Finally stopped in after my husband has been trying to get me to try it. I've hesitated in the past because it looks like a dirty hole in the wall place. I thought maybe I'd wait until their expansion was done. Well we were in the area so I gave in. We walked in and it looked clean at first glance. They have a huge menu! I ended up ordering a chicken super nacho (half order) and my husband ordered the carne asada burrito. The portions here are huge! You definitely get your money's worth. The food was good and ingredients tasted fresh. My biggest gripe is the cleanliness of the seating area. The booths looked clean enough, but the windows were filthy! The window sills had bugs crawling on them. It definitely needs a good cleaning, including the grimy floor. I also didn't like how close the seating was to the bathroom. I get that it's a small place, but the beverage refrigerators, garbage station, water station, etc could be placed by the restroom and move the eating tables to the other end of the dining area?! Overall, food was good and economical. Staff was friendly. I may come back for food to go in the future, but definitely won't be eating inside.

Best tacos in vancouver! Not only is it always hot and made to order, the tacos are loaded! I love how when you order them for take out it's wrapped individually so you can definitely tell they don't skimp on each taco. With a single taco costing about $3, my favorites are the carne asada and al pastor. Service is quick and friendly. They have seats inside for dine in for a quick bite. They also have a little station where you can grab lime, radish and pickled veggies yourself. Love this place and definitely recommend!

I probably go here more than the average human should but I had to write a review because this is genuinely the best spot to get some bomb tacos at. I come in everytime for the same carne asada tacos and it's always made to complete perfection every. single. time. Hopefully people who read the reviews see this one because i'm willing to guarantee this will be your new spot if you haven't already F'd around and found out.

I'm having my car stereo replaced so I came over here to get breakfast. It's a small place. A little hole in the wall. But most hole in the wall joints have banging food and that tracks with this place. The service is quick. The staff are friendly. And the food is The menu ranges from $9-12 an item so it won't break your bank account.

Amazing find. Small taco shop, great food, large menu, great prices. I've only found a few places that give you a more authentic Taco Shop vibe and food. This is one of them. I'm probably gonna go order from them now because writing this review made me crave food from them. read more

Always a quick and easy stop for lunch (or anytime). My go to order is rice, bean, cheese and pico de gallo burrito. Super basic but always hits the spot. The hubby always gets carne asada (steak) burrito with rice (which has to be added because it doesn't come in it otherwise). Small spot with a few spots to sit down but the food always stays warm until we get home (15-20 min drive). Recommend grabbing some lime slices and salsa verde (green salsa). Breakfast burritos are also a great choice! read more

I've been going here since I was a kid. Went a couple months ago and it was still as good as when I was young. I like to order the tacos with just cilantro and onion and they are really good. I also enjoy their breakfast burritos! Would recommend to others looking to get some good tacos. read more

Love this place! Great food, great price, great energy and great hot sauce. (Red sauce is pretty spicy*) I had chorizo y papa and my friend had fish tacos. Coming from California, I'm surprised to this place. Really delicious, excellent value!! One negative would be small parking lot. Definitely will come here again!!! read more

By far the best Mexican tacos and burritos...the chicken and carne asadas = deliciousness! Almost 4 years ago, a friend recommended this place to us as a "hole in the wall" place...it's become our "go to" favorite Mexican restaurant! Try their dinner plates - the salsas are fresh and tasty! The beans and rice are perfect complement in this dish! It's just not for Taco Tuesdays! Great service, great prices and great food & sauces. This is my current easy vegetarian lunch spot. The fajita burrito cannot be beat. Service is fast and friendly and there are tons of options on the menu. A friend recommended the fajita burrito and now I'm hooked so I may never try anything else. It's full of fajita veggies, super filling, and super inexpensive. I can get lunch here for under $10 and even have some burrito left for the following day or evening. read more

Excellent carnitas taco and fish taco! If it were stuffed a little more with the carnitas I would have made it 5 stars. This little gem is a bit on the rustic side, but they deliver on flavor. It's small on the inside, very limited seating and one table outside. In accordance with Washington State mandate, everyone e working there had a mask on. read more

We love this place. They are quick and the food is always great and exactly as we order it. They give you a little buzzer so you can wait in your car while they make your food which is great for when it's raining. They are generous with containers of sauce and have amazing green sauce that you have to try. read more

