I should not have stayed here but hey, this is how I know and that is why I am writing this review. It was late, I drove for 7 hours, so I just dealt with it as best as possible so I can get the heck out of there the next morning. I only booked here because everywhere else was booked. The place is sketchy with guys hanging out outside their rooms when I got there. Not going into details of their appearances, so it is not profiling but they were just hanging out by their rooms and were just STARING at me when I was unloading my car. Made me feel very uneasy. I know this is not within the motel's control but it was not a good feeling for me. The room seems okay but when we settled in, I noticed how the sheets were not changed as there were hair on the sheets! I ended up sleeping on top of the sheets and praying I wouldn't get bedbugs. They were probably renovating the room cuz the sink seems new and when I went to take a shower, the whole shower knob just came loose! Looks like someone didn't install that completely then cuz it just came out as I was turning the knob. Not only that, the hardware seems to be missing something cuz there was no way to pull anything to get the shower head to have water from the spout below. On top of that, the hot and cold were on the opposite side and not much of the hot water was coming out so I ended up taking a semi cold shower. The towels were thin and smells musty. The curtains were stained with caulk and I found a piece of french fry on the floor by the bed. I mentioned all of this when I checked out but not sure if they cared to make any changes. Anyhow, do not stay here. Not recommended. It was the worse Super 8 I have ever stayed at. read more

The had stains brown and orange. The carpet was disgusting(crumbs and spiderwebs in the corners). I've been broken down in this town for 20 days. If it wasn't for the super 8, and they're overly nice demeanor offer me food or anything within reason, I guess they what they can help with just to let them know. Demolition is the only thing that will help this place. We should have ran when we walked into the office! Even my car gps tried to direct us away from there. The smell was awful! I cried the second we walked into the first room! Disgusting!!! I can't even find the words.Who cares about being outdated... from stains on the sheets, the slanted broken mattress, painted tub, meth smells, the whole room was leaning. Contacted booking site and had them talk to management trying to get out of there. They changed our rooms, with less meth smell and better bed. Toilet sounded like a plane winding up but did flush. Bathroom came with complimentary pubic hair and some unidentifiable Chewbacca fur. I did search for bedbugs and thankfully I found none. I refused to shower or use the sink. I'd rather shower at the truck stop. If I was a hooker I wouldn't even take my trick there! This place needs to be demolished. Wyndham should be ashamed. Will never trust them again. read more

Hotel has gone downhill the last 7 years. Door locks don't work well. Had to get new keys multiple times and owner had to unlock our door twice because of how bad they were. 9pm checkin after a long day of driving. First room was disgusting. Dirt. Bed stains. Dead bugs. Live bugs. Spider webs and i kid you not... a huge black widow under the desk. Immediate chills. Changed rooms to the second floor... exhausted after packing up and moving. Still dirty. Pubes or other hair on faucet. Bed stains again- used personal blankets and pillows. Toilet doesn't flush fully. Several outlets and lights don't work. And once again dead and live bugs. Convinced my other half to tough it out as we had to be up in 5 hours to hit the road again. 2 hours of sleep maybe. Neighbors slamming doors and yelling. Even knocks on our door. We felt so uncomfortable. Several questionable folk walking by while taking dog out to the bathroom. Walked by all of the cars with their flashlights and was cat called and approached near my room door. Will push for a refund... but i don't have much hope as the front desk worker was dismissive abt safety issues. Sanitation issues. Would've slept in the car, had it not been packed full and sketchy people on the property. Advice- PAY THE EXTRA MONEY FOR A REPUTABLE AND CLEAN HOTEL WITH SECURITY CAMERAS. The staff is nice. Do you have a good amount of parking. Are you paid $75 for four people please an additional $10 for our pet. The room was nice and warm when we got to it. The room was clean and did not smell bad at all. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We were standing in 2 inches of water in the small shower. The terrifying red hair ball was floating around. I was able to do a jimmy super fly Snuka on it and get it out of there. The epic battle could've gone either way. Don't come here for the coffee and breakfast you'll be disappointed. The hotel has some structural issues. I don't think that they have a maintenance person and they try to do the repairs themselves. read more

