Me and my crew was broke down outside of Grand Junction and had to use Sunshine to get anywhere (DONT I repeat don't use the city bus) for the first couple of days the cab was spot on with arrival. They have text messaging to let you know where your cab is at. However, it would be helpful to get a text letting you know where you are on the list for pick up. We waited for a little over two hours for a van since there was five of us. When we called to see where our taxi was the man on the other line was rude and hung up on us. Another time we needed a ride the driver asked if we want the cheapest route, we laughed said well yeah. That trip cost 40.60 on the way back the driver didn't ask and that trip ended up being 36.00 WTF?! Big No No! The price of service is decent and the drivers are friendly and funny. If you choose to use them there maybe a wait if you have a large party. When it was just me I didn't have long to wait. No matter the good or the bad we have some great stories to share around the camp fire. Thanks again Sunshine you do need to work on some of your customer service but all in all I would use your service again. read more

I am a medicaid provider and am very disappointed in the service provided to my clients. They have had to wait 2 or more hours in the lobby after business hours for a return ride. They provide poor customer service and are unwilling to work with clients to meet their needs. Clients are often falsely accused of misusing medicaid funds. At this point they basically have a monopoly on the taxi service so they can do whatever they want. Clients are at their mercy and have no other options. To top it off they question myself and my business though I have been in business in the valley since 2017. I really do not have anything good to say about them. read more

Called a day ahead for a 5 am pickup for the airport. Next morning called dispatch twice and cab finally showed up 30 minutes late. Cab was new and clean. Driver was presentable. If you use these folks for airport I would allow some time. Update- sunshine contacted me through yelp and offered a full refund. Seems as if they are serious about improving. read more

The office staff at this company our ridiculous, I have bee having the same issues since May, Cody/Arron being extremely rude, I have been left on the side of a dark road for 3 hours in the rain, I have been left at the grocery store after being dropped off by the taxi with dispatch knowing I need to return ride and when I requested that return ride was told there was no one available, I have a good understanding that they only have drivers if the special arrangements are made for Delta at night, however I tried to schedule that ride during the day and the driver showed up later in the afternoon dispatch chose to leave me stranded rather than to send a driver from Grand junction. I was injured on the walk home the 8th after they left me stranded, my State paid care giver requested a ride to the Dr , it was scheduled with dispatch and immediately counseled by Eddie. They asked that only I make my reservations however my messages don't always go through so my PCP often has to send the message. I'm sorry Sunshine rides feels I'm a problem and has now chosen to refuse me service. read more

After telling the cab driver our destination, he immediately told us that he did not have a meter in the taxi. He presented an excel printout of local addresses, distances and prices. He pointed to the sheet and told us that our destination was 8.2 miles away and that the cost would be $27.10. I was immediately suspicious of the distance and cost. I was immediately suspicious that the driver was not using a meter. I was also suspicious that the cab driver asked us if we were from Grand Junction. We are not, yet we have done many visits from our hotel to the St Mary's hospital and medical facilities nearby. I knew that the locations where we were going was not 8.2 miles away. MapQuest shows the distance at being 3.0 miles. My wife and I had medical appointments and procedures that did not allow us to drive. Otherwise, I would have exited the cab immediately and not used Sunshine Taxi. By the way, management at La Quinta Inn and Suites were very helpful in not only in reporting this incident to the cab company, but they also provided us a shuttle back to our hotel. read more

1.0 star rating 9/4/2016 Worst customer service ever!!!!! I called requesting a cab for my girlfriend and her 3 children, mind you she doesn't own a vehicle therefore why would she walk around with a car seat. Well Sunshine doesn't have car seats and being it's state law they said they couldn't take a woman and her 3 children 4 miles down the road. After asking the dispatcher if she was telling me that a woman and her 3 children have to walk he replied YES!!!! So not only does Sunshine make women and children walk, their rules change depending on whose working the shift. Thanks Sunshine Taxi! I had been flying all day because the flights were delayed. I could not get ahold of the person responsible for picking me up once I landed in Grand Junction and our flight was getting in super late. So, I called Sunshine Taxi. Once I landed I headed outside to meet up with my taxi driver since I still had to wait for baggage claim. I noticed someone walking straight towards me..."Mariah?" um yes it is! t is so nice to have someone waiting for you at the airport. Dan gave me a lift and he was very friendly, polite, personable, and determined to get everyone to their destination in a fun and timely fashion. Had a reservation for new year's eve. Anticipating that they would be busy, I expected the cab to be late. I mean, the drivers' can't control how many stops the previous rider may have. The cab was close to the time I reserved it for and my driver, wade, was professional and courteous. The cab was clean, a plus, especially when you've taken a hack in the big city. Comparing to service I've received from hack companies in Chicago, Sunshine Taxi provided limo service. I'm very pleased with the service, and will definitely use them again. :) read more

Horrible service. Quoted me one price and then charged me almost $10 more than what was agreed upon. Never, ever rely on Sunshine Cab, especially if you are a tourist and not familiar with the way Sunshine Cab ignores clients' time frames. First and foremost, they should meet the ONE daily Amtrak train. When you debark from the train, you are stranded at the dilapidated station. When you call for a cab they are oh so nice but then never show up on time. In the one hundred degree heat, this is a real problem. When they finally do, they play with the computer instead of getting you on your way. The drivers are an unfriendly lot and only worry about the fare. We almost missed our train due to their incompetence. Find an Uber! Sunshine Cab is a cloudy mess. Believe it or not, they are not even familiar with the waving for a cab method of flagging them down. DAH! read more

Called for a cab at 6:50. Driver showed up around 7:10. Usually the other taxi companies in town take FOREVER...and I'm not exaggerating. 45 min-1 hour wait times, can't pick us up outside of a certain jurisdiction, blah blah blah...but NOT sunshine. They were quick and called me when they were right outside to pick me up. The best part of my ride was the driver, Jaime. She was super personable and friendly! The ride seemed so quick! Have used Sunshine a few times in the past with success, but... We made an appointment with Sunshine Taxi for a 12:15 am pick up on New Years Day for our 15 yo son that attended a church party. At 12:40 am our son had not been picked up. We called the office to inquire and spoke with Katie, the assistant manager. Katie not only was trite and rude but dropped a few F-Bombs along the way. Not really the way I had hoped to start the new year. There are different ways to operate a business, but as for me, I don't do business with people who act in an intolerant and hostile manner toward others. Very disappointed with the service and upset following a really bad phone call. Yelp will not be the only place where my review of this company will be heard or seen. read more

I waited for an hour after I called for a taxi. After an hour, they called me back to ask if I still needed one! Unbelievable! NO WHERE in Grand Junction takes an hour of driving to get to. I should have just walked. Absolutely horrible. read more

Ugh. I made a reservation more than 24 hours in advance for them to pick me up at the airport at 4:45... I was outside waiting at 4:40 and when 15 minutes past and no taxi showed I phoned to see what was up. Apparently there was another person at the airport who needed a ride (with no reservation) but they took them. They apparently were not aware that I still needed a ride but since I called they were going to send another car. Well almost another 15 minutes later still no sign of their cab but luckily a K2 taxi pulled up and he had no reservation so he was able to give me a ride!! Thank god because who knows how long I would have waited in the cold for Sunshine taxi to actually show up!!! I get that mistakes happen but don't offer reservations if you aren't going to honor them. Next time I will save the hassle and book with K2 first. read more

Unreliable. We scheduled 24 hours ahead of time for trip to airport. After waiting 20 minutes we got car out of garage and drove. If you can't count on getting picked up at the scheduled time, this taxi is pointless. read more
