This company is professional and knows what they are doing. I was a landscaper for about 10 years before becoming a contractor. I had run a crew in Carlsdadt. I had a few stumps left from cutting yews at the base that I needed removed (I wasn't going to do it lol) Mike knew they were yews when he looked at the stumps. I also needed my front lawn power raked, soiled, seeded and fertilized. He did a great job and knew what seed was best for what locations and the proper fertilizers to use. He even taught me something about fertilizing I didn't know. Yeah so, I quized him without him knowing. He knows his stuff. He's easy to deal with. Professional, and did a great job on my lawn. Man am I happy I chose Sunshine!!! My landscaper of 25 years just retired and sold his business. I was stuck with having to use the new landscaper or find someone else. When I met the new landscaper I just didn't like him. He was also located about 15 miles from my house. Not sure how that would work so I started looking. I had seen Sunshine had great reviews and my friend uses them and has no complaints. I set up an estimate with Mike and he came out. The estimate was fair and I signed the contract. 2 days later I get home and my clean up and mulch was done. I wasn't expecting it to be done so fast. The owner of the company called us and told us Yelp has been doing this to him for a YEAR! All because he won't pay them $3000 a month they are asking! What a joke! We had just moved to Kearny and needed a lot done on the landscaping side. We looked at reviews and called a few different companies to get an idea of what we can do and how much it will cost. One of those places was Sunshine. They were reasonably priced and had great ideas and a great timetable. They did a phenominal job! We had the entire lawn front and back re done. The old flower bed borders ripped out and new ones put in. Everything trimmed up, mulched, and privacy bushes installed along the back fence. We also had perennials installed It was done beautifully. Best company around! My husband left a review for them a week or so ago and it was taken down. Why would a company like yelp take reviews down from satisfied customers??? Mike reaches out and asked if we could leave another one and without hesitation it was a yes. If this one is taken down I will be calling yelp myself! People deserve the positive feedback they earn! This crew is experienced. I have been trying to grow grass in my back yard fir the past 5 years. Nothing I did worked. I have a large tree that blocks the sun partially so I was told I couldn't get grass there. I was starting to believe it. Well I read Mikes reviews and decided to give it one more shot. I'm in love! One thing I've learned is cheapest is not best. I can give you 50 examples. Reason fir me saying that is I had Mike and his guys come out fir a cleaning and trimming. His price was in the middle of the 5 I received. I only went with him because he said he could do it this week. Well I'm happy I did. The extra $60 is nothing compared to what was done. There wasn't a leaf or small stick left! Nothing. No excuses. Just done. That's hard to find period anymore. I recommend these guys. read more

Ok so I called this company for a quote on a few things I needed done at my house. The neighbors trees were growing over my fence into my yard. I asked 2 times and nothing happens so I had to do it. I also needed a clean up that wasn't done last year, a big job. I called on a Saturday and Mike came out the same day to give me the quote. It was fair so we hired them. Mike and his team are professional and courteous. They always show up to cut the lawn and I never have a problem from my neighbors like with my last landscaper. I requested an extra cut date because I was having a birthday party for my son and they came and got it done the day before. My old landscaper wouldn't even show up on regular schedule cuttings. Example of greatness! I hired this company to rip out and seed the front of my house. During the process we got rain out of nowhere. In their trailer they had a canopy and metal spikes they set up over the work area to continue the job and get it finished. I was seriously impressed.