The room was nice and spacious. Just 5 channels on the TV. Not even the networks were available. Very run-down looking. Breakast was not acceptable. Like another reviewer mentioned, the waffle batter tasted spoiled. At least they had bread and a toaster. No ice machine except a small home model in the office. Not a safe option in a "dying" town. PROS: very nice staff, pool wasn't bad, free breakfast with cereal & coffee. Price didn't reflect "amenities ". CONS: VERY run down facility. Front door chain lock was broken, windows didn't lock, under staffed, bathrooms were very run down. This motel was frequented by blue collar workers that didn't have many other options. Didn't see any other families. Overall, this brother & sister run motel is trying but struggling. I'd give this a pass next time. I'll stay with our family in Elko NV next road trip. read more

This is the wife reviewing this... ladies be warned and guys take my subtle hints. After 14 hours on the road we pull into this place close to 11 pm as we were exhausted. We opened the door to our first floor room and were taken aback by the vast amount of space. The cal king bed across the room was the only thing in the shadows. I flipped the switch and waited... finally the flickering and humming of a single fluorescent light began to warm up above the 1980's oak interrogation table and 2 office chairs. A glow cast upon the burgundy colored (or blood colored) carpets, the extension cord along the wall... the look of regret on my husbands face when our eyes met. First things first - I inspected the mattress to ensure it was free of bedbugs by removing the fleece covered plastic pee pad. To their credit, the cheap, stiff, box spring like mattress passed. While I was following the extension cord along the wall to the only plug for my phone, hubby was trying to close the bathroom door - which doesn't latch. Probably because when you check in, your dignity checks out. This place is so budget conscious, that it only has a single bar of soap, and a shampoo/ conditioner combo.. and if you need to have someone sign a document or last will - you will need to bring your own pen. So back to the bed, when you sit on it- it sounds and feels like an old time baby crib mattress. There is a single sheet and a well worn, thin, scratchy blanket similar to a triscuit. As a side sleeper, I was miserable. My husband was freezing as the draft from the door kept the room at a crisp temperature. Sometime during the night we were awoken by the cries from either cats or hookers fighting - probably cats. So not to be a total negative Nancy- I will list a bunch of reasons to stay here: * It's probably cheaper to stay here than most pay by hour places. * You have a secret Adult baby fetish and you want to know what it's like to sleep on a crib mattress, this is your place. * You're claustrophobic * If you're under 5'7" the shower will be perfect. * You want to find an easy way out of a new relationship. * You like squishy/ spongy uneven floors. * You need to hid a body. *You're an insomniac and you just wish to binge watch forensic files for tips. *Witness Protection Program read more

Not what anyone would expect from a Super 8 by Windham!!! Very Dirty Carpet, Dirty Bed Spread, Bed Sheets are see through thin, Bed was very uncomfortable and noisy. The toilet was not cleaned and the shower and tub enclosure has been painted with low grade paint and is failing making it look like it should be condemned. The only Ice Machine was broken, and the included breakfast was cold cereal with milk from a shared gallon jug. This property is a serious black eye for the Wyndham Name...... read more

Do not stay here. Spend the extra money on a nicer hotel that doesn't have paint chipping in the shower, cup rings in tables, and dust on multiple surfaces. The dealbreaker for me was the bathroom. It had an old soap in it which makes me question how much of this room is actually clean. Bugs in the shower. The cups are not plastic wrapped which makes them useless in times of covid. My kids wanted to go swimming but when we got to the pool the amount of dirt and floating debry made them do a quick turn back to the room. The exterior of this place is unkept and next to an abandoned store(?) Honestly, if we had not just been on the road for 12 hours and didn't need to rest, we would go somewhere else. For the price I paid for which was 50 a night it was worth it but it is a 2 star motel. Service was good too and he gave me a nice room. 2 bed to put my friends and then the room itself is big. The tub needs to be refurbished and the toilet flushes slow. At first I thought something was wrong but it was not as you have to be patient. You're better off sleeping in your car. The door did not seal all around. Sheets were rough and highly wrinkled - I didn't trust they'd been changed since the last guest. The carpet was stained and we all felt like we would be cleaner if we didn't take a shower there. Ultimately, we had prepaid for the room and didn't want to walk away from the $65 we paid for the room (husband's decision) so we stayed and I "slept" with one eye open all night long. I felt like a horrible mother with my daughter in that place as I stayed mostly awake all night praying that this wasn't an omen for the rest of our vacation travels. read more

