She replied that they would not be able to provide an estimate unless I made an appointment with them first. Second, I have one tooth bridge, but I received a bill charging me for three teeth. I emailed them about the mistake, and they eventually corrected it. The third issue was that the back of my bridge had several sharp edges that were cutting my tongue. Dr. Yee adjusted it once for me, but I could still feel the sharp edges afterward. It was seriously affecting my daily life, so I went back a second time. During that visit, I felt that Dr. Yee was unhappy about having to fix it again and did not pay attention to the issue. He kept shaking his head and told me not to use my tongue to touch the sharp edge. When I accidentally closed my mouth, Dr. Yee said, "I told you not to close your mouth. Some people just never listen. When I say turn your head right, they turn left. When I say turn left, they turn right." Throughout the entire visit, he seemed impatient. Although he did another quick adjustment, the problem was still not fully resolved. At that time. I felt like I was being traded like a idiot. I truly believed those sharp edges were fixable, so I mentioned the issue to Dr. Seda, who was performing my implant procedure. He immediately saw the problem and went the extra mile to smooth out the sharp edges for me. It took him less than a minute to adjust it, and the issue was completely solved. After my experience, I will never go back to Dr. Yee's clinic again.

This treatment plan was supposed to be presented to me before he conducted the work to show I would agree to his work. I was conned. Reported to the insurance grievance, Dental Board of CA, BBB, etc, but these ended in vain. I would not recommend this dentist.

This review pertains to the office experience yesterday, not the abilities of the hygienist or dentist. I am seeking a local dentist in Marin County. Last week I received the most recent of many mailers for Kantor dental group, then called to make an appointment for a cleaning only. I discussed times and specifics for the appointment. I booked for 8 AM Sat. and was told the cleaning was 45 minutes. Yesterday I arrived on time and found no one was at the front desk. Waited for a few minutes. Had to call out and eventually a lady who came out, did not greet me or welcome me and said that the office staff had not arrived! (In our phone call a day before, I had clearly stated to Bridget, the nice office manager ahead of time that I was only booking the cleaning, -- no exam and that I was willing to pay with a check to receive they offered cleaning discount for $177.). On the phone she tried to upsell me a plan that I was not interested in and declined. After being directed to the room, I waited for hygienist who didn't come. Then a nice dentist Dr. Gutierrez came out and said he was there to examine me, and I said I had clearly stated no exam today I can only afford the cleaning. I then asked how much the exam! I reiterated that I was not yet booking an exam. The dentist said he didn't know how much it was went away and came back and said it would be $89 for 15 minutes. He asked if I had any recent x-rays and I said I do but will obtain them before booking. an exam l. I then waited for the hygienist who still didn't come. It is now over 30 minutes after my appointment. I got up and went to the front desk and inform the receptionist that it was too late to continue to wait for a hygienist when my appointment was at 8 AM, which was intentionally scheduled due to other obligations. I also asked her why the dentist came in when I had already discussed that I was only there for the cleaning. She looked in her computer at notes and said that the exam would be free. I said I wasn't informed of that but now it's 8:40 and I'm going to have to leave. The hygienist was busy working with another patient so apparently they double booked my appointment time. The sad thing about this whole thing was I was really looking for to try out a new local dentist. But the disorganization and bad first impression maybe question whether I should go back to this practice.

Chris, who scheduled our appointments over the phone, was a complete doll. Not only is he friendly and kind, he's extremely organized and professional. My daughter and I had exams and cleanings today and both Chris (who also happens to be a dental assistant) and Dr. Ana were as nice and accommodating in person as Chris was over the phone. Both were extremely interested in our comfort which was so nice. Chris was efficient and just chatty enough. Dr. Ana clearly knows her craft and enjoys educating the patient along the way. I'm not new to dentistry (lucky for them) but I still came away with new information. I'd never had an oral cancer screening before. Dr. Ana was extremely thorough. I just think that is efficient on their part and my appointments ALWAYS started on time (maybe because of that very policy you were so upset by). Be on time people. Consideration makes the world go round. We live in the bay, there is traffic, account for it.
