We were greeted immediately and the man working offered to upgrade me to a suite, which was really kind. I chose to keep my original room since I needed a king size bed. The room was clean and bright. The bed is super soft, which is fine for me but not for my husband. I love the 24 hour coffee tea and hot chocolate. The pool was nice. There is no hot tub. You must be 18 to go to the fitness room now. My minor son was bummed as he likes to walk on the treadmill next to me. We like the waffles at breakfast and the oatmeal bar. The juices are tasty too too. The other entrees change from day to day. I enjoyed the quiche yesterday but didnt try the biscuits and gravy today.

We were kindly seated even though our reservation did not appear on Terrance Room computer system. We were told that the system was not downloading the information. The waitress was very pleasant and attended to us very promptly. The food array was great with many options including an omelet station. There was a sign by the buffet stating $25.00 a plate. The shock came when we received the bill with a total of $348.00 broken down with these prices: * 4 Easter Brunch 256.00 (64.00/per person) * Brunch Bloody Mary $10.00 * Brunch Mimosa $10.00 * SERVICE CHARGE $52.44 * Tax $19.71. * TOTAL 348.15 Stunned we contacted the waitress, who then asked the manager to talk to us. We explained the situation regarding the posted sign on the buffet table at $25.00 per meal and we were not aware of the Easter Brunch cost of $64.00. After some discussion he was willing to give us a 20% discount. Not being satisfied, we asked to talk to his manager whom he called and returned stating that the F & B manager (Jordan Hoffman) increased the percentage off to 30%, so the total bill was $260.00. Listed below are some of the reasons why the price that was posted was not honored according to the day manager. 1.) The sign was a mistakenly positioned. Someone forgot to remove it. 2.) We should have received an email for the confirmation with the intended price of the meal. BUT........................ a. We did not get the email until we finished our brunch. b. After reading the email, the price was not included in the narrative of the notification. 3.) The price is on the website of the Marriot at Eagle Crest BUT............................ a. Stopping at the restaurant was a "off the cuff" decision. The price of the brunch was not easily visible. b. No indication of the price near the hostess station. c. No idea that the venue would add a service charge! I am very disappointed and feel "ripped off." The experience put a damper on the Easter morning with family. I would not recommend this venue at all................... Very rigid with a lack of empathy!

For $100 cash he said he could get us a room. We were booked for a room for $125, clearly they are avoiding the 3rd party commission/fees. We did not have cash but we did have the CC we used to make the reservation. He would not accept that form of payment and advised us that we could walk across the road to use an atm to get the cash. The lobby and grounds are not maintained. The desk was not staffed, there was a note to call a number which we did 3x but no answer. All hotels were sold out because of a U of M football game. Rather than deal with this place we drove and found another hotel, which is what I recommend you do. Book with another reputable hotel. Traveling is tiring enough, this experience was exhausting. Don't waste or risk your time by booking at this location.

The clerk assured me that my room would be clean and comfortable. After driving in from the Detroit suburbs, I checked in and Cheryl accompanied me to my room. As promised, the hotel was well maintained both outside and in, and the room was as she described. Another plus is that my car is only 30 feet from my room. This hotel is not the Taj Mahal and it's not in a prosperous area but the people who run it take pride in what they provide and it shows. The staff were very kind and made an extra effort to make my stay a pleasant one. For this reason, I am giving Harmony House a five star rating.

It's less than half a mile from the downtown district which is a beautiful place to go visit, or just walk down to the river. I'm taking advantage of the weekly rates, so far we've been here for 3 weeks are planning on staying longer.
