So I wanted to have a few friends come over with their kids on Sunday so they could play and we could watch football. I decided to hop on the grill, grab some drinks and make it a fun little day for everyone. I checked to see if my normal butcher spot was open but to my surprise it was permanently shut down. So I decided to look for a place nearby and came across Danny's Fresh Meat produce right around the corner from me. So I hop in the car and head over! It's in the same parking lot as Salsa and Beer so finding a park is always tough especially on a weekend. That parking lot is a nightmare but once you get a park it's all good. I walked in and it's a very small shop with a cashier in the front, two small isles of produce and meat in the back. It seems like it's all locals because everyone was talking to, who I assume was Danny, in the back working with the guys cutting up the meat. When it came to my turn, I told him I'd never been here so he explained what they do, how they cut the meat, the type of meats they have and that he's been there for 30 years! He is an extremely nice and helpful Armenian guy who has completely won me over. There are a few local places I love supporting in my community and he'll definitely be one of them. The place was very clean and organized. There wasn't a lot of produce but just enough to get your essentials. As for the meat, I picked up a pound and a half of beef loin tenderloin steak at $25.99 a pound and two pounds of marinated chicken breast cut in half's. He told me the steak would melt in my mouth and he told no lies!! The steak was so tender and everyone was asking where I got it from. He made sure to let me know he can slice it up any which way I needed it to be. Overall, Danny's is the perfect spot to grab some local produce and meat if you want to support your local businesses. It always feels good helping out people in your community. Beware of the parking though. 5 out of 5 Afros OOOOO

You know it's BBQ Season, as their smokers fill the air that makes your mouth just water! There's always a line (a good sign)... and the portions are fair (not great, but not skimpy either). There's always two things when it comes to the barbecue does it smell as good as it tastes does it taste as good as it smells? And in this situation, the taste is not as good as it smells. I've been on this planet for a long time in the last 40 something years have eaten more than my Fair share a barbecue so I can only give you my opinion of a 40 year journey eating all kinds of barbecue from coast to coast. When it comes to their accouchement of sauces, yes they got plenty of hot sauces but no they don't have that many "" sauces or a juice that you can get with what you order. Lastly, all kinds of folks I've met are proud of the meat. They make love to talk about it love to get into the mechanics behind it without of course, giving up their trade secrets you don't get that here. If anything, you can just get people that wanna move the line along and I get it if there's a long line you wanna move folks along, but you can still be friendly about it. During the days that I've been there before the line started it's the same attitude just get your plate. Get your grub and go little to no communication. So if they ever make their chicken, chickens and meats taste as good as it smells, they will definitely get another star out of me, and if their attitude was more friendly and less stuffy, we would finally get that five star review that they should deserve, but due to the things I've encountered more than once it's three stars.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was great. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and all of the guys working there made it a point to let me know they were available if I needed help. As a first-time shopper, I never felt judged for asking questions or taking my time looking around. They were also extremely helpful getting my account set up and explaining how everything worked. The selection honestly exceeded my expectations. The quality of the meat is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable overall. A few items felt a little pricey, but not enough to take away from the experience. I've already been back twice since my first visit. I stocked my freezer with bone-in pork chops, lobster, and several other items, and the pork chop quality alone was enough to make me a repeat customer. I also loved seeing seafood options like orange roughy and red snapper--items that aren't always easy to find or are often sold out elsewhere. Knowing I can run over and grab quality proteins without making multiple stops is a huge plus. Beyond the meat and seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the pantry selection. They carry sauces, seasonings, and other staples, and there were some really good sales happening at the front of the store. Parking was easy, and while most people seemed to get in and out quickly, I happily wandered every aisle because I wanted to see everything. If you're a home cook or a fellow chef looking for quality frozen, vacuum-sealed proteins and a fantastic selection, I definitely recommend checking out Wild Fork. I'll absolutely be back.

I ended up ordering lunch to take home as well, and the kebabs were excellent -- fresh, flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. What really stood out to me, though, is that they actually grill their meats over charcoal. That's becoming so hard to find, and it makes such a difference in the flavor. You get that real smoky, traditional taste that you just can't replicate on a regular gas grill. Between the fresh groceries, authentic Armenian ingredients, and the charcoal-grilled food, this place has something really special. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to bi weekly

They have an assortment of raw meats that you get to choose from and they cook it as you order it. That means you'll wait 15-20 minutes but the food here is worth the wait. I ordered the chicken breast plate with a side of garlic sauce. The chicken breast was juicy and tender. The garlic sauce on the side is a MUST. I also asked for some slices of lime/lemon on the side and they were generous enough to put some in my bag. The people working there were warm and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone in the area :) Im removing one star because my portion of chicken breast was a bit small compared to what I'm seeing in the photos from other yelpers.

I ordered flank steak, who doesn't like carne asada and they will marinade it for you. Its perfectly cut by hand to a thin cut of beef, the real Mexican carne asada, the kind I grew up with. I also ordered chuletas de pollo. Chicken cutlets. Its breast meat cut thinly. Who needs to pound the hell out of the meat when its perfectly thinly cut. This way when you place it on the grill it cooks evenly. They marinade it for me as well. Both meats were so good. My daughter is so picky when eating chicken and she loved this. Won't eat it from anywhere else anymore. They also have other cuts of meat that you don't usually see at your regular grocery stores like Cecina. Cecina I only get to enjoy when I go visit my grandmother in Mexico. They make tons of it in her city and ship it to different locations so I get my fair share of it when Im there but here in the states if you find it, it wont be the same. This meat is super thin, almost see thru, a bit salted, and oiled since its so lean. You basically heat it up on a griddle (for us it's a comal) for literally a min or you can leave it a bit longer and it'll crisp up and have a kind of beef jerky consistency. But oh soooo good. Oh you need to get a few avocados from here. They are huge and perfectly ripe. You wont be disappointed. Its worth checking out. Please support our local small businesses.
