I used FR Roofing service and unfortunately the repair didn't take care of the leak. They have…read morecome by twice to do further repairs and see if they can see what is going on. So far their response has been very good. Someone came out today, April 2nd, 2026 to do some further sealing and take a look in the attic. I will give an update once I have more information. It does seem like they honor their warranty. I'll keep you posted.

Daniel and Joseph were both very professional and responsive. They responded to our messages even thought we reached out past normal operating hours. The entire team is very experienced and efficient. Total roof only took about a week to fully complete. Daniel Sr went around the property throughout the day with a magnet to ensure that our pups would not be at risk of stepping on any nails, and the entire team was respectful of our property and kept things tidy throughout the job. Their bid was not the cheapest nor the most expensive bid we received, but ultimately it was fair and we do not regret our choice. If you have an older roof, I would budget an added 20%-30% on top of the initial bid price to leave room for any deck repairs and additional tile replacements that maybe needed. Overall, I was very pleased working with FR Roofing and would recommend them to friends and family.

Overall the team all seem to be doing their job and the execution is quick but the lack of customer communication is not up to par for a 50k project. It felt like I was the project manager all the time, following up on schedule, and then calling to verify. I had a feeling that the teams are split and everyone only does their job based on a scope and not as a team. Sometimes, I just want the truth on timing.... Bc Everytime I get a timing commitment, it's delayed and or no show and then also no updates. The project is still on-going with skirting, commissioning wasn't even done , painting of pipes/conduits... so will update accordingly. 8/6/26 : the team swiftly came the next day and finished painting and commissioning so I will add a star. 8/12/26: Just had a constructive discussion with Dayne and Savannah -- overall very positive. While my earlier frustrations were real, the conversation helped me better understand the complexities of the contractor side of the business. I also came away feeling that OC Solar genuinely puts care and attention into each project. The project isn't fully complete yet (inspections, skirting, and a few other items remain), but the overall execution moved at lightning speed and exceeded my own expectations. At the end of the day, it's the final result that counts so I will increase it to 5 stars.

Top notch service and quality from company. The salesperson, Dan, listened to what I wanted then…read morelisted options for me to choose from. Dan later answered additional questions I had then adjusted quote. The installer, Carlos, looked at the actual site conditions then discussed various options (like spacing of posts, how far to set posts from edge of patio cover, where to put downspouts, etc.) with me beforehand. Every day, Carlos would keep me updated as to the work being done. Their electrical, Mike, installed the lights, outlets and controller exactly where(& how) I wanted them. It was not some "cookie cutter" install off a pre-set plan. Things were installed the way my family & I wanted. Brittany in office kept me updated on permitting process, scheduling, inspection, etc. Initially had company install a pair of attached to house, solid (& insulated) patio covers (at kitchen & by living room). Family was so pleased with finished patio covers that we had Rooms come back and install a 24' x 13' standalone, solid, insulated patio covers outside bedrooms. Carlos made all 3 patio covers blend together. Mike wired all the lights (8 in the initial patio covers & 8 more in the standalone patio cover) so that all are controlled be a single dimmer switch. Needed to have some concrete work done under the patio covers and nearby. Rooms' recommended concrete people, James Austin Concrete, did excellent work and coordinated with Rooms for minimum disruption to patio installations. Initially called 6 companies (all local 4 star+ on yelp) for quotes. Rooms was 1 of 2 that was willing to go through the permitting process with the City. A 3rd wouldn't give me a quote because I wanted the patio covers to be permitted. The other 3 companies said that because the existing wood, open lattice patio covers had been permitted (in 1989), a new permit was not needed. Don't believe them. Big difference between open lattice wood patio covers and solid, Alumun patio cover. Plus requirements change over time. Turned out that the required dimensions for the posts' concrete footings almost doubled in size (in all 3 directions). Getting a permit means everything is built to meet City requirements. Only downside is long wait (13+ weeks) for City to approve each of the 2 permits. Several neighbors have already asked about Rooms. Even the city's building inspector asked for Rooms contact info. He wants a patio cover(s) for his place and was impressed by the work Rooms did for mine.

Kip, the installer, is a rock star! He did all the work by himself, and finished it in 3 days. A great guy to have work at your home. Can't recommend them enough.
