If I were to do it again, I would do exactly the same itinerary we did this time. First, we ate lunch in Santa Rosa on our drive up. Then we checked in at about 3 PM and put all our stuff down in the room. Next, we had a 4 PM Safari tour, which took all of the three hours as advertised. Then we had booked a reservation for dinner at their restaurant. Finally, we stayed in a luxury tent on antelope alley. First, the Safari tour. I would highly recommend tons of sunscreen and bring water. I don't know why in my head. I didn't think to bring water, but I didn't and my kids complained of being thirsty the whole time. It is about 2 1/2 hours in a jeep, so it's not that much walking which is nice. They have seats on top of the jeep, which is so much fun if you have younger children. They also give you umbrellas so you can block the sun while you're on top of the jeep otherwise, I'm pretty sure everyone would get sunburned. At first I thought we were just going to be driving around fenced areas to look at animals so I was definitely happy when we went into the fence and started going really close to the animals. It was a great experience and honestly the 2 1/2 hours flew by. Our guide was very informative and I learned a lot about all the animals that we saw. When we got back to base then it was a walking tour of some of the animals that are in enclosures. And we also walked into a giant bird area, which was pretty cool. The dinner was buffet style, and the food was pretty good. I wouldn't say I loved all the food, but there really isn't any other option if you want to stay on site, so I would highly recommend booking it. They did s'mores at a campfire, which I thought was a really nice touch and then they played the movie, The jungle book live action. In the winter, I bet the tents are very cold. They have individual heaters and electric blankets. We were there during a super hot summer and even then it got pretty cold at night. Even though it's called a tent there are hard floors, working plumbing and electricity so this really is the epitome of glamping. The only thing is the walls being tents means it gets quite cold. This is the closest to camping I will ever go. The next morning they had a continental breakfast that was the basic continental breakfast you would get at a lower end hotel. I just appreciate the option, so I'm not gonna judge too much. Everyone we interacted with was super nice and I think this was such a fun experience for my young children. I would definitely recommend checking it out and one night is more than enough.

Daniel was so knowledgeable, answered all the questions we had and more and genuinely cared for all of the animals we met. Don't skip the roos, they are so soft and we got to spend time with mama to be Lulu and baby Onya. They take in animals from various circumstances, including those confiscated from the illegal animal trade, and care for them and find other homes for them like zoos or aquariums. I highly recommend a visit to Wine County Zoological, its perfect for a memorable experience for a special occasion.

The capybara is a large animal, and it was pretty surprising and amusing that the female came over and after having her snacks from us would lay down for belly rubs, just like a dog . The sloths were adorable and the little armadillo was very personable. It was enjoyable holding and admiring him.. The tour is educational, fun and rewarding and the money goes for the upkeep and vet bills of all these wonderful wildlife animals . They are a joy.

When we entered, we checked in and was reminded about the socks and waiver. They have cubbies for shoes. When we entered the play area, there's definitely a lot of things to do. They have climbing structures, ball pits and activities for little kids. I do have to say this is probably tailored for smaller kids as I feel like someone who is taller may need to be extra careful not to hit their head. Some indoor play places I've been to have clearance for 5' but this place definitely does not. Although it feels big, it can feel very chaotic and crowded in there if it's during a public play hour. I felt like there were multiple birthday parties going on so there's a lot of kids. They have couple party rooms and it looks like there's flexibility for the host to bring in their own food/desserts. I also cannot recall if Enchanted Cosmos makes an announcement when it is time for the birthday party attendant to go to the party room or if this is the responsibility of the host. I also noticed during the party room, it wasn't staffed by an employee either. Overall, I think this is a fun place to throw a party for a little kid (early elementary school age).

Because they are working with important stuff pertaining to national security, nuclear materials and other top secret stuff, they won't let the average Yelper in there. But, right outside their front gate is the Discovery Center. The Discovery Center is a small museum that gives you a brief introduction to the lab and what they do. They have hands on and interactive exhibits for children to play with. Most of the exhibits were well maintained. It is an interesting way to spend an hour. The staff, at least on the day were there, was fantastic. Since we were the only ones there, she almost gave us a personalized tour to explain some of the exhibits and talk about the lab and what they do. They have an easy scavenger hunt for children with a nice t-shirt as a prize. They are pretty generous with the scavenger hunt and let children of all ages play. The museum is priced just right for most Yelpers. It is free! It's a nice place, with not a lot of visitors.
