We went here for Valentine's Day. Tried to make reservations but they only were accepting them for 6 or more people today. We waited about 45 mins. The hostess and the wait staff were pleasant and kind. Our waitress was helpful and efficient and appropriately attentive to us. She suggested the Valentine's Day special. It was an excellent choice for us. Plenty of food and a better deal than if we got our own boils plus it included dessert something we don't usually order because we are too full from dinner. This is just my personal thoughts but it was not good. First off previously to arriving we were not informed that tables over 6 have to pay 18% gratuity, only when we had already arrived. Speaking of which out reservation was at 7 and we got seated around 7:30. I have a severe seafood allergy and I got the popcorn chicken and French fries; The fries were hard and frankly just not good, but seeing as how it is a seafood place that part was good for others around me. Our waitress (Amber) was nice up until it got time to pay when we found out that each separate check has an automatic 18% tip, and not what the host told us (that it was added on to the whole bill and separated). When my 15 year old sister complained asking if it was absolute that she would have to pay that, she said "Y'all don't act your age." And when asking what she said she responded "15 and fucked up." WORST VALENTINES DAY EVER!!!! I do not understand the good reviews of this place. We made a 7pm reservation on Valentine's Day. When we arrived there was a line out the door, with lots of confusion. They had no regard for reservations, they just wrote our name on a list. Didn't even ask what time our reservation was for. I asked her, does it matter that we made a reservation? She said nope! Their reservation system failed so they were doing first come first serve. We were told we could wait at the bar, but really what they meant was that we could sit there for 45 minutes staring at the bartender. He completely ignored us, didn't take our drink orders and just focused on making drinks for the people who were seated. They had no one to wash glasses, so he was serving drinks in paper cups. I'm sorry but when you drink Martini's the right glass is imperative. By the time we got our drink the table was ready, we were seated at 8:10, which meant we sat staring at the bartender, who I later found out was the owner of this disorganized mess, for an hour before he even started our drinks. Once everyone else in the establishment was seated, and the lines were gone, they finally gave us a table. It was after 8pm. I truly believe they made us wait longer than everyone, because we complained. We tried to make the best of everything, but it was such a clusterF@ck that it was hard to stay upbeat. We ordered quickly because, well honestly we had over an hour to memorize the menu, and we were not about to let the waitress leave again, lest she disappear into the abyss. Usually I feel bad for workers that are set up to fail, but their piss poor way of handling the ClusterF@ck that we walked into made it hard to sympathize. It was just a very pissed off environment. No one was happy. We should have left, but knew on Vday everyplace was packed. Once we were seated we waited an hour for our food. Finally she comes out and puts one meal on the table and walks off. It was my husband's steak. It was cold, overcooked and the broccoli was frozen. It was completely inedible. He pushed it off to the side in disgust and we never saw her again. Until........ We finally decide to leave, it's 9:30 by this time we are hungry, angry, and tired. This waitress comes running up to us with a bill for 60.00. I have no idea what it was for. My husband didn't even ask, he threw the money at her and walked out. I was so mad, that he paid her. Whatever that bill was for should have been comped. I had already paid for the drinks, and the steak he ordered and didn't eat was only 21.00. This place does not deserve to be in business. We had another couple with us, the experience was so bad, we didn't even drive through a McDonalds, we just wanted the evening to end. We drive home, went to bed, Hungry, angry, and tired. This place sucked all the joy and romance out of the entire evening. Will never be back. Will never recommend. Just another subpar seafood restaurant. I'm sticking with upscale restaurants from now on. I'd rather pay higher prices and be treated like a human. I would also like to add that for such a subpar place. The prices were ridiculous. But I can't tell you how the food was because we just "Hung out"for 3 hours and never saw any food. read more

Also, got hush puppies as an appetizer and complimentary garlic bread. My daughters had similar combos and paella. We all enjoyed what we had but had far too much food.
