These reviews below. You'd think Yelp was reviewing a Hyatt Regency! It's just a really relaxing Super 8, with tons of rooms available. Easy, light breakfast. Coffee. Don't like a room? Switch. Stay outside boston room-to-room with farting handymen. Our TV was great! Lot out front gets noisy due to traffic. You can stretch your legs walking down the sidewalk. It's safe to stay, well lit and staff was at the front desk our entire stay through. Beds were fine for 1 night. Also, extra time in mornings is very courteously extended if need be - just ask. I really hoped this place would be at least adequate for a night and was sorely disappointed. We had a room facing route 59 and with no filmy curtains we had to choose zero privacy or black out darkness. I asked to change rooms and was told my type of reservation had no choice. We had foot noise that included running from the room and/or hallway above well past 1am and it was significant so that we had little sleep. Walls like paper! Last but not least, it was cold at night and when we turned on the heat a horrible smell came out. We had to open the window and door to air it out and get an extra blanket as a remedy. The person on duty was minimally helpful. Honestly this is the worst motel I have stayed in over the past 5 years I have been traveling extensively. And it was expensive!!! read more

I'm only giving this 3 stars because it is a super 8 and that needs to be taken into account with my review. Not somewhere I would ever stay, but I was visiting sleepy hollow for the night and refused to spend $350 for a hotel. This was listed on their website as lodging in the area. Very reasonably priced in comparison to the others in the area. For starters, which has nothing to do with the hotel, this is NEAR sleepy hollow/tarrytown but I spent an extra $15 having to go back and forth over the bridge. This was fine for a night as a quick stay but I wouldn't recommend it any longer than that. Clean enough, I suppose, but the bed was hard, tv was old and the room was small and the area left little to be desired. Internet was suppose to be free but none of the networks would connect. Walls were extremely thin and you could hear the noise from adjacent rooms throughout the night. read more

I was in an upper level room, nonsmoking, but it was right next to smoking rooms. The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke, strongly so, enough to trigger a near asthma attack. I don't recall smelling smoke in the room, but being exposed to smoke is a major concern for me. Just walking through the hallway to carry out my bags was enough to make me feel ill. Our main reason for being in Nyack is that it was a good stopping off point on the way to northern New England. Nyack also has at least three restaurants known for vegan options. It appears that other Super 8s in the area allow smoking in some rooms as well. That is a concern because smoke can seep under doors, out into hallways, all over, and that can be a major health threat to someone who is severely allergic. The bed was comfortable enough, but the smoking is of great concern. We have stayed at this hotel several times and the smoke in the hallways has been a concern before. read more

Was in the room for No smokers ... It smells like somebody smoked there for ten years. Noise from the highway won't let you sleep if you stopped in the front side of the building. No roaches bed bugs no rats. The rooms are ok clean. But If I would have some additional time I would look up for another place read more

Enroute from upstate back into city, got a cheap rate here on HOTELS.COM Rated 3.5 out of 137 ratings there. $78/night including tax. Rated 4 stars out of 120 reviews on Tripadvisor.com FREE WIFI. Room was decently sized, clean. Receptionist was nice. 5 minute drive to the Palisades Center. Dined at the Buffalo Wild Wings since they opened late. Walking distance to a marketplace where you can get snacks. read more

Worst motel I've ever stayed in. Poor customer service. The worker at the front desk registration was not wearing a name badge. Our bathroom sink was clogged. Our tv was a dinosaur and the remote did not work. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Will never stay in Nyack again! read more

Clean, great location, excellent for the price. Staff was very accommodating. Slight mix up during check-in, but the matter was quickly resolved. Because of the mix-up, a refund was calculated and graciously extended by Mr. David Hickey (Manager). I definitely recommend this place and hope that Mr. Hickey is available to assist. read more

