Vicky was awesome! She answered the phone on a Sunday and was able to book us on a last minute reservation! Such a beautiful area to paddle in and I look forward to coming back some day soon! Thanks Vicky!

I spent the morning with SUP Coronado today and it was an incredible time. I had such a good time I had to film it and make a video about it. My first time paddle boarding! Brent was a good teacher, patient and encouraging. I didn't even fall off the board once. Super laid back relaxing tour and what a beautiful place! The calm waters in the bay of Coranado is just amazing from scenic waterways to multi million dollar yachts. Go and see Brent for an unforgettable experience. This is the video I made about my experience there! https://youtu.be/7y2N92oU-tg

This was a highlight of our San Diego vacation! SUP Coronado answered quickly and professionally, suggested an early start which I would highly recommend. We started at Tidelands park in Coronado and boarded under the bridge and around the island to the Hotel Del side. Both Vicki and Brent offered important feedback and tips on how to improve our technique. They also helped with insight to the local area, and history. Very helpful with my 10 year old daughter and my 13 year old son. We can't wait to do it again!!

Super easy to organize and schedule through text. Vicki was really nice, on time, and brought our boards to the beach for us. Perfect location to paddle around. They are dog friendly boards!

Came here with my daughter and sister and had a great time had such a good experience came back the next day and she opened up on a day she wasn't going to work just so we could go out. I'd suggest her to anyone I know I really hope I get to go back and see her again.

I was finally ready to give SUP a try. SUP Coronado made it so easy to learn. They were so patient and friendly...being a beginner and all. They assigned the correct board for having no previous experience. They provided tips on holding the paddle correctly and stance on the board. My husband and I felt extremely comfortable, yes we started on our knees The weather was perfect, the water was calm and our guides were fantastic. A must if visiting San Diego and/or Coronado Island. The price is very reasonable. They are very accommodating on times and schedules too, which made it easy when vacationing. A great way to spend time in the water and get a little exercise too.

Vicki at SUP Coronado is super attentive, responsive, and kind. I started off with a paddle board lesson with her...she was very encouraging and fun. Great experience, so I went back the following week to rent a SUP and felt very confident paddling on my own, remembering everything she taught me. Highly recommend for a great experience!

We love coming here to paddle board. They're kind and polite and get you in the water quickly to do your thing. Thanks SUP Coronado.

I decided to be spontaneous and take my 3 nieces and my english bull dog to go paddle boarding. It was all of our first time trying SUP. Went to Coronado and looked on yelp and google to find a rental spot. Came by SUP Coronado and decided to call them to see where they are located. Vicki told us to meet her at the skate park near the bridge in 10 mins. She's very on time, friendly, and was very helpful! We all had an awesome time! Spent about 2.5 hrs in the water with a wonderful view of the coronado bridge and SD skyline. I can not wait to go back there next weekend with my Texas visitors.

Highly recommend whether you're a local or tourist!! they have group classes for kayaks (2 person…read moreor 1 person), surf lessons and snorkeling lessons. We did the 2 person kayak and originally booked through TripAdvisor but next time, we'll book directly through them after realizing they're a local company. It was around $100 for our 2 person kayak which seemed reasonable for a quick day date. Make sure you're 30 minutes before your booking time so you can check in and get supplies for your activity. For kayaking, it was a 90 min event and it's helpful to wear a swimsuit since you'll get wet and have a chance to swim. They took us through parts by the coast and we got to see lots of different fish and sea lions. Tip; make sure to bring water proof, floating bag for your phone since lockers can be $6 and I wish we would have brought our GoPro for the underwater views. The tour guides Thomas and Spencer were knowledgeable and helpful. We had a few guys who were in our tour that kept going overboard and the guides were patient with them even as the guys got a little annoying with their kayak intentionally tipping a few times. Overall, I'm really glad we went and will be back for other activities with friends and family.

I found out from a friend that I could book kayaks on ClassPass, so I jumped at the opportunity…read more I've been in San Diego for several years, but have not spent much time on the water. The reservation process was easy, and we signed a waiver prior to coming to the shop. The guys at the shop were super friendly and got us oriented to the water quickly. We had a 10:15 am reservation and they were not busy at that time. My only small gripe is that I wish their website had more information about what to wear to go kayaking. They had wetsuits for rent and waterproof pouches for sale, but my friend and I made do with what we wore, and we were ok. This may be very obvious to people who kayak, but for newcomers like me, you need to walk into the ocean to get into your kayak, so you will at minimum get wet from the waist down. You get your life jackets at the shop, then walk a block down to the ocean where there are more employees that get you set up with the kayak. The worker at the beach reinforced what the guys at the shop told us, pointing out lifeguards and landmarks in the water, before showing us how to paddle. Once we were ready, he dragged our kayak out into the surf and held it steady as we climbed in. With a strong shove, we were off! Our rental was for 1.5 hours and we had a really good time! Despite never kayaking before, we quickly figured out how to paddle and steer, and even as two girls with noodle arms, there was less resistance than expected. We thought we would end before our scheduled time was up, but we found ourselves floating and vibing till the last minute. It was really fun being rushed on shore by the waves, and I was sad to get off the kayak. I checked the price online if I were to rent from them directly, and it was about $45 for a double kayak. I wish they would just list their prices directly on their website, instead of requiring us to click in to the reservations page and seeing the price upon checkout. Maybe they do different pricing at different times. Still, I would definitely check for a Groupon or something, and do this activity again.

As far as parking, the lot where the business is is paid. (I think $12 for 1-2 hours). There is free parking across the street, though. When going through safety measures, they do show video footage of people dying in accidents, so bring a stomach. I'm used to Lake Havasu, so they essentially say don't hit anything. Otherwise, go have fun. However, in San Diego, there are a lot of laws and harbor police that will give you a HEFTY fine if you don't obey the copious laws. Once you're on the water, there are lots of other boats and lots of 5mph/no-wake zones. Driving around the military aircraft carriers is pretty cool. You don't have to fill up on gas before you bring the jetski back, and we only used about 3/10 bars for an hour and a half of driving. For how stickler-ey SDHP is, this company tells you where not to go or how not to get a fine or injure yourself or the boat. The price is pretty reasonable, so I might be using them again this summer.

They sell a good variety of clothing and accessories, and we decided to get some eyeglass leashes. After stowing our stuff in the free lockers, we met our group on the beach a short walk away. We were a group of 3 tandem kayaks, led by Ciro, a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. Kayaking along the coast and into some actual sea caves was exhilarating, as was wiping out on the way back in, which apparent is quite common.
