The service was great and the food was good overall. Some of the food was not as good- like garlic bread- but that's not what you go there for. So I used to eat here all the time, at least once a week, and the food and service was always good. But today I strolled I'm for lunch and got my usual. 5 fried dumplings with the Mai Fun and a plate of assorted sushi. The food was borderline cold and the sushi tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. To top off my visit, I had a roach buddy crawl on my leg up to my jacket before I noticed him and swiped him off. Second attempt trying this location while in Cookeville. Now I know that Covid is still going on and going out for food is a treat, but... I am seriously considering disputing the charges on my bank card after my last visit here. We were greeted when we walked in and paid to eat on the buffet. They had half of the restaurant closed off and all of the people spaced approximately 6 feet apart. They had gloves and hand sanitizer at the head of the buffet for you to use. All of that was fine... It is the next part that really bothered me. We found a table and set our drink ticket down and went and filled our plates with what appeared to be delicious food... We sat down to eat very bland dull room temperature food with no drinks... My husband attempted to get the servers attention more than once to get our drinks... We also attempted to eat their Sushi... Bad move... Warm and yucky... Still waiting for our drinks... Our drinks were finally brought to us as we were getting up to leave... $30 later and we had to stop at a gas station to get drinks and snacks because we were hungry and thirsty... Lesson learned... The place has plenty of seating including booths and tables and flatscreen TVs in the dining area. This buffet has pretty good selection of food choices offering Chinese, American, sushi and a hibachi grill (made to order dishes-you pick the ingredients) including fried foods (fries, crab rangoons, spring rolls, egg rolls, chicken fingers & nuggets, fried vegetables), stuffed mushrooms, dumplings, chicken teriyakis, lomein, rice, soups, salad bar, seafood (shrimp cocktail, fish, mashed potatoes, steak, ribs, sushi (decent selection), desserts (hard ice cream cups (Sysco), cookies, cake, egg custard pie tarts, jello, puddings, fruits), and more. Crab legs are offered for additional charge. The food we had tasted fine and very filling. Went there at 9:00pm. 30 minutes before closing and was already taking everything down and there was practically no food. Was told by the manager to check to make sure. We said yes while being promised a discount. while eating we couldn't hardly even get a refill. The food was nasty. Then go to pay and get charged full price. My opinion of all you care to eat Asian food Buffets have been tainted due to past experiences of masses of people crowding around an unsanitary food bar. But Super Hibachi is very different. The two times I have eaten here has been an excellent choice. First of all the restaurant is clean and the food bars are extremely clean. They are also properly separated so that people are not bumping into one another grabbing for food. Their selections are plenteous from personal hibachi favorites, sushi and the vast array of normal selections of fried foods and typical Asian food fare. The wait staff were quick to keep our drink orders filled and the cost is reasonable. Each dish I tried was very tasty and the accompanying sauces were extremely good as well. There are plenty of items available to visit several times to try something new. It's not my every week type of restaurant, but it is a excellent choice for this type of food outing read more

Excellent food selections what I love the best and no one has mentioned is the hibachi grill you can select your meat choices and veggies and they cook them in front of you a much healthier alternative to deep fried food. Unclean plates! I found a baby cockroach in the base of my plate. I went to the manager an showed it to him. He said if it was an ant! and I told him that it was a small cockroach. If you decide to go to this place be aware not to pick plates from the bars at the very back (near the salad bar). I think those plates are not used often and the staff just leave them there.
