My house is 3 stories, up to 3.5 the further you get down the canyon, and Morning Star handled it easily and did an excellent job cleaning each window. Reece has a rare sense of ownership for the windows he cleans, which leads to an attention to detail that leaves your house all the better for it. He showed us some UV filter films on our window I'd never notice and gave us some options for how to remove or clean them. He also pointed out some flaws with a screen door installed by a budget contractor and fixed the seal so the door opens now easier than before, all the while providing a professional cleaning. It's now a week since he came and cleaned and the views are still perfect. I'm impressed and we'll be calling Morning Star back in once it rains/time passes.

Here are the pluses and minuses of my experience. Pluses: * Rapid and courteous response to my initial request * Quick turnaround for an appointment * Quoted me a 2 hr arrival window, which they met. * Affordable service. * Patio is nice and clean and he cleaned splashes from the adjacent windows/ doors. Minuses: * I had told them about my pool right next to the patio, but Brooks didn't take any special attention to prevent some dirt and sand from entering the pool (e.g, putting down plastic film). Nor did they provide a method for cleaning it afterwards, which led to clogging the pump intake line, requiring a lot of effort on my part to clear. * On the patio itself, I needed to use a blower to remove residual stuff that the power wash didn't deal with. Ideally, they would have done that as part of the service. I would give them 3.5 stars if that was an option: I feel 3 is too harsh. 4 is probably a bit generous given what I needed to do afterwards. So, be wary if you have a pool nearby that they offer you a solution to prevent crap getting in it.

I texted back and forth with him about his price. He really wanted me to do all the work determining the price. It was all on me to send him pictures of my windows so he could come up with an estimate. This was a first for me. I did so, wondering all the while what the hell I was doing and why I was working so hard to do someone else's job. I feel kind of stupid now and won't ever do that again. But I sent him the pictures. Jon finally responded back -- Two days later -- and he wanted to come do the work the next day, which was funny since the weather forecast said it was GOING TO RAIN. Jon had no idea. Completely clueless and uncaring. You'd think he would at least try to respond and say 'Oh, yeah. I saw that. We have rain in the forecast. We definitely need to hold off.' But no. Shouldn't professional window cleaners be mindful of the weather and not try to take people's money to clean their windows if it's going to rain? I give people the benefit of the doubt, but a window washing service being this ignorant? Thankfully my regular window cleaning service -- who is so highly sought after and busy that I was foolishly calling around to find someone else -- called me back and we scheduled a time. When I requested a Tuesday they said 'Kent, you know it's going to rain next Tuesday, don't you? How about we try Thursday. Does that work for you?' Take it from me. Don't waste your time calling Horizon.
