Wild Fork has some of the best meats and seafood you will find anywhere. They have meats that are almost impossible to locate in California. For example, they have bison, kangaroo, deer, chicken with all the parts and other types of rare game type meat. They also have an amazing selection of seafood and steak. The different types of steaks they have--all great--are from all over the world. The service is great. They are trained and know what they have and what is healthy and what might have more fat than you want. They are fast and take good care of you. The place is always well stocked and so clean. It is comfortable and you can get around easily. All their items are flash frozen because some have to be because of where they came or to kill bacteria that is usually not, but can be harmful to some--like deer. You will get hooked on this place fast.

This is one of those places where I want no one else to know about because I love it so much. But they deserve some props. If you cook meat at home, this is the place for you. They have all sorts of cuts available, frozen fresh and ready for you to defrost any day. Most cuts are pre cut small enough so it usually defrosts overnight in the fridge. One of the nice things about this place is that they meat or cuts that you've probably never had before. While that sounds intimidating, there may be a few sample recipes so that you don't feel completely blind when picking them up. Service is good. I've ran into a variety of employees at this location, but I've only had good interactions so far. It looks like they are very picky about who their employees and I appreciate that. Aside from the meat selection, I also appreciate the layout. Most meat shops are usually very crammed, feel cold and seems like the butcher is right next to you. This place is very bright, open and spacious so you feel very comfortable moving around and picking up the products you want.

So glad they opened up a store close by. I use order my meat with them online and have it delivered. The bad thing about that is that you don't know what kind of quality meat that you will received. With the store close by you can come in a pick and choose. They pretty have all different cuts a of meat that you desire for bbq or for the smoker. Besides your meat they also carry a good amount of seafood to choose from. Service was fantastic and very friendly. They have there own private lot so parking is easy. I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for quality meat.

Love wild fork simply because you can meal prep easily! Their flash frozen products are of high quality and tastes fresh once cooked. You wouldn't think that it was frozen. Today, I picked up chicken fajitas, burger sliders with brioche buns(frozen as well) zucchini, pesto butter sauce, mash potatoes, and other items. I can't wait to prep them and cook them all. The ambiance in the store is quiet, chill, not crowded during the time I arrived and the staff is friendly as well. Also, the prices were very reasonable and will be coming back soon.

Interesting selection of meat and seafood from this frozen meat and seafood chain based in Florida. They also carry frozen fruit, vegetables, and desserts such as a key lime pie from the Florida Keys. The more I started digging online about Wild Fork I am not so sure if I should be shopping at Wild Fork. Probably every major grocery store or company out there has some controversy if we Google it, but it is good to be aware of these things. Wild Fork is owned by JBS, a Brazilian company and the largest meat packer in the world. JBS "slaughters over 50,000 cattle per day." That's how huge the parent company is. A quick search online shows that the Wild Fork corporate office is located in Dorval, Florida. A quick online search came up with the following info about its parent company: "JBS, a Brazilian meat giant, faces ongoing controversy surrounding allegations of deforestation, environmental damage, corruption, and labor violations, including sourcing cattle from illegally deforested land and engaging in price-fixing schemes." YIKES. Wild Fork also had a lawsuit "to resolve allegations of national origin and race discrimination, harassment, and retaliation against a Hispanic female employee." YIKES. All this searching about Wild Fork was triggered by looking up the kind of shrimp I bought on sale at Wild Fork. The Argentine shrimp I bought is on the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch "do not buy list" because it poses "a high risk to the environment." Why would Wild Fork carry this kind of shrimp? A red flag that Wild Fork doesn't care about sustainability and the environment. YIKES. Knowing this information definitely makes me want to think twice about shopping at Wild Fork or look things up before I buy it. Is buying meat and seafood at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Aldi, or Trader Joe's any better than Wild Fork? You can check this place out and be the judge. I did enjoy perusing their frozen meat and seafood selection. If you're looking for exotic meats, they carry bison, venison, crocodile, and the like. The service at the register was friendly and there was plenty of parking in their lot on a week day. If you're curious like me, it's worth a visit just to check it out.

Here are some of the few items I bought. I wanted to buy everything in the store and will be going back for the proteins...

I just browsed all the aisles, but didn't buy anything on this visit. I have noticed that lot of customers were waiting for their fish to be cleaned and fried for free of charge. It smelled good though. Inside you can find restaurants, money changers, street food. It was an interesting place for a first timer and definitely not the last.. Store was nice, big and very clean!! Plenty of parking in front of the store free of charge. When I opened the fish at home, I discovered what appears to be visible parasites inside the body cavity. Here is the most disturbing part: when I was at the store, the employees strongly insisted that I take advantage of their FREE fish cleaning service. They repeatedly told me: "No, we don't sell it uncleaned, no we don't sell it uncleaned" -- pushing the free cleaning on me. Now I understand why. The free cleaning service removes the guts -- and with them, the visible parasites -- so customers cannot see the true condition of the fish before purchasing. This is deliberately concealing a food safety issue from consumers. I am filing complaints with the Health Department and BBB. I am attaching photos as evidence. Please be cautious and ALWAYS inspect your fish before letting them clean it. Do not let them clean it before you see inside. This is a serious public health concern.

