Absolutely disgusting. Checked in and could not stay the night. Bugs everywhere in the room.

My son and his family stayed here a nigh agter a long day driving They were scared to turn off tv,even changed rooms, and it was still as dirty as the first room they couldn't even give the baby a bath or shower, because everything had mold,, pubic hair and just disgusting all around. Do not subject yourself or your children to this place. It is horrible. read more

It's not great but it's not horrible. We picked the Deluxe Queen room but after seeing it wished we had picked the 2 doubles. The room was cramped. The bed was small and flat, no support, flat pillows. The bed cover looked threadbare and dirty. Everything else looked and smelled clean. Small table w/2 chairs. Small tv. Microwave (we didn't try it) and mini fridge that had a huge ice chunk frozen to the back of the fridge, it was cool inside but ultimately didn't work. Most of the lights in the room worked. The air conditioner worked. The shower had nice hot water and medium pressure. Free soap but no shampoo, etc. No hair dryer. The key card was consistently not working, we had to go to the Front Desk to get a new one twice over our 2 night stay. I saw many other guests doing the same. The front lobby has drink machines and ice maker. The wi-fi didn't work. On the plus side, no bed bugs! There are a few restaurants in walking distance. Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, Iron Skillet (truck stop) across the street and Bella's Restaurant (I recommend). There's a pool we didn't use and plenty of grassy areas for dogs. We had our dog so that why we picked this motel, no extra charge for your dog. If you don't care much about creature comforts, need cheap and just want a shower and a clean place to sleep. We've stayed here in the past on our way to visit family. Its a good road trip stopping point! This hotel is nasty! Cigarette burn and a stain on the bedding. The beds are poorly made with sheets that are of very poor quality and have been used entirely too much. Stains on the towels. Unclean shower. Charged us $2 more than we were promised then told us to "go stay at the Hampton." Look we know it is just a Motel 6 and we paid $60 for it. We didn't expect much, but we did expect cleanliness. . . and we didn't even get that. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. read more

OK... this is Motel 6, not the Ritz... you get what you pay for in the middle of Northern Nevada. That being said, the place is well kept. My room was clean, had no issues except for the shower bottom sagging a bit, and is relatively inexpensive. Frankly, if the shower bottom wasn't sagging I would have been even happier... I really loved the design of the shower for some reason! Motel 6's are very spartan. They have those little cubbies that hold towels and stuff, there are no closets or anything like that, nor really any drawers or anything else... very Scandinavian. Heck, there isn't even an alarm clock in the room! Across the road is a fairly large truck stop, and the trucks there are running all night long. If you can't sleep through that ruckus, you might want to try something a bit further down the road. I slept through it without issue, so no problems for me. For food, there really isn't much choice in Wells, NV. There are basically two diners and that... is it. read more

This is a great stop over spot. The price is great, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff are so kind. I'm traveling with 2 young kids while husband is on deployment, Debby and Autumn took such good care of us. They allow pets including cats, which I'm also traveling with and it's hard to find places that allow anything other than dogs. We will definitely stay here again if we pass through. It's a Motel 6, not a Westin. You get what you pay for. The room was clean and suited our needs after a long day of traveling. The motel is across the street from a truck stop so expect idling trucks all night but it's easy access to the highway. Not many places to eat in Wells, especially if you like healthier, fresher foods. Mary at the front desk was awesome. She was so friendly and helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed her, a little spark of light in the vast Nevadan desert. read more

Stay away! We got charged 2x the amount we booked for on motel6.com (I showed them my email confirmation). Debbie "the manager" said it was the car show rate and could do nothing for us. We could either stay and pay double or leave, knowing that the whole town was booked. When we contacted corporate, they said it was bc we changed the number of guests from when we initially booked. Which was just an excuse not to take accountability. No less than 20-30 other guests with 1-4 occupants per room were also double charged that weekend with no remorse from motel 6 or their management. The hotel is so dirty and the rooms are run down and so small with uncomfortable beds. Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else, it's not worth the $50/night you book for or the $100/night they charge you "at their discretion". read more

Crappy motel, no ID taken with a credit card used??? Room was sweltering hot on arrival, desk clerk was super unfriendly! Pool was empty at the end of June, sketchy location next to a building that needs to be torn down. Our toilet wasn't even bolted to the floor and we were on the second floor!!! WIFI was a joke! Perfect for the money: it's a cheap motel, it's clean, the shower is blissfully hot with great water pressure, the bed is comfy. I'm writing this from our queen sized room, non smoking, there is a fridge, a microwave and a TV, it's a small room but it meets our needs: A clean, safe, warm place for the night so we can keep on driving in the morning. The wifi works fine. The price is right for tight budgets. There's also parking for trucks and trailers in the back. read more

I believe most of these reviews are fake. Many of the reviews say '... newly renovated.' That's laughable. This place hasn't been renovated in many years. Other reviews mention a fridge - there isn't any. The air conditioning unit sounds like a plane taking off. I'm 5'8" tall and my feet hang off the end of the bed! There is no shampoo or hair dryer, just a couple of bars of soap. It seemed clean but ... I think they are posting their own reviews. read more