Just simple, flavorful, authentic food! Best burritos i've ever had. I get mine without cheese nor avocado sauce. The flavor of the meat is incredible. Add a little of their salsa on top. Low key place. We usually get ours to-go. We can feed our family for less than $25. read more

They make some of the best tacos in Vancouver at this authentic, family-run local taqueria. Carne asada tacos are mouthwateringly delicious with a perfect ratio of meat, onions, cilantro and avocado which we top off with their housemade habanero sauce. It's a dive place with soda only located next to a Mexican store with criminal looking bars, but it is super good & totally super fast! The service wit the guys are great. Their attentive yet efficient, completely bilingual & quick to help if you have questions. They're also making connections getting us food to go at Brother's Brewing Cascadia. Must try: the super burrito with carne asada& a chile relleno! Delish & a complete meal too! Why love on them & only give them a 4?! The corn tortillas are not homemade. The decor inside is very nice, however, when I went in the restaurant had a scent of bathroom cleaning products. Not just a fresh or clean smell, but that scent you get from those overly scented chemical products. To be honest, that was the only downside. If it wasn't so strong and overpowering, I don't think I would have given anything less than five stars. The food is absolutely amazing, the portions are awesome, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend going here and getting the food and I will absolutely be back.

We did have 3, so essentially for us, 4 EMPTY tables could have accommodated our request. 2 remained empty the entirety of our meal. So I just can't understand why this request wouldn't be granted. The wings I would get with no sauce. The sauce on them was very ketchup reminiscent. For the entrees we both did the steak frites. Fries were amazing. The steak was sooooo tough. Medium rare didn't save them. Our child got the half pizza and demolished. For dessert we got the cookie with ice cream and the valentines special cheesecake. Both were delicious. Overall 3.5. Could use some help at front. If you don't realize you have that many free tables and could easily accommodate a paying customer the table they prefer, it just simply doesn't make sense. At the end, I did ask manager why we wouldn't be able to sit where we requested and there really was just no good reason. It was just a shrug like it was a busy day. Like I guess maybe saving for make believe guests?? LOL unreal. It's not often I would question things. But this was just absurd. Again, I need to say, our waitress was amazing. Food was fine. Just a very weird experience as far as seating. Like who are you saving those seats for?? Anywho. Enjoy!

UPDATE 10/28/2011 I'm updating this review because I've since returned to S T E and have a more realistic view on this place now. I've tried just about everything on the menu and I am not nearly as impressed with any of the other menu items as I am with the "Express Tacos". They are for sure the only item worth driving here for. That said, they are very delicious. soft tender shredded beef on two 4" corn tortillas smothered with red sauce and just the right amount of onions and cilantro. They are reminiscent of the Tijuana taco carts. The place is a dive for sure but it is clean and you can watch them make your food (again like a taco cart). If the girl is working the counter you can expect an attitude of indifference. She surely does not care if you ever come back. All that said I do return about twice a month for the Express Tacos" simply because I can't find anything like them anywhere else in the couve. This place rocks!!! I went there for lunch today after reading the other reviews. I bought 4 shredded beef tacos with red sauce I think they were called "Express Tacos" OH MY - they were as good as any Authentic tacos I've ever had. How in the world does anyone think this place is good?! For real?? I came in today and it's awful, it's so bad I'm writing this review while I sit here. The refried beans are not cooked enough what the water hasn't even cooked out fully, the rice is meh at best, the Pastor tacos?? THEY AREN'T EVEN MARINATED WITH PINEAPPLE AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES PASTOR!! No limes with the tacos either which is sacrilege all on it's own. Seriously if you think this place is good I would take a guess that you've been stuck in Vancouver your whole life and have ZERO idea what tacos and real Mexican food should taste like. I spent all of my summers in Los Angeles growing up and moved to the San Fernando Valley barrio (Sylmar) as an adult from here and I can honestly say Del Taco street tacos are on par with these. Try some taco trucks in town and you'll never come back here; every single one I've tried is better than this. I can't even finish my second, I'm throwing this stuff in the garbage. read more

I eat here frequently. The tacos are open face authentic style without cheese. My favorite is the pork taco (al pastor), although the carne asada is also good. They have quite the range of meats and it is very affordable. The meat is flavorful, and consistency from visit to visit is good although occassionally the meat is a bit dry. The green sauce is the bomb -- I squirt this in the taco between each tasty bite. my only complaints is that the atmosphere drab but I keep returning because the food is so good.. read more
