As always, I headed to Yelp and while there are a million and one places to go to get your hair done, not only did this salon have awesome reviews, but it was less than 5 minutes from my house which let's be honest, convenience will make you a little more willing to trying some new. I decided to call and it was sooo easy to make an appointment for the next day at the very time I wanted! I arrived for my appointment and had no problem finding the salon since I knew exactly where it was (corner of Veteran's Memorial and Discovery Blvd across from the Chevron). There was plenty of parking so that was no issue either. I walked in and appreciated that I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the young lady let me know the stylist I was seeing, Shirley, would be with me shortly. Off to a great start*wink* Shirley walked up to me and introduced herself and let me know we would get started and promptly took me to the area where she washed my hair and I must say, she did a wonderful job. Afterwards, she placed me under the dryer and then I was in her chair getting styled. I liked that she asked how exactly I wanted my hair styled and once I was finished she even pinned my hair up for me and gave me a shower cap to protect my hair from the drizzle outside. She was super friendly and I absolutely loved my hair when I finally decided to take the pins out the next morning...and I got a lot of compliments! Overall, the salon is super nice...big and spacious with plenty of wash bowls and dryers. Loved the atmosphere from the music that was playing to the friendly staff. Oh and the pricing is reallllly reasonable. I'll definitely be back!

The owner on the other hand was very rude she wouldnt talk to me directly she would use another lady to pass the message to while we were all standing pretty close to each other, that should've been my sign not to sit in her chair. They are in the parking lot of Kohl's at that intersection of Austell Rd and EW Connector. They new spot is lovely with more space and more shampoo bowls. I also like the convenience of being able to pop next door for a mani / pedi before or after my shampoo. I don't wear lashes, but I found out they now offer lashes and brow tinting though I think it might be by appointment only right now. According to the business card she gave me, the new hours are Tue - Sat 9:30am - 5:30pm. Sun closed. Mon by Appt only.

Well, it did feel right and her pull was not what I'm.accustomed. I asked to see what it look like. My skin looked like ant bites. Skin just broken and red from the threading. This is not going to work. I should have left right then. The owner had another threader, an older lady to.take over. She tried to appease by putting something on the right eyebrow. She starts on the left eyebrow. Her touch and.pull was definitely lighter. So again, I said just a clean up and keep natural brow. She asked if she could aloe Vera gel on.. I.agreed. I should have not. Recommendation. Use fresh aloe or rose water. That gel is not nautral and has hint of alcohol in it. So here's the kicker......after I leave and I'm n in sunlight is when I can clearly see my left brow was butchered and does not even look like the right brow! So now I have to walk around 3 weeks looking like a fool! I regret I paid cash and even tipped at this point. I wouldn't recommend unless the owner is willing to do the service herself or if you just don't mind taking a chance losing a few $6+ $2 tip & your natural brow shape!

What I like about her cutting technique is that it's always precise and on point. She listens to me and does exactly how I describe or if I decide to bring in a picture she gives me exactly what I want. She is able to handle all types of hair without skipping a beat. I have seen very few people who are as confident and comfortable as she is with a pair of scissors while handling so many different types of hair. I'm not a fan of salons especially here in Atlanta, so having someone cut my hair and give me what I want without spending hours in a salon and paying tons of money is priceless in my book. Not to mention that the cut is only $15! I can get an appointment for the same day or even walk right in and I'm out in no time at all.

The stylist here are sooo talented. I've never been to a salon that did all types of hair before. My hair was done by Shakiyla!!! Omg where do i start!!! She's a stylish stylist!!! I love EVERYTHING about her. Upon my arrival i sat at her station and talked about what i wanted andddddd what i needed! After our chat we walked over to the shampoo bowl and where she gave me the shampoo of my LIFE!! You know about that shampoo... the one that makes you forget you are i public! The one where you go completely numb from your head down!!! LortHam'Mercyyy... it was Bomb!! I have natural/ curly hair and this is where i typically gain my "salon issue". I'm not sure of the brush she used but it felt nice to have my hair and neck RESPECTED!! She took her time brushing through my hair before placing me under the dryer. I always peek at the brush when i get my hair done to see how much of my hair was RIPPED OUT. She left me so happy when i saw very little hair in her brush. She asked if i needed a drink and offered magazines before pulling the hood down on the dryer!!! Yessssss for the Customer Service/ Experience!! A few other staff present walked past while i was under the dryer and offered water as well!! Midway thru the drying process, she checked on me to make sure i wasn't dry early. After i finished drying she walked me over to her station and began to blow dry my hair. I can not describe this process, but just know it was great!!! She never let the blow dryer get too hot and she never tugged on my hair. For my "look" She gave me large curls and switched my part to the middle. Overall this was such a great experience! At Bob Steele they have this level system, and that's kinda what determines the price. Since Shakiyla is newer to the salon, she isn't as high of a level as other stylist, but that's also what makes her prices more reasonable. Levels here's clearly don't determine quality because my hair was/ BOMB!!! Based on pictures Ives seen on her Instagram, she does ALLLLLL hair types and everyone's hair looks great and healthy!!! I've been going to Bob Steele Salon for years and have spent well over $5,000 there without ever…read moreleaving a negative review. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a new stylist, Gibelli, was extremely disappointing. I asked for creamy blonde balayage highlights and a trim, but the result was far from what I requested. About four inches of my hair were cut off, despite only asking for a trim, and the layers are uneven and inconsistent. The color work is also problematic. Instead of blended balayage, the highlights appear chunky, uneven, and several different shades, with orange tones throughout and large sections that appear to have been missed entirely. There is little to no blending. A close friend of mine who is a licensed stylist also commented that the highlights look more like traditional foil highlights rather than balayage, which may explain the harsh lines and lack of blending. I left the salon crying because of how much length was removed. While color can technically be corrected, length cannot be restored for at least a year, and I may even have to cut more hair to even everything out. The salon offered a partial redo, but I'm uncomfortable with that solution. I don't want to darken the hair (which would make it harder to lighten later), and I'm also hesitant to bleach my hair again only two weeks after the original service due to potential damage. When I expressed these concerns, the manager seemed frustrated and unwilling to consult a trained stylist about how the correction would actually work. It also felt odd that a partial correction was booked when I originally paid for a full balayage service. Considering the service cost nearly $400 and my long history as a loyal client, I expected a more thoughtful and professional resolution. At this point, I'll likely need to see a more experienced color specialist elsewhere to correct the color issues. Unfortunately, while color can be corrected, the lost length cannot. For reference, I've also included a photo of what my hair looked like in November before my December highlights with Taylor, plus about four months of growth. My current hair is actually darker than it was two color services ago, which makes the result even more confusing. This was a very disappointing experience after many years of positive visits.

The press is soft and silky and the colors are flowy and bouncy. Absolutely no frizz! They had snacks and offered me a soda but my nerves were too shot to drink. Overall, my confidence is back and I'm ready to show up at my conference tomorrow. Thank you miracle workers for your professionalism, knowledge and compassion. I was patient as they tried their best & they were patient as i did my best to give direction. In the end i went with a solid pink they apologized for not being able to do the French tips.
