Had my fifth facial since leaving my last review! I also got 3 scalp treatments and noticed some amazing results (more hair growth, less flakes and dryness, fullness of hair)! The scalp treatment is authentic hydra facial by Keravive. Some salons say they have hydra facial but it is not authentic. You can check by going to the hydra facial website and typing in the salon name. Amy is awesome! She's very good to me. Gives you the full pampering you deserve and my skin is glowing. So I do the hydra facial and collagen facial. I like to switch off each month. The scalp treatment is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It is recommended to do that treatment every month the first 4-6 months then every other month after. I have my 4th scalp treatment at the end of January. read more

This week was the last session of my package, and to be honest, it was quite disappointing. I won't be returning, nor will I be recommending this place to my friends, for the following reasons: 1. The esthetician is dog-sitting a friend's dog at home, and there was frequent barking. Since it's a large dog, the barking was very loud and disruptive. Altogether, there were at least 10 minutes filled with dog barks mixed with children's voices. 2. The towel used to wipe my face had an unpleasant odor. 3. Perhaps because I was the last client of the day, the esthetician seemed to be in a rush. She was hitting/pressing my face quite hard with the ultrasonic wand. I mentioned to her during the session that it was too hard. I really disliked this final session. I didn't feel relaxed at all and just wanted it to end as soon as possible. read more

Amy is a real gem esthetician. Her skills is amazing , I fell asleep during 1 hour facial signature massage and neck treatment for $105. My facial start with cleansing, exfoliating, extractions, face mask, toner, moisturize, sunscreen. Amy was massged my shoulders, chest, arm, hand make me more relaxing. The room is clean and cozy , privacy. I can touch my skin and feel more smooth, and definitely been so long to have done facial and worth it money and time. I have purchased a Groupon for the signature facial with neck treatment. They are usually booked and i just took first available appointment through phone. It is located exactly at the intersection and easy to miss it. Google maps showed correct location. It looks small from the outside but trust me they have The Best service. They were already aware about the appointments and they just confirmed my name and directed me to the room. From starting to end, everything is on spot. They did massage to my hands too along with my neck. It was so relaxing. And the little massage for my hair at the end is added bonus. She said it will take 1 hour but took 20 minutes more, which shows they do not hurry rather than concentrate more on giving best service to the customer. read more

I've been coming to Sunshine Spa for more than a year and cannot recommend it enough. Amy is very professional, prompt and the salon is well-run. Scheduling is a breeze and I appreciate the appointment reminders. Her technique is amazing; my skin always feels so pampered when I walk out. Her attention to detail is impeccable. The first couple of times I came in she asked if she could "clean up" my eyebrows; now she doesn't even ask. My brows thank her. She gives a mini massage while the masque sets. The massage covers upper back, neck arms, hands (bonus points for popping my knuckles!) and scalp. I consider the massage a bonus since no other esthetician has ever given me one in the history of me getting facials. Last but not in the very least, Amy understands her clients' needs. I am claustrophobic which I try to deny because it's embarrassing. I tried toughing it out my first visit but caved when she tried leaving to clean her equipment. She came back, kindly wiped the masque off my eyes and stayed in the room with me. My second visit, she recommended we try a lighter masque but that too generated a small panic attack so now she leaves my eye area uncovered. SO GOOD! Seriously. Incredible. I was on the fence about even writing this review, because I'm worried that people will start bombarding them with appointment requests and I won't get a slot. I got a Groupon on for the facial with the hyaluronic acid, ultrasound and led lights and this FAR EXCEEDED what I was expecting. The space was small but clean. They use GM Collins products, which I wasn't familiar with, but my skin has nonnegative reactions to. I had Angela, and I swear that woman has magic hands. She gave me a neck and thorough face massage. She explained every single step and was SO SWEET. At one point she had to take out the towel headband that was keeping my hair back, and readjust it. She excused herself to go wash her hands so that no oil from my hair would get on my face. (She washed her hands several times during the appointment to make sure everything was clean and sanitary). Bought a Groupon and it did expire, I called to schedule a facial knowing I wouldn't get my Groupon deal but the fine print specifically states "The amount paid ($63.20) will NEVER expire and may be applied toward the original goods or services specified on this voucher." The women who answered the phone was very rude and rushed me off the phone without letting me finish a sentence or listening to my questions. She abruptly interrupted me saying "we don't except Groupon for a long time, that's been done for a long time, call Groupon for a refund." I have been getting hydrafacial and collagen 90 with Amy for years. I recently started a package cycle of the Keravive scalp treatment with Amy, and after just one month, I can already feel the difference. My scalp feels so much healthier and cleaner. After moving to the Bay Area, I was apprehensive on finding a regular facial spot (had a wonderful regular spot in LA Koreatown) and am so happy I found this spot! Been going to Amy for at least 5 years for my facial and recently started tried scalp treatment, and already on my second package. Both the facial and scalp hydrafacial were great, and always relieved me of my problems. I was able to see instant results after a facial, and can see hair growth after a scalp treatment. Being on the second package for scalp treatment, I have already noticed significantly less hair loss, and growing tremendous amounts of hair around my hairlines. This review is seriously overdue..I've been coming to see Amy at Sunshine Spa for over a year now for facials. I first found this spa through Groupon and after the first visit I was very pleased with the service so I continue to buy facial packages and keep up with my every 4 week facial regimen. I take my skin care very seriously and had specifically found this spa because they have a hydra facial MD machine. Many spas in the area will advertise they do a "hydra facial" but it's from a non reputable machine and the only one I will use is from the company hydra facial MD in which Sunshine Spa does own the machine. The hydra facial that Amy provides is exceptional and leaves my face glowing and repaired for weeks! I usually alternate between hydra facial and the signature facial which appears to really be a good combo for my mid 30s skin. Amy is professional, kind, and an expert at her job. She goes above and beyond to make you feel at home at her business. I love that she provides neck, back, arm, hand massage during my mask time at the end of the massage for approx 10 minutes. I am a nurse and spend a lot of time on computer and this added massage really is appreciated. I even fall asleep I'm So relaxed, which is hard to do during a facial. Amy is so good at massage I would like to start adding on extra massage time to my facials! I plan to continue to support this small business and looking forward to getting my facials with Amy. got a groupon for a facial, and really enjoyed it! Amy was very professional and got straight to it. I do have to say, the outside of the spa is well..not the most welcoming to say the least, but once you get past the front door, you'll be at ease! You basically get to wear this terry cloth around your body, and can choose to lay down over or under the sheets, depending on temperature preference. She was really great at the massage. Extractions weren't too bad and went by quickly, and she even offered to fix up my eyebrows, too. Two seconds later, i sort of freaked out, and thought to myself "I didn't specify how or whatnot), but after the facial, I checked it out, and they look good! There were a couple of times Amy walked out of the room, probably to change some kind of material, so maybe in the future she could mention why she is leaving, but she left only for a minute or two. She ends up massaging your arms, hands, and shoulders. I could definitely have done with more pressure, but unfortunately, when she was doing the massage, there is a hydrating mask on you (including your lips!) so if you talk, well, you get a little taste of mask, which I wasn't open to trying :). Lots of good smells. Your face feels super hydrated at the end of it. And she definitely goes to the full hour (not including the changing of clothes), which is very fair. read more

I have been to the sunshine spa for almost four years for massage. Amy is really good as a massage therapist. She recently starts her facial professional career, which amazed me a lot. I have been having acne problem for years, and none of the clinics could really get rid of them completely.
