Dr. Vohra is the best. I tried her for the first time this week looking to find a local dentist now that I live in Marin. And boy I am lucky to have landed such a great dentist on my first try. Way better than the ones I was seeing in SF. The office is in a good location and feels warm and welcoming. The front office staff are friendly and professional; making you feel at ease from the moment you walk in the door. Dr. Vohra did a thorough first exam and addressed the immediate issues in my mouth such as fillings that needed replacing etc, as well as addressed issues that might be problematic in the future and what the game plan would be for those issues. I felt at ease when I came back for the dental work that needed to be done, knowing I was in good hands. Her hygienists were friendly and were there to help in my cleaning/treatment. I went to Dr. Vohra for two visits. The first was for a regular check up, and the second for three small fillings. The actual care was not bad. Not outstanding, but not bad. They were running late both times, but not significantly. I have Delta Dental insurance, and she was in network. When I came in for my fillings, Dr. Vohra's office gave me an estimate of the costs ($111.90) and had me sign a release. This was no problem. 60 days later, I get a bill in the mail for an additional $208. This means the total cost of my procedure was three times what they estimated. For someone who works with Delta Dental on the regular, they should've known the pricing, or at least been only a small percentage off. I called both insurance and Dr. Vohra's office, but there was a lot of finger pointing back and forth, but ultimately the prices submitted to Delta for my procedure were far higher than Delta accepts, and I'm stuck with paying the difference. Although requested, I did not receive the breakdown of where these charges were coming from, nor even a response from Dr. Vohra's office. I am mailing the payment tomorrow and never going back. At this point, I would like to clean my hands of any relations to them and move on. Despite the care being satisfactory, I do not recommend Dr. Vohra's practice to anyone due to the billing headaches. read more

1. Your teeth are important. Dr. Vohra's skills keep them looking tip top. I have four big chips in my front teeth from my lip pierced, barbell-flaunting 20s, which I have had other dentists cap previously and which invariably broke out 5-10 days later. Doctor Vohra not only capped them with enamel to match my teeth PERFECTLY but did so to last - they have been in for over 6 months now, are strong as ever, and are undifferentiable from my natural teeth. 2. Laughter is good. Vohra's office staff are each stand-up comedians, I swear it; every time I go I come out many belly laughs later, smiling despite myself (and not just because my teeth are so fresh and so clean clean). 3. Yesterday, I had my teeth cleaned after an unusual hiatus, creating quite a challenge for the hygienist, Lorna--especially given the Covid protocols which already make her job more difficult right now. Lorna was absolutely wonderful at her job and a pleasure to work with. She explained everything thoroughly, was very efficient, and even figured out that I could return in two weeks to fully complete the cleaning and still have it covered by my insurance. Suparna has created a lovely practice. Her office is beaming with kind, caring women who make a trip to the dentist something to look forward to (if one could believe that). She is an absolutely gorgeous person inside and out. But, don't take this from me, the real testimony is from my three-year-old son who leaves smiling; always with a toy or a balloon chicken made from a rubber glove. 3/16/2011 I'm so happy I've found a dentist that I really like. And, I mean, it's kind of hard to like the dentist - isn't it? Not Dr. Pieraccini. I've been there a few times for cleanings and assessments, but yesterday was the first time I had to get a procedure done. I was terrified.. He warned me I might end up needing a crown or a root canal (GASP!). I was literally on the verge of an anxiety attack - sweating, pulse racing, the whole bit. But he was great and was super calming. He broke the news that a filling would suffice (hooray!!!) and worked really efficiently. Good stuff. I also love their office manager and the fact that they text you your appointment. I had my teeth cleaned yesterday at Dr. Vohra's and felt very safe and comfortable with all the new precautions. I am always leery of new hygienists but Lorna did a great job with no pain at all. I've been going to Dr. Vohra for over 5 years and never been disappointed. The dental work is top quality. Among other regular dental work, I've had some demanding issues with my TMJ and with clenching that aggravated headaches and migraines that I had. She fixed it with an extremely comfortable night time guard. Thank you, Dr. Vohra! The office staff are very nice, very professional and really on top of things. They're all very friendly and make you feel welcome. I had a great visit with Dr. Vohra. She is very smart, approachable, and engaging, and as I was a new patient