had tooth pain and we did not have a dentist here since moving to Watertown. I called around and got an appointment within a few days. The dentist stated the tooth needed to be pulled. I told the dentist I wanted nitrous oxide because my son was extremely anxious and wanted me in the room. I specifically asked if I could be in the room while his tooth was pulled. Of course, no problem was the dentists response and I asked more than once because my so never had a tooth pulled. The day arrived and I was given a form to sign regarding parental procedures. It stated I was not allowed in the room unless it was a consultation. I told them I was going to be in the room and Dr. McCue argued with me for a minimum of 20 minutes in front of a customer filled waiting room. He stated he was the owner and if i didnt like his policies to basically go somewhere else. I contemplated to have the procedure done with me sitting in the waiting room because they wouldnt even let me stand in the hall outside the door - oh but one of the three dogs could have, how nice! My son told me to find someone else because he wanted me present in the room. As we were standing there waiting for the actual dentist to finish his double booked afternoon I cancelled a cleaning for my other child My son and I left after being there nearly an hour and no procedures were completed. The staff and doctors I met didnt seem to care about the patient and and were not friendly whatsoever. I would never recommend McCue Dental to anyone. read more

I tried this dental clinic based on his work with elderly folks that I have taken care of. I have been sorely disappointed. First, it has been over a year since I have actually seen a dentist when I have come in for dental hygiene. The dentist lied to me after I had a bad experience with one of his dentist and promised to have me see only him. That has never happened since he made that promise. I would not recommend them to anyone. They also waited until the second week in July to tell me they will no longer treat adults. I have a new dentist and the office informed me they have picked up several of the patients his group deserted with no planning involving their current patients. I would drive to Syracuse if I had to before I would ever go to this group again. read more

Although the staff and Doctors are nice and do effective work, the four times I have been to this office, my appointment time was changed last minute each time. I needed to cancel a fifth appointment because I awoke that morning with a high fever. This was in early August. They penalized me by saying they couldn't get me in again until the last couple of days in September. They sent me a clear message that their time is more valuable than mine and that they don't value repeat customers. read more

I'm completely and utterly confused by the business practice at Mccue Dental in Watertown. My boyfriend goes there yet when his bills were sent to me in my name. I'm not a client there so I do not know how or why they have my name. After calling 6 times and asking them to change it because I am not responsible for his bills... Today the new bill came to the correct person yet they have added a $5.00 fee for changing the name in the bill from mine to him ???? The dentist there that runs the office only works a half of day, once a week. He has no idea what his office staff is doing because he is never there. And let me tell you, if you call about results or a follow up appt. they treat you like you are bothering them. A simple procedure ends up taking months and several visits. Also, they may have a health code violation as they have several dogs in the exam rooms roaming about, and it's unsanitary. The doctor wears a cap and mouth cover but there are 3 huge dogs with long hair walking around your chair while being worked on. Nasty. read more

I'm 40 yeara old and have moved around alot seen lots of different dentists. I gotta say out of all of them they did the best job on my partials. Longest, most derable pair ive ever had. They take pride in their work. My kids go there too and are very comfortable with them and i have no complaints. I read a few of the other reviews and saw one Complaining about the dogs. They are definitely NOT dirty and im not even a dog person . I feel they make the place more friendlier. They are very well groomed dogs. Dont shed, smell great. And in my eyes if someone loves dogs like that enough to bring them to work then that shows they are very caring people. And its a plus for the kids. Makes it ALOT more interesting to go to the dentist. I look forward to seeing them when i visit. As do my kids. Im glad i finally found a dentist i enjoy coming to and trust with my mouth. And every month they do drawings for the kids to win an electric toothbrush. Both my kids won one and were so excited. Love this place and everyone treats you great and they even pull over time on the weekends to accommodate others schedules.
