This product is as suppose to be sold July 23,2022 I am writing this review July 25,2022.

All I have to say about this place is "expired products" Products such as poultry is sitting there past due . And when you tell them this they tell their customer go buy your product somewhere else. Rude and slow customer service. The Associate that told me was very kind to let me know that this product was expired and when the manager is informed they give you the worst look and tell their customer to go buy it from someone else. CHECK THE DATE OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BUY LIKE THE STORE MANAGER SAID.

    Rare to find date bars.

Well let me tell you, the quality is superb. They have amazing service and a great selection of other speciality item such as Greek olive oils, snacks and local honey. They claim to source from local suppliers when possible and their beef is humanely and pasture-raised. They also prepare fresh sausage, weekly. Also available here is food for animals, smoked meats, animal fat for cooking, and grill products. The prices are a bit steep considering the meat is some of the highest quality you can get without having access to a local farm or raising and butchering your own livestock. The customer service is friendly. I do recommend researching and having knowledge of the specific cut of meat you desire before going to this butcher or any butcher for that matter. Butchers have a tendency to recommend alternatives when they are out of a specific cut. Many times they are spot on, but for the seemingly uneducated it can be an opportunity for bad businesses to offload a lesser or expiring cut for as much if not more expensive. On one visit I wanted boneless short rib and the butcher here appropriately recommended Denver cut which is the alternate name for this cut. A novice might not know this. Overall a good experience. I'll visit again when in the area.

This time, I had placed an order for pick-up and for such a short service, my mother was treated with disrespect. The server we had, Daniel S., was extremely unprofessional. I ordered my parrillada medium rare. When I went home, most of the meat was rare. My mother called the store location to see what had happened. Our server had picked up the phone and apparently was the manager of the shift. We had let him know what had happened. Instead of offering to fix the mistake or even ask us to bring it back in (which we would've if he had asked us to), he decided to explain to my mother the terms of medium-rare and how it is "crudo", but medium-rare in spanish is medio crudo. He then, told us to google it if we wanted to know what medium rare is, like we haven't dined in at a restaurant and ordered steak medium rare before. (The image is of what most of the meat looked like in the inside and you can see we were trying to cook it more in the back) Apparently, this is not new for them to serve meat a lot more rare than they are meant to. (I saw a reviewer that had shown medium rare meat when they ordered well done. I tried contacting the business to make sure this incident doesn't occur again, but unfortunately their email address doesn't work and there is no direct number to call the store owner.

I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.