Traveling from northern Idaho to Las Vegas, stopped here at almost midnight. The guy at the front desk was really welcoming and friendly. The room is very clean & we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well maintained the grounds are. Bonus for it being budget friendly! Will definitely stop here again in the future! read more

Clean, inexpensive, and safe. I was in room 101 and the only downfall was I could hear my neighbors TV. After awhile I got used to it and fell asleep. The room was in the mid $40's. What more could you ask? It's nice to park in front of your room for easy access. read more

I know,5 stars for a Motel 6 seems CRAAAAAZY! For 52 bucks (military discount ) we got two "ok" beds, fridge and microwave. Old ass TV but with HBO. What gives this place 5 stars is the pet policy. We were traveling with a strange array of pups, 120 lbs, 40lbs and 8. No one freaked about the amount of sizes. And they stayed for free, along with our kid. No one gave me dirty looks while walking them and the cleaning staff is sweet as pie. If towing your life behind you, I'd suggest telling when you make the res or put it in the comment section online. I requested a first floor but didn't put in the trailer part, the moved us to the back so our stuff was right outside the door. WARNING! They only provide hand soap (what can you say, this ain't the Holiday Inn) so bring your own stuff. read more

Older motel 6...the room was slightly clean, mostly dirty, old and uncomfortable beds....with a tiny room. I am traveling with my dog which is why I picked this hotel, so I wonder if I got a crappier room because I have a pet? However, options are limited and employees are very friendly..... I would not chose to stay here again because of the filth, but it was quiet at night. read more

Since we have an animal the Motel 6 chain makes it easy traveling but there are times when you sacrifice a nice night stay for your animals. It's always nice to find a quality Motel 6 and this is one of them. All rooms are updated with wood floors, refrigerator and microwave. The staff was helpful an cheerful. For the money, it's fine. Cramped "room-o-beds", but clean. Shower was hot, athough cramped. NO SHAMPOO, but fridge and microwave. Downside is truck noises all night as the truckers pull in and out of the parking area across the street. read more

The guy who checked me in was really, really sweet, and made sure that I, a lone female traveler, got a room near the office and where I could park right outside the motel room door. The bathroom was clean, yea! There was a fridge and microwave, both very clean. The free wi-fi was much appreciated. The bed was comfortable enough. Those are the good things, and is why I've given one star with no wish that I could give ZERO. Here are the bad things. The carpeting needed vacuuming along the edges, enough that I could see the dust and debris while sitting in bed. When I used the plug-in behind the nightstand, I couldn't help but notice the crumbs and dust and little bits of stuff on the floor back there. At about 6:00 in the morning, a trucker went out and started his truck (very noisy), then went back to his room and proceeded to berate his wife or girlfriend for twenty minutes or so (not the motel's fault, I know). It took until 8:00 to get back to sleep, and just as I did, housekeeping came and rattled my doorknob (unfortunately, a "do not disturb" notice was not provided in the room). Finally drifted off again at 9:00, when they again rattled my doorknob. At 10:00, they spoke loudly right outside my door about how my room and one other were the only ones left to clean, and they were just waiting on us. Here's an idea...vacuum along the baseboards in all the other rooms while you're waiting. Managed to finally doze off again, and checked out at the last possible minute. On my way out, I saw a woman sitting in a camp chair just outside the lobby door, smoking a cigarette. She admitted to being the front desk person, and the one to voice a complaint to. So I lodged mine. She looked at me with utter boredom, and when I finished she said, "huh". That's it. That's all she said. The irony of this is that if housekeeping had left me alone AND didn't yell outside my room, I'd have had enough sleep to get out of there earlier and they wouldn't have had to wait. I had a nine hour drive ahead, and dinner plans at my destination, which I missed because I arrived WAY after the dinner hour, not only because I left Wells hours after planned, but because I had to pull off the road twice for a nap. Good god...the purpose of staying at a motel in the middle of Nevada is to get enough sleep for the journey ahead. read more

Very nice inexpensive motel. The gal that checked us in last night was friendly and helpful. Room is very clean, beds comfortable and the rooms come with a fridge and microwave if you need that. You only get a couple pillows that are flat but we always bring our own so we were fine there. We slept great and it was very quiet. The only downfall was my son wanted to swim but there's no water in the pool. read more

I certainly wasn't expecting much for a Motel 6 and was a bit leery when I pulled into the parking lot. It was rather late when I arrived, but the clerk was very polite and helpful. There were parking spaces available right outside the office. I got to my room not expecting much and was very surprised to see that the furniture was relatively new and the room was spotless. I couldn't find a single thing wrong with the room. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. read more

