I'm reviewing the actual restaurant not the truck because I've never been to the truck, but nonetheless this place is amazing. I've yet to try anything but the wonder burrito but I am sticking with a good thing. Its filled with rice, beans, sour cream, avocado, cilantro, cabbage and your choice of meat. I'm partial to asada so thats what I choose, my boyfriend gets the chicken and he likes it. The burrito is grilled closed so it keeps all the fillings nice and hot. The guy who I presume to be the owner is very nice and all the staff are too. My boyfriend and I love it, we also like that you can call in your order to go. This use to be one of my favorite places to eat, it was delicious, cheap, and fulfilling. But the key word is "WAS", the last few times I have been here the food tasted like it was made with rotten ingredients and was unbareable. I'm sure they still serve fresh food if you happen to go there during the times when they have recently purchased fresh ingredients, but it's too much of a gamble for me to risk it when there are plently of great taco trucks in Bellingham to choose from. The only reasons I gave it 2 stars instead of one is because it's pretty cheap and the service is generally pretty decent. read more

After my second time visiting Super Mario's, I am just as impressed as the first meal. The food is NOT fast food. All made fresh and delicious. The quesadillas were recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. Fresh, crisp veggies, flavourful meat and toasty on the outside. Mmmmm. We also tried the enchiladas and some fruit turnovers (huge turnovers for $1!!) All yummy. Bill for four complete meals, four turnovers and a side of rice and beans was $48. read more

I was really excited to go here since a friend referred me. I ordered the veggie quesadilla which I asked what came on it and was told "mozzarella". When it came with vegetables too I was stoked until I saw avocado because I am allergic. I asked if it could be remade since avocado gives me excruciating stomach pains. They took it back, scraped the avocado off and brought it back to me. I couldn't eat it so I basically gave them money for nothing and I left hungry. read more

Did not enjoy at all eww never again! Food: not authentic Salvadorian my pupusa had hair in it! no cheese, pureed beans not fully cooked raw and cold. Customer Service: poor when ever I asked the cashier who was taking my order about something she would just point.,c'mon lady i don't know the menu like you I speak English and Spanish say something. not helpful at all! Price: on the high side., 1.00 soda cans prices do not reflect quality of food., no refills you have to repay drink. Overall Restaurant Ambiance: for being the only group to show up at this place besides the flies already there., neat ., you have to clean up after yourself that's ok also separate garbage from recycle I had time so didn't mind. I visit the taco truck regularly, and I adore / crave the food basically every other day. A couple of the younger servers can be a little bit rude but that seems pretty valid considering the rude and impatient people they have to deal with everyday. read more

We love their taco truck, but the burritos at the Northwest location are truly just a cut above. Cheap, relatively quick (although it does take longer than the taco truck) and delicious. The veggie & spicy wonder are our go-to... we live on the opposite side of town and still get take-out there regularly. A must-try! read more

Went to Super Mario's for lunch the other day and ordered a veggie Wonder Burrito. I was the only one in the store and waited about 10 minutes for my food. I heard the bell ring, looked toward the kitchen and saw my burrito waiting in the window between the kitchen and the register. I approached the counter and waited for the person manning the register to pass me the burrito, but no one was there. The cook had seen that there was no one at the front, and instead of bringing me my burrito disappeared into the back. 5 minutes later (after much internal debate about whether or not I should jump the counter) the man who took my order reappeared and handed me my burrito. After telling my husband about this incident, he informed me that the same situation happened to him when he'd gone there previously. This neglect may have been forgivable if the burrito was good, but that may have been the most disappointing part. I expected to have a nice mix of veggies, cheese, beans, rice, and avocado, however the the first 4 inches of this monstrosity contained nothing but bland stir-fried veggies that tasted like Chinese leftovers from the mall. Upon discovering the rice, I was disappointed to see that there were only 3 bites. Abysmal experience. That being said, the food truck is consistent and delicious. If you want Salvadorian food, head over there. read more

Very large burritos, good roasted chicken, fiery habanero sauce on request, affordable. It can be slow so calling in your order ahead of time is a good idea. Nice reserved El Salvadoran family that own and operate it. Generally fresh and authentic. A solid go-to when you can't decide on anything else or just want to pick something up to go. read more

Since moving to Bellingham from California I was really missing the great Mexican food. Super Mario's really hit the spot. There was plenty of really fresh cilantro and avocado in my chicken burrito. The chicken was nicely roasted. Just yummy! I will definitely go back for more and will probably try other items on the menu; sounds as if I really need to try the Pupusas. Yay! read more

It's really subpar. I think for the quality of the food, it's a little high priced. I have ordered food there many times. They make a gluten free bakery item called quesadilla. It's not the flour tortilla with cheese; it's like pan cake with sesame seeds on top. The tacos are good and just like all the other tacos I've had from Netos and the taco trucks, but when you go into ordering anything else, it's almost like you could've made it better yourself, at home. I don't think I'll order anything else again besides tacos and the baked goods. It's really not that unique at all. The art on the walls doesn't make sense and is Mitch matched(Victorian painting stock art, French cafe stock art). They have a bathroom which was pretty clean, a and that's a plus. read more

Super Marios has huge portions. The deluxe fajita can feed a couple of people and it is always tasty. There are some differences when different cooks prepare it, but I have never had a bad meal there. The taquitos are very tasty as well. I have also tried the pupusa, although I dont have anything to compare it to it is very good and cheap. read more

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday afternoon. Despite being the only customers present, several tables were covered in trash and dishes. The straw dispenser was dirty inside, so we drank our fountain sodas without them. I had sprite instead of coke because the coke was broken. We both had pork wonder burritos. Both of us found them dry and noticed a fishy-type taste, which we did not recognized. I should have ordered mine without onions- it tasted primarily of onions. My husband had hoped for some salsa on the side, but all they had was hot sauce out of a bottle. I am unlikely to go there again. read more

If you're Salvadorian don't think this place's pupusas revueltas will come anywhere near your mom's or grandma's. I had a craving for some pupusas and was so disappointed. The mix was mainly beans and cheese. They don't have pupusas de chicharron. It's more of a Mexican restuarant. They don't have platanos, pan con pollo, tamales de sal ni azucar, yuca frita...it's more like tortas & burritos. Now, if you want horchata...they've got some and it's pretty good. read more

I am so confused as to why everyone keeps insisting that this place makes delicious pupusas. I am Salvadorena and I thought I'd give it a chance since everyone kept telling me their food was worth it. I went to the restaurant and to my surprise only had two options when it came to pupusas, cheese and beans, or beans and pork. I chose the cheese and beans but even then their beans weren't refried well so they looked like goo and the cheese was nonexistent. For drinks they don't sell kolachampan (soda from El Salvador) or horchata. Plus burritos are NOT Salvadorean food, they aren't even Latin American food. If you are looking for real Salvadorean food go somewhere else. read more
