I wish they have a king bed on first floor. It's clean and they have on site laundry. Rooms getting remodeled by a 16 yr old with short attention span. Paint off the line or bubble spot. Floor is semi clean. We had the double bed and the second bed was against the wall. I guess this what happens when you stay in budget motels. read more

Wyndham needs to be careful attaching their name to various hotel chains. A recent stay at a Days Inn was exceptionally pleasant, so we assumed a similar stay at Super 8 would be equally good. Not even close. Carpet on steps was frayed and easy to trip over. The front door to reception was suffering from peeling paint. The room was clean and spacious, but very dated. Mold on the tile walls. Rusted heaters in the baseboard. And a breakfast with a few prepackaged sandwiches and a waffle machine. This one will not be in the itinerary for the return trip. read more

This was absolutely the worst motel I have ever been to. I am a single female traveling alone with two service animals who came into Wendover late at night and needed a safe place to sleep. I wanted to pay cash and the lady at the front, who claimed her name was Dimas Garcia (it wasn't, she did not want to give me her name) went in circles about paying for a room. I finally got frustrated and left and went to the next local hotel. The guy at the front desk America's Best not only price matched an online price, but he let me pay in cash and had me in a room quicker than the frustrating conversation I had with "Dimas" at the Super 8. Never, ever stay here. They do not care about the safety of their customers. read more

A decent spot for a quick overnight stay. Rooms are dated, and some of the paint is chipping away from the roof and walls, but that's mainly cosmetic. Aside from that, the room was very clean, tidy. And coffee was available to brew in the morning. Usually there is a continental breakfast, but due to covid-19 regulations it's on pause at the moment. We stayed on her first floor next to an ice machine. This was perfect because it was the last leg of our weeklong camping trip and the cooler was running out of ice. There's an indoor pool that's available also, but we didn't use because there seemed to some kind of construction/reno going on. Check-in/out was a breeze and there was lots of parking available. I'd stay here again if I was in a pinch and needed to for under $100 a night. read more

Sadly my first experience with a Super 8 is disappointing. I reserved my room a week ago, traveled 5.5 hours to get here only to learn this hotel is first come first served. It doesn't matter that you paid for your room a week in advance and secured it with a credit card. I thought that was what a guarantee was?? We were one of the lucky ones that we had a room as the hotel was almost sold out..... No lucky would be that we got what we paid for with "member/loyalty" pricing because that would be a benefit. The rooms are not just a bit dated but questionable. Bed coverings with cigarette burns-why would you use then? Outlets damaged and not covered. Electrical Lines hanging out are risky for children. A/C working sub par and a musty smell in the room. Luck me! read more

When searching for a room in Wendover I knew I would not be there long, so price, lack of bed bugs and dog friendly were my number one priorities while doing my search. I settled on Super 8 because their website states they have "A 15.00 USD per pet per night fee" which is incredibly reasonable and reviews mentioned a pet relief area. I also read tons of reviews for similarly priced hotels nearby and there were far too many photos of bed bugs for me, so since I saw none in any of the Super 8 reviews, I made the reservation. Upon arrival, there was a very young boy (15?) in the front office and a little girl (maybe 7 yrs old?) that checked me into my room. The young man was masked and I assumed this was a family run business which is nice. We saw that the pool was closed while parking in front of our room, which was fine because we had no intention of using it anyway and when we were looking for ice, my husband said there was an interior pool/sauna area with garbage bags all over that looked like it had been under construction for a very long time and was not accessible. Again, not an issue as we were just there for the night. The room was a very good size which was nice and I checked the bed right away and found clean sheets and no bugs. There was a microwave where we were able to heat up food and there was wifi but only one of us was able to be on at a time without it slowing to a stop. The bathroom was dated and although the tub/shower itself wasn't super dirty, I did not feel comfortable showering because things like the vents and baseboards were covered in filth. I just showered at the next hotel instead. I did appreciate how well lit the outside of the hotel was at night. There was no window to the front so I could not see my car, which I did not like but when I took my dog out after dark, I was pleasantly surprised at the bright lights in the parking lot and outside the rooms. It was easy to see and a hopefully a deterrent to anyone looking to take advantage of the lack of windows out the front. When I did take my dog out to potty, there was a green area on the side of the building but the only thing that made it a pet relief area was that hundreds of dogs had used it as a toilet and none of the owners had cleaned up after them. It was really disgusting and I actually walked my dog around instead because I didn't want her stepping in dog poop and bringing it in to the room. Also, I had to pull a paint chip that was on the door out of my dogs mouth and I was not happy about that so be attentive if you have your pet (or a child) with you. Overall it wasn't a great experience, but I knew what I needed and this hotel worked. I will say that if you are traveling with a dog and looking for a clean bed to sleep in with no bed bugs, this place will do in a pinch. For the price, I was not unhappy and I was able to grab coffee and a muffin from the office for breakfast on my way out. read more

Facility was good. Elevator is at one end of about 40 rooms per floor rather than in the middle so it can be a LONG walk to get to you room. Room and breakfast were fine. read more

When you pull into the parking lot, the building looks almost abandoned. A mop bucket was left outside, a vending machine was just left out and so was a cart of sheets. The front desk was also left unattended and even when we used the desk to call whoever was working, the line just kept ringing. We had to wait in our car until we saw someone walk into the building to check in. Upon first impression of the room, it was quite spacious and organized but once you get a closer look, you'll see that the bed sheets are stained and the carpet is dirty. The bathroom is a whole other beast. The bathroom ceiling had water damage and the paint was peeling. The vent in the bathroom was rusting. The toilet looked as if someone had just finished pooping in it and it would randomly continuously flush and we'd have to open the tank and manually turn it off. The Wi-Fi isn't great either, it'd take forever just to get to the google homepage. The front desk/lobby area was probably the cleanest part of the hotel and it was where they served breakfast and it was quite limited but not bad. read more

