Their store is very spacious with lockers for your personal items and they have a reclining chair for the hair washing station so it's not an ab workout to get on/off! Service and attentiveness is amazing here. Here comes the haircut part. I have really thick hair so even when I go for a trim, the hair cut can take almost an hour. My hairdresser was AJ - I told him what I wanted (2-3 inches trim) and he said he was only going to cut layers in the front and leave the back as is given how thick my hair is, it'll be too frizzy if he layers Sure. He was done with my haircut in 20 minutes, and as I got up to check I noticed multiple hair sticking out in odd places. He sat me down and went off snipping those off. I take off the apron and towel and recheck - there's still uneven areas, so he fixed it while I was standing. While he was "layering" the front of my hair, I told him I like my hair part on my left side. He said "you will have more volume if you switch parts to your right side" and proceeds to cut my hair with my hair parted on the right. I've never had my hair "layered" like this but the ENTIRE front section of my hair looks like it was just chopped off in a straight line (see picture) without a gradual shift in lengths. This review's saving grace is he did say if I had a problem with my haircut I can always come back and get it fixed. But unfortunately I don't have the time to go back and also not sure how they can fix this when it's already that short. So 5 stars for service and the rocket ship of a hair wash station, but hair cut was very much below my expectations for a $70 price tag.

I recently got my foilayage, babylights and money pieces done by Kaka. He also styled and trimmed my hair. He's such a sweet and an amazing person. He made sure I was comfortable and held great conversations. His years of experience definitely shows through his work. He took amazing care of my hair and made sure it wasn't damaged since I came in with an existing foilayage. He takes his time to perfect his client's hairs to their desire. I absolutely love my hair. Kaka is hands down the best stylist in the area. His customer service is top-tier--he even provides water and snacks. Kaka is incredibly friendly, always a pleasure to be around, and he plays the best music, making the atmosphere super calming. A year ago, he did my hair, and with proper care and purple shampoo, the color lasted beautifully. This time, he gave me a stunning new balayage, along with perfect layers and a V-cut shape. I also have to specifically mention the incredible blowout that Ming did so quickly, I got compliments on my hair later that day! He also trimmed my bangs meticulously. The final result was exactly what I was hoping for. The salon is clean and mostly no-frills, but full of stylists who all seem to be excellent at what they do, which is my type of place! I also found Jonathan's Instagram page and literally liked all of his pictures because the work he does is amazing! I finally had the balls to msg him and get a consultation in person. This guy tells the truth and nothing but the truth! I wanted platinum hair color but he said i won't be able to get it done the first time because my dark dark hair needs to be bleached several times so we opted for ash blonde. He told me the price and that it was a package. He gave me his cell # and always contacted each other through texts. He's so awesome. He answers right away if he has a chance and understood exactly what needed to be done from what I wanted and from if it's possible without damaging my hair so much. I finally came in on Saturday morning as his first appt and he broke down the hours and details of what he is going to do to my hair. It was a long process that was well worth it because I have thick dark Asian hair. Thanks to his assistant Iris as well for helping! She's so nice and awesome. It's really hard for Asian hair to be bleached. Every step he told me exactly what was happening. He had so much patience with me and I love it! He is now my new colorist! I definitely recommend Jonathan. Tell him Francine recommended you! Btw this place gets packed and all the workers here are so friendly! They speak English well, Cantonese and Mandarin.