She was upset about a small sample paper cup that was sitting inside the cart and accused them of throwing it there. The strange part is that my family member was still holding their own sample cup in their hand and told her that. Instead of realizing it may have been left there by someone else, the woman aggressively snatched the cup from her hand, and continued escalating the situation. The conversation was happening in Korean, and she began insulting them, saying they didn't even speak Korean and couldn't understand what she was saying. We are Korean by the way. All of this over a tiny paper sample cup that wasn't even theirs. The cashier seemed confused and was apologetic, clearly unsure why this woman was acting this way. What was more disappointing was that when it was brought to the owner or manager's attention, the response was dismissive. My family member was asked to let it go, not the worker It's concerning that someone felt comfortable physically reaching into a customer's cart and grabbing something from their hand, and that it was brushed off instead of addressed. Unfortunately, this isn't our first negative experience here. On a previous visit, we bought multiple cabbage that turned out to be rotten inside. I called immediately, took photos, and asked if I could return it. I was told yes, but the person on the phone sounded irritated, like it was somehow my fault. There are other options, like Galleria, where the produce is consistently fresher and the management is noticeably more attentive and welcoming. Very disappointing overall.

Service was satisfactory. Fish was very fresh and tasty. I would come again to try the restaurant and their other fish products I missed. So this place is a choose your own adventure (handrolls, fish shop, cafe), built out in this tetris sort of layout. Upon entry you have some high chair seating and the cafe straight to the back. Along the other side is some window seating followed with the fish shop on against the last wall. Overall its pretty small so seating is limited. So much so I was indirectly informed to move from the window seating after sitting there with my bev and bread because that was for the handroll section. So I promptly went outside. Ordered: Iced Chai Latte: 5/5 - Excellent Chai. Best I've had in a minute Banana Bread: 5/5 - Recommended to me by the server. Sigh, reminded me of those good ol covid days. Very good banana bread. BBQ Fish: 4/5 So fun fact - on sundays whatever you buy from the fish shop they'll bbq it for you, pretty cool right? While the prices are a little steep, most of it is by weight so my selected fish actually was only $6. When we do the bbq option you get a little slaw to go with it. I asked the guy to give me a relatively affordable but good option and now I don't remember what it was I know. But it WAS good. It was light, a little citrusy, and surprisingly meaty? If I closed my eyes and did a blind test you could've had me fooled for red meat. If you don't like bones and all I would suggest something else. Now I have to say as soon as I ordered that one of the girls who worked there was on her off day and ordered a salmon burger, and apparently that's off the menu and isn't every week! I felt bamboozled, the fish guy did me wrong haha. With that said, if you can be here for that it seems well worth it, the grill man was mostly cooking patties and I asked one party how was it and they said it was delicious, really packed too, that burger was thick! Now there is some outdoor seating (3) but between the handrolls in the back and the bbq in the front it could be hard to find a place to sit. I got there around 12 Sunday and a few things I wanted were already sold out so I'd say make it earlier or order ahead if you can. All in all this place has been on my list for a few years now and I'm glad I finally went. I enjoyed what I experienced so far but I'm willing to go back to get the full nine yards.

Whenever I go down to the Los Angeles area to visit family I always make it a must to get some quality Jewish and/or Israeli food! Unfortunately our options for both are limited up in Northern California, but Angelenos are spoiled with their plethora of options in this space! I hadn't been to Super Sal Market in years! Probably since I had lived in the L.A. area 10 or so years ago. Super Sal is located in the South San Fernando Valley (Encino to be exact) on Ventura and White Oak. It is a Kosher/ Jewish grocery store that has a wide array of Jewish/Kosher/Israeli products! I was in the need for some Israeli spices to bring back to my wife so I knew I had to hit Super Sal up! When you walk in you're automatically amazed at how many Israeli products they've imported! Anything and everything from cereals, shampoos, cutlery, and even ice cream!!! (Seriously, someone tell me how that works?? Wouldn't it melt on the way over here?) You honestly feel like you're in Israel! They also have freshly baked breads, a deli section, and a wide variety of Sephardic foods too! I'm not as familiar with Sephardic Jewish food so it always intrigues me to see new goods I didn't know about before! Even if you're not Jewish or Israeli, a visit to Super Sal Market is still a fantastic cultural experience getting to see all the meats, foods, imported items, and more! I give Super Sal 4 out of 5 stars because they are a little expensive (which I get because a lot of their products are imported or difficult to find). And I wish their floors were a little cleaner. But at a time when antisemitism and Jew hatred is high in America it's important to support Jewish shop owners. In a nutshell, if you're in the San Fernando Valley and are looking for Jewish, Kosher, or Israeli products, hit up Super Sal for a unique shopping experience!

So I decided to look for a place nearby and came across Danny's Fresh Meat produce right around the corner from me. So I hop in the car and head over! It's in the same parking lot as Salsa and Beer so finding a park is always tough especially on a weekend. That parking lot is a nightmare but once you get a park it's all good. I walked in and it's a very small shop with a cashier in the front, two small isles of produce and meat in the back. It seems like it's all locals because everyone was talking to, who I assume was Danny, in the back working with the guys cutting up the meat. When it came to my turn, I told him I'd never been here so he explained what they do, how they cut the meat, the type of meats they have and that he's been there for 30 years! He is an extremely nice and helpful Armenian guy who has completely won me over. There are a few local places I love supporting in my community and he'll definitely be one of them. The place was very clean and organized. There wasn't a lot of produce but just enough to get your essentials. As for the meat, I picked up a pound and a half of beef loin tenderloin steak at $25.99 a pound and two pounds of marinated chicken breast cut in half's. He told me the steak would melt in my mouth and he told no lies!! The steak was so tender and everyone was asking where I got it from. He made sure to let me know he can slice it up any which way I needed it to be. Overall, Danny's is the perfect spot to grab some local produce and meat if you want to support your local businesses.