Had made a reservation via hotels.com. Pictures were not a good representation of the property. Arrived an hour before check in, no one was at desk, no one answered the phone that was at the desk to get assistance. Pool was empty and had garbage in it. Place looked dirty, and felt unsafe. I showed up at 6 am to find that the office was closed and when I tried to check in they couldn't find my reservation anywhere. The "manager" then told me I could pay extra and he could put me in a room but when I called 2 minutes later I was told there were no vacancies. When I then asked to speak to his supervisor I was told that he was the manager and I could do nothing but sleep in my car. Thanks alot super 8, for being so terrible at your job. read more

When you hit a Super 8 all you want is someplace clean to lay down for a night before you move on. Unfortunately, as I looked closer at the room that we were given, I noticed that it jus wasn't. I probably should have moved on to someplace else, but I didn't. I am glad that no one wanted in my room that night because the door barely shut and the latches seemed to have been jimmied many times. But what I think tops it off is, that the toilet wasn't secured to the floor. There were no bolts holding down. If you didn't sit delicately, it would slide. The Wyndham points should be tripled at places that do not live up to their perceived corporate standard. read more

I was surprised to find this gem. It is older but recently updated and nice for the price. Truck parking is debatable but if you're good at backing big trucks and trailers it will work. I've been charged with no possibility to get into the hotel. On the app Booking.com there was a special request, I was traveling and decided to stop to sleep. I did a special request to check in at 3am, they accepted my request and booked the room, when I got to the hotel, the reception was closed, and I couldn't make the check in. The funniest thing is that they didn't give my money back because of "no show". I had to sleep at my car. I'll never use this hotel again and I'll tell everyone to avoid using it until they reimburse me for the special request that they were not able to provide. read more

For a decent, low cost room in Wendover....it'll do. They allow pets, so you might have to endure loud barking throughout the night (like I did). The room was in desperate need of a deep clean. I felt okay with the linens and bathrooms, but there was a thick strip of dust around the entire room in the carpet. Everything is dated, and the beds aren't the best. But if you just need a place to crash after the casino, or on the way back and forth on I-80, you could do much worse. read more

He recommended someone close by (per our request) to get food to go and it was excellent. I don't think I've ever stayed at a nicer place for the price! This is not a hotel it is a motel, and your vehicle is only two steps from the door, a real plus. This motel is probably a 1960/70's structure, and is stark. This review is based only on our stay and our room. Our room was spartan, but did have a microwave and frig. Although it did not have USB ports, the UNprotected wifi was adequate. The table and chairs old and in disrepair. Our room was clean and the bathroom/shower was very clean, check it out because of another review saying "filthy" , not so in this case. Believe it or not, 1970's harvest gold fixtures (lol). The man checking us in was matter of fact, was not rude but distant, I believe it's just who he is. He allowed us to check the room before checking in. The room is a nonsmoking/pet friendly room, as a note, when we entered the room smelled fresh and clean, NOT musty or an unfriendly pet order. It is what it is, no friendly chatty desk clerk, no lovely landscaped exterior, just a clean bed to sleep in. read more

We have stayed at this motel in the past for Speed Week. We called several months ago to book our room for 2018 Speed Week. We got a rate of $75 and got a confirmation #. Called to confirm and found out that our reservation and our friends reservation was cancelled by the motel management. Apparently, when we the motel realized they weren't charging us "speed week rates" they cancelled all of our reservations without contacting us! I have contacted corporate. Total BS! read more

What a nightmare. The person at the front desk was rude and nearly incomprehensible. I thought I had paid for a reservation at Best Western and when we finally arrived in this horrid city, we learned that it had been turned into a Super 8. The woman at the front desk lied to me on two separate phone calls. "Is this the Best Western in Wendover?".. "Yes."... No. It is not. It is a filthy, and I mean visibly filthy Super 8. The reason I'm updating this...I read on tripadvisor the reviews to this Super 8 and their problem with the TV's have been an existing problem that they have NOT bothered to repair. The acted like they were concerned and it was a surprise it didn't look clear; PLEASE - stop pinching pennies and get better cable service and clean that nasty pool or lower your prices at least. read more

Arrived very early in the morning (2 am) and we were incredibly tired. Our check in was very quick, easy and we were able to use our AAA card for a 10% discount. Our room was huge and very clean (118). They have a continental breakfast from 6:30-9:30am. Though I doubt we will find ourselves back in Wendover, I would recommend this place. read more

The nicest Super 8 I have stayed at. Comfortable beds. We paid for two rooms while traveling through two adults and three grandchildren. We felt safe. Carpet needs replaced and air conditioning made a funny sound during the night. Grandkids enjoyed swimming in the pool. This is probably in my top 5 hotels I have ever stayed at. You might be thinking, "that seems extreme for a Super 8". (You might also be thinking, have you only stayed at 5 hotels??? But I can assure you that I have stayed at at least enough for the phrase 'top 5' to carry some significance). While I can understand your concern, this hotel was LOVELY: very clean, fast service, easy check in, and warm. The beds were so comfortable and the wifi was quick enough. For $60 this was amazing. i was having car issues. i thought i had a reservation, turns out Priceline sold me a reservation a week from the date i thought i booked. the guys at super 8 just hooked me right up and took good care of me. ended up staying a few more days. they have a better breakfast than most super 8's. the difference was tangerines, croissants and hot waffles. it is not trump towers, but it is a good bang for the buck bedroom for a night. read more
