Anyways, turns out there was a leak that we only noticed in our 1st floor bathroom after almost 5 years of living here (no one used this room so we never noticed). We did some minor investigation and knew we needed extra help since the leak had rotted out inside the walls, even the wood beams supporting the house! Here's where Dang Handy Remodeling came in. He spent time giving us a thorough inspection and our estimate was in line (and more detailed) than other estimates we had gotten. It was the professionalism that had us choosing him. I swear he responded to every question I had in like 5mins and had no problems answering even my dumbest questions before I signed the contract. He took his own time (multiple times) to take me to Floor and Decor/Home Depot/Lowes to help me choose and transport all the materials I needed. Literally this guy was like our own interior designer and could envision whether a tile would work for our vision before we even knew what our vision was. Obviously you guys can see that our black and white look worked out in the end perfectly. Also, he helped us pick out tiles and materials that would work IN OUR BUDGET. Yall wouldn't believe how expensive some tiles can get. And he even helped me go return leftover tiles at the end to get back some money. He knows this grad student needed every extra cent lol. For the actual work, he pays attention to detail. For example like cutting tiles and leveling them EXACTLY, not even 1 degree OFF even if we couldn't tell. He even put in extra time for things we didn't anticipate (like getting and installing extra parts because the sink valve I chose didn't line up with or reach the piping of the house.) 100/10 recommend Vu Bui at Dang Handy Remodeling if yall need any job done, big or small.

I'll never do that again. I'll just do it myself. They were finishing up for the day and the owner conveniently forgot the payment type. He stated he forgot his card reader and would bring it tomorrow. He then stated via text that he was only accepting zelle. When I showed him our conversation via email of the payment, he said he didnt remember the conversation that was clearly in email. I asked them to stop the work and leave all the caulking and power washing behind since I paid for it. Im not sure why they told my friend that I stopped the work. He doesnt own this home and has no say so on what projects I pay for at my home. Overall, they did a good job of what was actually finished but unfortunately, I dont like people that lie or "conveniently get amnesia." As much as I like to support small businesses, this was an upset for me.

After agreeing to the price, hecame out the same day and was able to take a pile of bricks and lay them out back neatly onto the walkway. The work was done so fast, and looks incredible. We had drainage issues, the scope of work was very clear. One side, the cement needed to be removed…read moreand new cement repoured, so there would be more of a dip, so water would run off. The cement on either side needed to be lowered or grinded, so it was all be level with each other. The other side, the cement was to be removed following the red line, so the cement would look uniformed. It was not, the owner, Cesar said the other contractor was going to use a fill, and we wouldn't notice the expansion joint. Well... unfortunately we do notice it, and it looked terrible. The other contractor, feeling bad that he recommend Cesar, agreed to repair both sides, at no cost to us. Our original contractor is no longer using Cesar, and we would not recommend him.