Wow! Firat off I was on my way to Wells with a truck load of atuff, 2 dogs, 2 toddlers a teenage and myself and husband. We called while on the freeway to get a room. The guy was hard to understand and then til me to call back because he was busy. I explained I was driving on the freeway but he said he had people in from of him and couldn't help me. He could have told me he had people waiting and put me on hold or asked for my number to call me back since I was driving. But he didnt. So I him up on him. We ended up book on online at a rest stop. Then we got here late to check in and he tried telling me since we booked through orbitz the amount showing on our receipt wasn't the amount we paid. Telling me we actually pay around 20$ more that way. Got to our room and it stinks so bad. I dont know what it smells like but it's gross! Got unloaded and our a.c. wont work for longer then a couple min at a time. Had the from desk guy come in several times to look at it. He threw hia hands up and said he didn't know what to do and left. We went to talk to hom as its late we cant move hotels and ita to hot for no a.c. he did offer a refund as he said he had no other rooms. He then gave us another room next to ours which was a stinky smoking room but the a.c. worked. Room is old and needs updated. Fridge isn't cold. Finally got setteled and asleep by 1 a.m. Breakfast was nothing good. Freezer waffles set out on counter. And cheaply options. Not recommended for the 80$ we paid. More like a $30 room. read more

My parents were driving though on their way to Oregon and my mom accidentally left her blood pressure medication in her room and it wasn't discovered until they were hrs down the road. I called and spoke with the owners and they saved the medication until my parents were on their return trip 2wks later! Very grateful for the kindness! read more

It's a "get what you pay for" situation. The rate was very economical, and the hotel had the basics. Yes, the pillows are flat as pancakes and our bed was just OK as far as being comfortable. This hotel is absolutely disgusting. The room smelled of dog urine, carpets were sticky, stained, had cigarette burns in it, bathroom shower walls the tile was painted and chipping, caulking around tub was stained and missing in areas, baseboards detached from the walls, the bed sheets were so old that they look stained from being so thin in areas, and there was flys in our room. After our reservation was given away to someone else in Jackpot, NV, at West Star Hotel, we drove another 60 miles to Wells, NV. We had called when we left Jackpot and got a reservation for a handicap room in Super 8, Wells. When we arrived, the clerk told me that they did not have a room available, that they had been full on the weekend and did not have any clean sheets. That sounded like a made up story to me, and I was upset. I drove across the highway to the Motel 6 where I met a very nice and pleasant host who put us up for the night in a ground floor room. I recommend skipping Super 8 and going directly to Motel 6. Obviously Super 8 there does not honor reservations! read more

