This "business" if that's what you want to call them are unprofessional. I called last week to ask if they can send someone to level my shed because I cannot access the inside due to it tilting and the door is jammed. I was told I'd receive a call on Saturday to confirm yes or no because they were "busy", ok, fine.... Saturday came and went no phone call at all. I called on Wednesday, left another message. no return call so Thursday I called again and had to leave another voicemail. surprise surprise NO CALL BACK. Now, here it is 1 week later, it's Saturday they close at 4 pm and I Can not get a hold of anyone again, I made more than 13 calls, left voicemails and of course still no return call. This is unacceptable. I called the Apopka location someone finally answered there I spoke with a guy and he called the guy in Orlando Michael Clayton where I got my shed from, and he picked right up. I was told to expect a call back on this coming Monday or Tuesday, but I won't hold my breath and i am seriously considering returning this shed and taking my business elsewhere. read more

.Waste of time (and money). Should have read more reviews before attempting to do business with this place. No customer service or follow-up. The only part of the transaction that was completed in a timely manner (other than processing down payment)was the cancellation of the contract. Mike at Sunshine Structures is not only a super nice guy, but he was incredibly helpful when it came to getting the right metal building for us, at a price we were comfortable with. If we're ever in need of another outbuilding, we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. read more

Mike is not professional and will take your money, then not finish you building. We paid in full in November, structure was up November 24th, but Mike forgot to have the ramp poured when the foundation was done, so he assured us he would send someone out to pour the ramp ASAP. It's now April 10th, over 4 MONTHS later, and there's still no ramp! Our original plans had a ramp, we paid for a ramp, Mike has repeatedly stated we will get a ramp, but our building still doesn't have a ramp. Building ramp is needed to be able to use the large access door. Multiple texts and calls go unanswered, sometimes for weeks, and when we do hear from Mike, it's just more empty promises of 'I'm working on it, the ramp will be done soon, I promise.' Then he disappears again. Gave him a deadline of April 9th to get the ramp done before the reviews went up and a BBB complaint was filed, and the ramp still wasn't completed. When informed that we were posting reviews and filing the complaint today as promised, Mike threatened us by claiming 'OK I'll call off the install scheduled for Tuesday.' This was the first he had ever mentioned a date for the ramp to be installed, after multiple attempts to resolve this, and could offer no proof that anything has actually been scheduled. I would like to leave a shining review, because we actually like the building, but I can't do that until we get what we paid for- a building with a ramp so we can actually use it. If the ramp gets done I will update this review and drop the BBB complaint. Otherwise, we will do the ramp ourselves on April 17th-18th, and pursue recovery of the cost from Sunshine Structures. Normally I do not write reviews, however, my experience with Michael Clayton and his team was shocking. I am a researcher so I do my due diligence prior to making purchases, after reading all the reviews I decided to check them out. On my initial visit, they were a little disorganized but I dismissed my gut feeling. After leaving the office I decided to make some changes to the shed, called two days straight with no response. Then Lily called me, to say she was driving and when she arrives to the office she would call back. Never received a call back. Since I was not able to get a hold of someone for two days I decided to make a trip to the office. On my second visit, I walked into the office and one of the employees had marijuana on her desk as well as other drug paraphernalia. Looked like she was ready to light up, she was just as SHOCKED as I was. To say that this made me uncomfortable is an understatement. Being that I am trusting their company to build the shed I purchased was unsettling. What you do on your personal time is your problem, however, not at a place you conduct business. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! At this point I was done with them, wrote Michael Clayton (owner) an email regarding the incident and that I wanted to cancel the purchase. He called the next day, apologizing for the incident and would still like my business. I expressed my concerns and that if he wanted to keep my business moving forward I only want to communicate with him. Some would say why give them another chance, I run a small local business and understand the struggle, I love to support small. Looked as if we were heading the right direction, until again no one was communicating with me. At one point, I had my boyfriend call maybe he could get through, finally Michael Clayton answered the phone but put him on hold and haven't heard back since. Side note: I expressed that this was my first time purchasing a shed, you would think they would be even more informative, like you may have to get a permit, etc... What an excellent experience we have had in obtaining a storage shed from Sunshine Structures. From the first phone call and Alex answered the phone to the placement of the shed on our concrete slab, it has been a joy. Alex was always at her phone when we called with questions, and readily had the knowledgeable answers for us. It was a delight working with her on this venture. We certainly appreciate the fact that everything was on schedule, organization is evident and the whole process is appreciated. Having only talked with her via the phone we know she is an asset to the business, one that the owners must know that they want to keep. We are already anticipating the purchase of another Sunshine Structure in the near future and we will definitely want to work with Alex again. If you are anticipating a purchase, contact Alex.
