I can really recommend MeMe from my personal experience going to her for hormonal acne concerns over the last 4.5 months. Best facial I've ever received. This is a great place for a facial if you're looking to troubleshoot and learn about your skin. Meme is a godsend. I swear! I came to her with a horrible breakout last summer. Usually my skin is just clogged and congested, but my face started getting HUGE, painful cystic pimples everywhere and they were leaving scars on my face! I went to Meme before I started college, so I'm long due for a review. When I was a teen, I often had acne that just spread across my cheeks and chin. Before my appointment, she asked me to bring in my daily routine skincare products. She read all the ingredients and asked questions like how often I exfoliate my skin and so on. Meme is the best in the business! I have had mild acne all my life (I am 41). I have been to the best dermatologists in Texas and in California. They are not as knowledgeable as Meme about the right products for my skin. They would hand me an Rx for Retina/antibiotics/benzoyl peroxide/etc. and want to see me every 3-6 months for follow-ups. I was told more than once that there's not a good sunscreen for people with sensitive skin who are prone to breakouts. I was told to "Wear a hat." I've researched and tried numerous skin clearing systems, to no avail. Proactiv worked for a bit in my late 20's, but then I developed an allergic reaction to the one thing that helped my skin (benzoyl peroxide). When I went back to see what the dermatologist's could do, they all just threw up their hands and gave me antibiotics. Acne is Meme's job. She takes it very seriously. From the first visit she nailed the products that were right for my skin. My skin has never looked better! And when I do have a rare breakout, it heals so much faster than before. On top of all that, she is very down to earth, recommends products that meet your budget, and she doesn't expect that you come every 6 weeks. I only see her when I need more products and/or if I feel like my skin is stressed, which is not often.
