Since it's re-opening I've gone twice and both times the food was bad. The first time ordering the food was over cooked meat, dry salty rice. We tried it one more time yesterday and the chips were stale, I was hungry and tired so I just ate it but the was my last chance for them . I used to enjoy their food too. A hole in the wall and could be a little better maintained during lunch hour, but food is excellent and it's right on the edge of downtown Woodlake, near the roundabout. Shrimp tacos were wonderful, with a little sour cream and just the right combination of flavors. Chile rellenos were enormous, with a soft dough shell and served with rice and beans. Food was awful. Got cheese enchiladas but I wouldn't call that cheese. I don't know what that was. I wanted mild sauce and they gave me red and I couldn't eat it. I also got 2 fish tacos that were okay. They gave me lemons instead of the preferable limes for the fish tacos. Other family members ordered food too and they said it was nothing to brag about. Last time I came here was a decade ago. I've gotta say I remember it being much better back in the day! I got a wet chile verde burrito. When they called my number they didn't even put the sauce or cheese over it so I had to ask them to do that when that's exactly how I ordered it in the first place. Likes that the market was attached to the restaurant and know the meats fresh. The market had local produce and fresh meats. The restaurant had just about everything one could crave. From carne asada fries, enchiladas, nachos, burritos and tacos. My fav taco was the chili verde!!! The pork was well marinated and the verde sauce was the bomb!!! El Pastor taco was just ok. The shrimp taco had 2 pieces of shrimp which I cut both in half but I don't like sour cream on my shrimp taco. The carne asada tacos were great and my bro wanted to share his carne burrito but I resisted the taste. My niece had the carne asada fries and I tried these and they were great. What can I say. My job requires me to travel and at times find myself hungry with not packed lunch. As I was in town, I drove by Super Taco. Decided to try it and if the staleness and insipid facade of the building was indicative of the food, I would have driven by past it. Because asada tortas are seldom difficult to mess up, I decided to order their asada torta. This torta was as exciting as the fly on the wall you stare at in hopes it does a trick. It was shameful that they charge 5 extra dollars for their supreme version which includes guacamole, cheese (typical ingredients in a true asada torta) and for some reason sour cream. Their poor imitation of a Mexican food staple is one that will make me not return here even if the petal to hell opens up to take me. read more

Super Taco takes me back to a time where life was easy and I wasn't an adult yet lol. It was the times where getting drunk the night before was a fun thing to do and waking up to knowing we're getting in the car and making our way to woodlake just for these burritos or as we knew them as "hangover cure." The delicious asada with the rice and beans.. onions, cilantro, no cabbage for me. The green sauce you keep topping onto every bite! Trying to fight the spice on your tounge and fire in your mouth and belly! But it's Soo.. Soo.. good! It's something you can't ignore! It's something you love to have and especially after a long night! It's the food that needs to be represented for what it is! True cooking made with love and experience! Great tacos. We stopped on our way from Sequoia National Park. I got 4 tacos: Lengua (moist and tender), Barbacoa (nicely seasoned), Carnitas (crispy morsels with moist pork, served with pico de gallo), and Carne Asada (beefy goodness). I got a side of beans, which was like a pint of beans, so I could not eat it all. Food was great and the folks were very friendly. The green salsa was also very good. Butcher shop next door (connected) so that is a big clue as to why this place it so good. $25 for more food than the 3 of us could eat! read more

When I arrive the girl behind the counter asks if I had placed a to go order?? I tell her I've been on hold for 10 mins now. And she shouts back at me... THATS BECAUSE WE'RE CLOSED!! All she had to do was tell me when I called that they weren't taking anymore orders for the night and I would've understood. But instead I wasted my time and gas to be rudely shouted at. Talk about excellent customer service!! I only gave one star because I had to. It should've been a zero star review. I'll never be going back to super taco again. I chose carne asada tacos. Each taco was amply filled with carne asada, cabbage, and onions. I filled up on two of theses tacos though I expected to need three for lunch. This is Yelp at its best I was driving through a town I was unfamiliar with, returning from Sequoia National Park to Los Angeles and I was able to find a great place for lunch thanks to Yelp. It seems like locals more "in the know" than me enjoy this place too as it was quite busy and friendly. read more