Liars! Upon checking in one day I was informed by a representative that this hotel offered a rewards program. Once I register online I read that they were also running a stay two night Get one free promotion. Too good to be true is what I thought and too good to be true was what I got! No when I registed, I was given 1000 points. After staying my second night after , a week later I saw no points added to my account. I figured since the promotion stated that it was two night for one maybe the points would be added after the second night was completed. A few weeks later I returned to the same hotel for what was now my third stay . After a week had gone by I realized that I wasn't going to get my points. I emailed customer service and was sent a reply days later stating that I had the points on a duplicate account . I was told to confirm my pervious phone number and address which I did. I was then sent a reply days later informing me that I had confirmed the information and that the duplicate account would be closed and any point accumulated would be transferred over to the intended account. Moments later I received another email stating that my points wouldn't be applied because I booked the room with a booking agency instead of with super 8 themselves! Where did it say this? This company is pathetic! A clear ripe off on a hotel that is already a ripe off to begin with! Would have never returned if not for the promotion! On my second stay I walked into a room that smelled like someone had been smoking in it just before I walked in it! I'd also like to add that while the female behind the desk is friendly, she clearly had no knowledge of how the program was ran and should have never referenced me to it to begin with if I didn't qualify!! There's also a man who worked that who is completely unprofessional! When trying to clear of a reservation issue with him on my third stay he flat out walked away from me stating he didn't know! Disgusting! Just like their damn hotel!! I wouldn't give a single star to this stuffy dungeon if I didn't have to! Sleep in your car if this is the only place vacant, it's simply not worth it! read more

WORST HOTEL EVER! If you choose NONSMOKING, the rooms are right next to each other so it smells like cigarettes in the room. I stepped in, stepped out and told them I am allergic and disgusted with the smoke smell and they would only give me a half reimbursement. I was only there for one minute!! I was looking for an inexpensive hotel as I had to teach a class in Ossining. This was quite closeby and reasonably priced. When I got to the hotel parking lot, didn't really like the vibe very much, didn't feel super safe. Got to my room and the hall smelled like cigarettes. My room was fine, clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice. The carpeting was old and gave me allergies unfortunately. The walls are really thin and it was very noisy around me, in the room next door, in the hallway and outside my window. There were menus on the desk in my room for some good restaurants and got Thai take-out, delivered right to my room.Wasn't bad for 1 night. read more

The friendly and helpful staff rock it and is the reason my two-night stay at this property got 4 stars. Joe, the front desk manager, was super helpful, as was their maintenance man. They both went out of their way to help us in different ways. Price was reasonable, breakfast bar was adequate. Renovations are apparently occurring soon, so the updated property will be even nicer. Wi-Fi wasn't overly reliable. The neighborhood originally seemed a little sketchy, but it proved to be pretty nice. I would stay here again. read more

I have absolutely no complaints! Quiet clean friendly staff. Bed was really comfortable shower nice and hot easy parking mc Donald's across the street as well as a gas station easy highway access and 3 min to the palisades mall! Very close to westchester county. This is not some fancy updated motel but when your tired from a long dive and need a place to shower rest and eat at a very low price his is a quality choice better than the best Western across the street I would stay here again for sure read more

Room is suppose to be non smoking but it reeks of cigarettes. Worse than the cigarettes is the smell of mildew and wet feet while entering the room, and stains all over the chair. husband is going to try and get his money back because there is now way we will stay here , better off sleeping in the car read more

This is a awesome hotel. Customer service was excellent. It was a breeze checking in and all my needs were met with a smile. The room was very spacious. I had a king bed room and the bed was huge not compared to other hotels! My car ran out of gas and the manager David was super helpful and a blessing. About a year ago a bad blizzard left many travelers stranded and seeking accommodations as roads grew hazardous. Every hotel in the area was booked solid--the Army football home game only exacerbated the problem. As I navigated the treacherous roads at about 5mph, my parents back in Boston scoured the internet for available rooms. Finally, they located a vacancy at this motel. They booked the room online and called me with directions. Having taken up shelter at a Red Lobster, I decided to confirm the booking before getting back on the icy highway. I was immediately yelled at by the owners for no reason and told they had no vacancy or record of my reservation. They hung up on me twice while I tried reading them the confirmation number from the booking. Deciding it wasn't worth it, I accepted the Fairfield Inn's kind offer to spend the night in their lobby where there was heat. Other than the unnecessary rudeness from the Super 8 owners, I wasn't all that upset until I later realized I had been charged for the booking. Repeated calls yielded nothing as the owners refused to hear me out, hanging up after screaming at me each time. Eventually, my credit card company refunded me the money writing off the expense, but it was a ridiculous hassle and I'm bothered that the motel owners wrongly (and so rudely) pocketed the room charge. I was back in the area this past weekend and reminded of the whole unpleasant experience and decided to sign up on Yelp to share. Avoid this motel! read more
