These are the bed bugs. Stay away.

BED BUGS!!!! March 13, 2017. Room 112 Was bitten and when I turned on the lights I found three bed bugs. I killed one and got blood on my sheets. Gross! Packed my bags and had to awaken the manager who didn't want to give me a refund. Finally after arguing he refunded me. Horrible. Beware, and stay away.

This hotel should not be recommended to anyone! When we arrived, we were supposed to have a king bed and after about 20 minutes at the front desk the clerk gave us a key to a room that someone was already in. Needless to say he put us in another room with two queens. The ceiling in the bathroom had been horribly patched after a water leak. At sometime, a child drew on the walls in the room we were in because it was still on the walls. The hotel states that it's non smoking but smelled of smoke everyday. The breakfast was really non existent. We asked for more coffee to be made at 9:00 and was told that breakfast was over which I guess meant no more coffee because he didn't make anymore. The customer service was the absolute worst I have ever experienced at any hotel that I've ever been to. This hotel should not be allowed to be on any reputable travel site.

Nightmare in Belleville! I would subtract 5 stars! !Do not stay here! I started this yelp acct just to be able to note my disgust!!! So disappointed, a booking through hotels.com said this was a 3 star hotel and I wouldn't give it 1. The lobby is tiny and there were ppl that looked crazy or homeless hanging out. Turns out one of those ppl worked behind the desk somewhere and was walking around behind the counter when not slumped over in the lobby chair. Stinks, the hall and lobby smelled, then we came to the non smoking room that smelled like smoke. Do not let the fitted sheet come off of the mattress because the stains are disgusting! !Our room heater stopped working on the 1st night. Our room microwave never worked. When we Asked for another pillow, because they had 3 small pillows spread across a king size bed, they became suspicious that we might have an extra guest hiding somewhere. There were stains on the bed cover and carpet. We ended up using the bedcover as a rug so we didn't have to walk with our bare feet or socks on the gross floor. Only 2 exits to use, both right in the front just in case you try to sneak someone in. We stuck it out 2 nights but booked a new hotel for our Lastnight even if we had to pay again! ! Don't walk outside alone. .there were some shady characters walking around!

The shower curtain rod was installed incorrectly - meaning the water splashes all over the floor while you are showering.

We were greeted immediately and the man working offered to upgrade me to a suite, which was really kind. I chose to keep my original room since I needed a king size bed. The room was clean and bright. The bed is super soft, which is fine for me but not for my husband. I love the 24 hour coffee tea and hot chocolate. The pool was nice. There is no hot tub. You must be 18 to go to the fitness room now. My minor son was bummed as he likes to walk on the treadmill next to me. We like the waffles at breakfast and the oatmeal bar. The juices are tasty too too. The other entrees change from day to day. I enjoyed the quiche yesterday but didnt try the biscuits and gravy today.

I honestly have no idea where these positive reviews are coming from because they do not match reality at all. Not one surface in our room appeared to be clean. There was poop on the side of the tub and a used condom in the drain. No soap in the room there was a random bottle of lotion next to the sink but that was it. Everything was just dusty and dirty. I had to wear shoes in the room because there was so much grit on the floor. The sheets were stained, dirty, and so worn out they were practically see through. The couch was filthy too. The room looked like nobody had cared about it in years. Lamps were sitting in random places and several of them didn't even work. Honestly, it looked like they had moved a long term resident out for the night and put us in the room. The rest of the hotel wasn't any better. At 10 p.m., the breakfast area still had old batter and syrup all over the counters, and the carpets were covered in crumbs and trash and clearly hadn't been vacuumed in ages. The atmosphere of the property felt extremely sketchy, with what appeared to be long term residents and constant foot traffic at all hours. Seriously, save yourself the money, frustration, and possible health risk. Stay literally anywhere else.

Their staff did an admirable job in dealing with a sudden emergency. We were sitting around a big table in their Dearborn Conference Room on Friday when around 6:30pm the area was hit with a power outage. Somewhere between 80,000 and 100,000 customers lost power, including the hotel. Whatever happened also affected the hotel generator, because that was knocked out too. No heat, no hot water, no electricity, no internet. The hotel staff did what they could and set up emergency contractor lights in the lobby area and dining area. I'm not sure how, but they were able to serve the traditional Embassy Suites hot breakfast the next morning. My visit got off to a great start, with a big suite room and an excellent check-in experience. Some of our party arrived early and we enjoyed their complimentary Happy Hour drinks and snacks. Their staff was wonderful -especially the food service workers who set up that hot breakfast in dim lighting. One of the guys made me laugh when he said eating breakfast in the cold and dark reminded him of being back in the service!