If you have to stay in wells NV don't stay at this motel! There are plenty to chose from. Our mistake on choosing this one! The check in person was very rude! The bedding was rough as were the towels and wash cloths! I don't think they know what fabric softener is! The breakfast was very sparse! One star-This place doesn't even deserve one star!! When I checked in, and went into my room-I found the light over the sink did not work-so I went to the office to see about changing rooms-a gentleman (I'm thinking one of the owners) went to the room to try and get the light on-grabbing onto the wall plate and sticking a room key into the wall plate-all the while I'm thinking he's going to start a fire!! He was unable to get the light on-so he wanted his maintenance man to come take a look. So I waited-nobody showed up! So I went back to the office and asked if I could just change rooms-the lady (I'm thinking is also an owner) asked if I dirtied the room-I said I pulled my luggage in so maybe a light vacuum-I didn't shower in the room!! So I got a different room-well-not any better!! The door would not close all the way-unless you slammed it-and it didn't seal!! The shower was like a tiny closet-with water spraying everywhere!! We slept pretty good though!! The next day was very windy!! We are here in Wells to provide a service to the community-so while my spouse is waiting for us to finish for the day-he asked if he could have a late check-out-the man at the desk said 11:00!! Well, that's normal check-out!! He wasn't willing to budge!! We are here providing a service to the community and he couldn't budge just a little! Well, you can keep your crappy hotel-when we come back into town we will not be staying at Super 8!! And my company comes to Wells at least twice a year! So you lost business buddy! My wife talks the night guy to come to the door since we are right out front. Charged us full price at 2am. hind sight. Disgusting display!! First impression was horrible and it only got worse from there. Cheap linoleum floors, that were all split and broken with big holes. There were cobwebs on the walls and ceiling. The tub had mold all over the bottom, the towel rack was broken, the towels smelled, the hairdryer had been pulled out of the wall. The beds, they were bedded with wrinkled oversized sheets, cheap mattresses and pillows. Ok, you get the idea. Keep driving or stop sooner, this place is a disaster! We ran as fast as we could. At first, we thought this hotel was closed because nothing was on the sign. Between the abandoned Ranch House Casino (I think the hotel rooms were once part of the casino), and the abandoned Desert Willow on the other side, we figured it was empty too, until we saw a light in the office. The hotel is cheaper than the other major one up the road (I always go past exits to find cheaper hotels), and I honestly wasn't expecting much. The manager greeted us warmly, however, and answered my many questions on where to eat, and what was around (He suggested Luther's, and we weren't disappointed). Our room was large, the room was clean, it had a mini coffee maker, hairdryer, and a very comfortable bed. The sofa was older so you sank if you sat on it (who does sit on those in hotels, except to tie shoes?), the TV is older but worked fine, but the reason this was not 5 stars is the fact it's a SMALL stand up shower. I'm 5'5, bent over to pick something up, and nearly hit my head on the wall. Shower head is low as well, and the bathroom is a bit run down. However, the shower itself worked fine, bathroom worked fine, so it's a cosmetic issue over a functional one (unless you are over 5'7). The breakfast is a typical hotel one, so no complaints there. Pretty good coffee in the room, actually. Very functional room, warm and friendly manager, and we would definitely go back. read more

We stayed in Super 8 in Wells, NV last night. What great costumer service! I have high standards when it comes to service as I was an employee of Hyatt Hotels for 7 years. The manager was so kind when I called ahead of time to make sure he had a pet friendly room available. He was accommodating and efficient in getting us checked into our room. I was surprised to see how spacious our room was and we had a microwave and refrigerator which was a pleasant surprise. The continental breakfast was perfect for a light meal before heading out. I wanted to like this hotel because the man and woman who work in the office were so nice. I really appreciate friendliness as it can be rare these days. However, I was fairly disappointed and a little disgusted. I wasn't expecting much as it is a very inexpensive hotel but there were a few things I'd like to mention. The room was less stinky than the last place I stayed it, that's a positive, but the shower head was so covered in lime a gunk I couldn't even take a shower. It was completely crusted over the holes. I was not even willing to turn the water on. The carpet was dirty, not just old (which it also was), there were things that could have easily been vacuumed up on the floor. The towels appeared to have been used, you know a fresh laundered towel isn't all ruffled up, it's smooth and unwrinkled, they were neither smooth or unwrinkled and felt a little wet. The beds seemed clean, the TV worked and there was good lighting outside in the parking lot. Like I said, I wanted to like this place, the people were so nice. This place a a great place to sleep. The desk staff was friendly. I asked for a non-smoking room, and the room I got smelled like cigarettes, so they switched me to a new room right away with a smile. The next morning I had no hot water, and when I told the guy at the front desk, he took $25 off my already discounted bill of $40. Ask for a government employee discount if you're eligible. My husband is a firefighter and we got %15 off. There is a 24 hour casino within walking distance, so you can get a hot meal and a drink at any time. read more

I checked in, went to the room happened to move the lamp over & underneath on the end table was a ring of green mold under the lamp & there were "droppings " everywhere. Didn't stay long enough to find out what the droppings were from. I asked for a refund and was accused of being a drunk maniac. I wasn't drunk and I'm not a maniac. Then when I checked in the Motel 6 the manager from this hotel was calling the Motel 6 manager to try to tell her not to rent to me I.....totally creeped out.
