Terrible customer service. Although a wide selection of plants, the staff were very rude. I can get what I need elsewhere.

The plants all looks so healthy and fresh... they are really in good shape and well take care of!! I definitely encourage gardeners to pick up some for their own gardens or you can get an indoor plant arrangement as gifts too!!

They also provide good training to help staff not in the Horticultural programs. So do go buy the great plants.

I called them 2 days before Mother's Day to order an assortment of plants to be delivered to my mum in St Catharines. The lady on the phone sounded like she had better things to do and my business didn't matter at all. She was impatient with me when I took less than 15 seconds to grab my credit card and when I asked her why she was so rude, she had the audacity to say - "Well I don't know why you didn't have your credit card out to begin with". I placed the order nonetheless. Later found out that my credit card was charged for $28 more than stipulated on the website. I called them all day - phone was unavailable. When I finally got in touch, the same curt lady came to the phone and said - " I would assume you knew it's tax and the delivery fee." The business is IN St Catharines - same small town as my mum's residence, $28 in tax and delivery?!! Also, why was I not made aware of this on our initial phone conversation? Not to mention that no receipt or proof of purchase was emailed to me. By now I was fuming and gave her a piece of my mind. The only saving grace to this unpleasant experience, was that my mum liked the plants. But I would never go through this ordeal with them again. You absolutely cannot be in the floral business and bark at customers - I can't imagine someone calling to order flowers for a somber occasion and having to deal with this lady's "I'm so busy, what do you want" tone. No paying customer should ever have to be treated like they're doing the business owner a favour.

I bought their peach tree from Plants World at Eglinton West, Toronto…read more 1. I had hard time to find healthy peach tree. Store had about 15 from this nursery, and all had sap leaking at/below surface level. 2. I am experienced buyer, so first of all I tried to find root crown, to plant it properly. I choose plant with nice frame, and about 15 walnut-size peaches on it; it was not biggest "Catherina Peach", but I believed healthiest. What I discovered is that it was - planted too deep in a pot, at least 5" deeper than needed - graft union was at the surface level (and I had really hard time finding rootstock specs from 5 tags attached) - rootstock was almost dead: heavy sapping. I used high power spray to clean it, and then Hydrogen Peroxide. Bottom 5"-6" (whole rootstock) is heavily sapping, with many deep holes on a trunk. Bacterial infection etc. - about 2-3 gallons root ball was planted in a 15 gallon pot. - extremely bad smelling soil consisting of pieces of wood mixed with bark and perhaps home-made compost of unknown origin. I washed everything out with high-power hose spray setting. The next morning I found hundreds of small green flies on a tree... perhaps were born in this soil. - it was planted in a pot in a weird angle (rootstock and scion are about 120 degree to each other; so that Mori Essex Nurseries simply planted it very deep in a pot to hide tree training issues) Anyway... do not buy anything from them without first educating yourself. I had much better experience with online bare root orderings from few other Ontario nurseries: no any such issues. Including peach trees, all were super healthy with zero sapling.

Then said a week later that their greenhouse malfunctioned "and all their trees died". So I wanted a refund back, NEVER got it, though they said they sent it in the mail. They gave me the run around, are terrible at communication unless they're receiving money. Not helpful and not a business I would recommend at all!! All I wanted was either some trees, or my money back. Awful!