she took time to explain her practice philosophy and even did my first cleaning herself in order to fully understand my dental situation. Also, the office is clean and lovely, the staff was very nice, and I didn't have to wait at all. Overall I had a very comfortable and relaxed dental visit. Her hours are the biggest draw back at this place. If you have a full time job and actually work and support yourself (unlike some people in Marin) you will have to take a day off to see her. The dentist is pretty good overall, but not the best I had. Her billing person is very aggressive. She fulfills her job to get as much money out of people as she can. I really think she is more of a sales person and uses sales in the sense of using fear to get people to take care of there teeth. I also had a bill that my flex account didn't fully pay. I paid it with no issues, but she never told me it was denied or give me a reason. Since she knew I would pay she felt there was no reason to go the extra mile and I would have not gotten mad at her (not her fault). Really lack of personal touch. After I paid the bill, she put sending me the receipt as last priority on her list. She never sent it and then when I called again she finally sent it, but weeks later. She really is a billing/sales machine. I miss the old guy who did all the billing he had a great personality. I think when it comes to a dental place you have to find the best mix between business and personal touch. Summary: I would use her for cleanings and simple stuff, but nothing complicated as I rather pay out of pocket more for another dentist not contracted under my plan. Dr. Vohra is an amazing dentist. She filled a very deep cavity on my 5 year old son and he did not even know it! He had to have an injection which he never saw or felt. At the end of his filling he was smiling and laughing and gave her a big hug (and he is very shy)! It does not get better than that. I have never written a review on yelp, but feel so impressed by Dr. Vohra's warm charm, exceptional ability as a dentist and the over all positive feeling in the office, that I simply had to write. In today's fast-paced society, it is so refreshing to have a doctor that is caring, takes the time, and has patience. Dr. Vohra is one such doctor. She is knowledgeable, greets you with warmth and a smile, and takes the time to make you feel comfortable. I even got a hug and a little facial massage. I don't like dentists but I do like Dr. P and his team. I signed up when I was a Sausalito resident and it's a pleasure to still be a patient at this friendly and 'low pressure' practice. It's rare to find a dentist that works diligently on a long term plan with his team rather than tactically profiteering. On my first visit he was very thorough and very honest about treatment plan and it's been plain sailing ever since. Cara, who runs all the admin, is extremely friendly and always available on the phone. She really helped me work out my slippery insurance cover and also recommended a better provider for me. Parking is very easy. Who would have thought a visit to the dentist could be such a lovely excuse to swing through Sausalito? read more

Her gentle hand (oh, did I just get my teeth worked on?) and personable manner make every visit a fun and educational experience. The office is relaxed, comfortable, and nestled in downtown Sausalito so it's also a ferry commute for me. I love ferry rides. If there was a category for dental care spas this would be it. Every time I enter the office the staff is friendly, welcoming, and efficient. You'll even get a SMS text confirmation reminder about your visit with reply protocol - couldn't be simpler! Anyone who's had prior dental PTSD will change their mind after visiting this office. I give my highest recommendation to Dr. Vohra. Both my husband and I are very happy to have found her after she took over the practice from a retired dentist in Sausalito. We have had crowns, bridges, fillings, you name it. Also, the dental hygienists in her office are the top of the line. I used to schedule my dental work during my visits to Germany, as my experiences with US dentists over the past 40 years were mixed. Dr. Vohra, is in my opinion , one of the best general dentists in Northern Calif. Her up beat personality along with her knowledge of dentistry makes her number one in my book to have all my dental needs taken care of by her and her well trained staff. What is most impressive, is that she truly takes the time to explain all the facets of treatment she has planned for my mouth. After a full set of x-rays, taken digitally, she spends a lengthy time doing a full mouth evaluation, including the health of my gums as well as my teeth. I've never had a more through evaluation of my oral health in any other dental office. I have had 4 implant crowns and 3 regular crowns placed by her, since I started coming to her office. She will go out of her way to satisfy every expectation I have for the perfect results that I have been looking for. She will not place any restoration or crown unless it meets her expectations and mine. That kind of trust is hard to come by!
