I took the remaining beers back to the store & the elder clerk told me that was the brew date not the sell date & refused to swap them out. I walked out & threw the beer away. They refused to sell to my husband, even though he was the one making the purchase and had his ID. We went all the way home to get mine, only to return and see a child who looked to be about 12 carrying three bottles of wine up to the counter for his parents to purchase. Apparently that wasn't an issue, yet me simply being with my 30-year-old husband without my ID was. I understand stores have policies and employees have to follow them, but there is a polite and professional way to handle situations like this. This employee at checkout was unnecessarily rude from the start, which made an already frustrating situation much worse. Consistency and basic courtesy go a long way. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