She informed me of hotel amenities and their hours of operation then directed me to my room. Room was fine, albeit a tad worn. I had a burger in the bar which was very good. Bartender was friendly and efficient. There was a loud, obnoxious woman at the bar who I was able to avoid until I spoke with a man at the bar. Evidently, she was a regular customer. She directed a comment toward me that was factually incorrect and when I attempted to explain to her why, she exploded and started screaming at me. I stepped away, gathered my stuff and waited for my check at the end of the bar farthest from her. She continued screaming at me from across the bar, raving loudly that she would pray for me--which I found particularly bizarre and rather scary. I asked her repeatedly to stop shouting at me. While waiting I had a polite conversation with a man at the end of the bar that I had purposefully placed between she and me. The bartender returned and she finally got her to stop screaming. I paid and left. In the morning at checkout I told the front desk person about my very negative and frightening experience. She apologized and said that they expect people not to "talk politics". I pointed out to her that Fox News was playing on every TV in the lobby and bar and she apologized again. I took the shuttle to the airport. Driver was nice and professional and even tried to help me obtain a cart. Despite other positive aspects of the hotel, I will not be returning to a place that allows crazy people to drink to oblivion then verbally attack other guests.

There is a laundry (one washer and dryer) but if you time it right, it's enough. The pool is nice, many young families used it in the time I was there, as did I once. The gym has the basics, dumbbells and a treadmill. My only issue is that the Peloton bike does not connect to the internet and they are unable to fix it they tell me, so it's as if it doesn't really exist. Part of me choosing them was that Peloton bike that ended up not working. There is daily breakfast which is above average, and 24 hour coffee and tea available; along with a small market and the occasional free cookies by the front desk. Parking isn't an issue, it's well placed, close to the highway, and there is an Italian restaurant within walking distance. I plan on staying there again the next time I'm in town.

It's your first time, in the Great Lakes State and it's been nothing but the trip from hell and you have Hampton Inn & Suites Detroit-Canton to thank for that. This entire experience was like an onion -- you peel off one layer and there's an even smellier one just waiting for you. My mom made reservations in advance before the trip. From the moment she checked in I knew this would dictate the entirety of our stay. She paid for the rooms IN ADVANCE yet when she came to check in (reservation included and all) the staff said her card was declined. Despite the fact we had proof the rooms were paid for. After the rude staff tried to gaslight my mother into saying otherwise we got into the rooms. Unfortunately what I've seen on this trip I had to do a "tourist beware" as there's two security concerns that caused me uneasiness that I feel I need to sleep with one eye open. 1. The scanner to enter my room (pictured below) was damaged as if someone has previously tried to break-in/ and or tried to hack this room to unlawfully break in. I don't need to tell you why that's concerning in an age of sophisticated cybersecurity and cyber attacks. 2. The room next door was reserved for my family and you are able to come in and out of the room WITHOUT A KEY CARD. Seriously, you can push the door open and it'll open. Even when you hear the door shut, the door is unlocked and you only can lock the door with the physical lock. But what good is that if someone is traveling solo and they leave the room? We tried raising this concern to the staff but they refused to give us another room even though we gave them video proof that this door is not secure and anyone can come in and out. There was also an incident with one of the beds having hair and being dirty. Naturally we weren't sleeping in it so we requested new sheets. Yet the staff refused to come upstairs and change the sheets so we had to do this ourselves. Mind you, we just drove 7.5 hours and got in past 11:30pm EST. We also kept hearing running up and down the hall on both our floor and upstairs at all hours of the day. And the room next door has customers staying in that were talking so loud (it sounded like a domestic disturbance). Every time we tried to call the front desk no one was picking up the phone. But I guess it wouldn't matter considering they couldn't be bothered to even address the aformentied security issues we have pointed out and documented. I can't even tell you how nice the rooms are because ik so worried about not being assaulted in my stay that everything else is the least of my concerns. Not to mention staff here are inattentive and extremely disrespectful. I certainly will not be staying here again next time I'm in the area. If you value your safety, I would not recommend you stay here either.
