The campus itself is spread out with plentiful student housing rumored to be pretty posh and spacious. Sonoma State seems to have a focus on liberal arts with a concentration in the arts and STEM. The outdoor pool adjacent to the gym is pretty good but the locker rooms are dated, cramped and dirty and in need of an overhaul. You'll see evidence of Peanuts' Charles Schulz at Sonoma State. My son loved going here after school care. They pick your child up after school. My guy always had so much fun there and made a lot of friends there. One of them is still his best friend today. The people who ran the school were just the most kind and caring people, and I believe a few of them are still there today. They provided a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for my son after school while dad and I were still at work. We never had to worry about him when he was there, and that's just priceless. Communication with the director, Kenzie, and assistant director, Rosie, was immediate, considerate and thorough. Our eldest was fully prepared for kindergarten when she graduated from TLE. She understood classroom dynamics and expectations, and she had mastered measurable skills in language, reading, math and art. Our youngest was loved and nurtured during his time at TLE, and the teachers were incredible at supporting us during potty-training and different developmental stages. I would have driven all the way to you just to turn around and leave because of your fee that wasn't disclosed upfront. Most local studios and private teachers I have found to offer an initial lesson for free to see if it is a good fit. If that's is not the case with you it would be a much better business practice to be a little more upfront in the future. It feels incredibly dishonest.

I switched him to Spencer at Great Burrow Studio and within one lesson he was loving piano. He plays for an hour or more a day and just loves it. He also did Rock Band Camp and loved that too. He wrote this about the studio: This is a great place to take music lessons as Spencer Burrows is the best music teacher I have ever met.