Last Christmas, my office shut down unexpectedly leaving me with a week with nothing to do. I said "What the hell!" and went down to Death Valley. Unfortunately Mother Nature conspired against me, hitting the west coast with a snowstorm of biblical proportions wrecking my car and stranding me in Wells Nevada for three days. My residence of choice? The Motel Six, just off of highway 93 The staff was very nice and pretty damn cheerful for being stuck in a flyspeck on December 24th. As for the motel itself, it was pretty much exactly like every other Motel Six on the planet - fair accommodations that are reasonably clean and well maintained. There was a pool, but considering that there was about 12-16 inches of snow on the ground, I didn't partake of that amenity. I do have to give them mad props for the free wireless. Every other Motel 6 I've ever stayed at will ding you 5 bucks a night for the privilege of surfing. Long story short, if you've stayed at a Motel 6 before, you know exactly what you are getting in for. They're the McDonalds of the roadside motel world. This one was ever so slightly better than most 6's, so that's a plus. I should warn you, there are train tracks about half a mile away, and there will be (admittedly very faint) noise in the middle of the night. If that's a concern for you, bring earplugs or stay away. At the very least be sure to get a room towards the back of the motel away from the truck stop across the street. read more

This was a pretty good Motel 6. Very pet friendly -- lots of dogs running around, even in the lobby. Room was good by M6 standards, friendly staff, etc. Other patrons seemed to all be highway travelers, and no shady characters using rooms for.. hourly purposes. read more

I don't expect a lot from places like Motel 6 but I was blown away! We arrived at 3am and we're desperate for a room. The man at the front desk was so friendly and talked to me like an old pal. We got to our room and it was small and clean, and looked newly renovated. The showers were high(I'm 6'3 so I appreciate that) the bed was comfortable, the heater was right next to the bed which was awesome on a cold night. The staff really tries to please. I called in the wee hours to see if I could check in and they said no problem. I arrived about 8 am and they put me in a room with extra amenities because most of the rooms were being cleaned, as expected at that hour. The rooms were clean, like much of the rest of the hotel. We live this place! Don't get me wrong, a Hilton it isn't. But, for an overnight stay on our trips between CA and CO it fits the bill perfectly for us. It's clean, convenient, dog friendly (very important), safe, quiet, reasonably-priced, and the desk staff is awesome (hi Mary!). Yeah so I came here after driving 13.5 hours, barely making it to the place without falling asleep. It's exactly 0 degrees outside and I have my two dogs with me, looking for a place to stay for me to sleep and to keep my dogs warm. There's some old ass man working and apparently he doesn't know how to work the credit card machine, so I'm unable to get a room but there's still a "pending" transaction on my credit card until who knows how many days it takes for it to fall off my account. That is, if it actually didn't go through like he said. All he had to say to me was "I don't know what to tell you." Well, thanks buddy. I'm out in the middle of nowhere around midnight at the end of November with my dogs, thanks for your concern. It's not like I don't have money, you just don't know how to work the damn machine. read more

We checked into Motel 6 late Friday night and got up early to hunt on Saturday. The 1st night we got back from hunting our key cards wouldn't work. We had booked 3 nights. We went to the front desk and the attendant said "oops" she forgot to book us for all 3 nights. We finally got into our rooms and I noticed that one of my overnight bags was on my son's bed instead of in the corner where I had left it that morning. At first I thought the maid had gone through the bag but after thinking about it I think she just placed it there so she wouldn't have to make the bed? I have no idea! Second thing I noticed is that my toiletry bag had been rummaged through. I knew this because some of the items that were on the bathroom counter I hadn't even used so there would be no reason for them to be out of the bag. The most disturbing thing I found next was that both my eye shadows had been used, apparently by the maid! My eye shadow applicators were used in many of the colors I don't normally use. Needless to say I was very upset just thinking about what else she may have gotten into. We had nowhere else to stay and didn't feel like packing up at 6:00 at night after a long day of hunting and traveling 5 or so hours the day before just to get to Wells in the first place. Totally disgusting to say the least. The reviews on the other hotels in Wells were just as bad if not worse so we were basically stuck in this hell hole for a couple days. To top it all off, when we checked out a couple days later the front desk person tried to charge us 1,000.00 for our 3 night/2 room stay. Let's see..... that would be 166.67 per night per room! Wow! The attendant finally came up with another amount which was still wrong and after reviewing my bill one more time when I got home I realized she still hadn't got the amount right!! REALLY?! IF YOU HAVE TO STAY do not leave your toiletries in the room, plan on the maid looking through your things and double double check your bill before paying!! Next year we plan on staying in Jackpot!! read more

Clean room, hot shower, comfy bed. The room itself was fairly quiet, with no noise coming through from the rooms on either side. You can't turn on the bathroom light though, without a very noisy fan kicking in. The other noise issue is the truck-stop gas station across the parking lot where semis are coming and going all day & night long. As an amenity, the TV keeps going to flakes saying, "poor signal" which also made the sound stutter constantly. Usually I wouldn't care about poor TV signals, but it is the primaries and I did want to know what was going on after being on the road for 11 hours straight. The wall heater/cooling unit has a thermostat, not just an of/off switch, which was a nice plus, as it shuts itself on and off based on your temperature setting. For a one night inexpensive stay, this place was fine and I would stay here again. The receptionist who checked me in was very gracious. read more
