Very poor haircut experience by Maria. I asked her if she was confident doing short hairstyles on women and she said yes. She looked at photos and we talked beforehand and she STILL did a terrible job. I think she forgot what she was doing about halfway in, by the expression on her face. She didn't hand me a mirror to look at the back, thank goodness and she stopped cutting before she blended the top in. She just..stopped. Her co-worker took one look at me and said "now that's a real SUPERcut". What an understatement, it is super terrible. SuperCuts is not for women wanting anything more than a bang trim. I went here once to get my hair done for an evening out. Megan was absolutely wonderful to work with, and we pretty much gabbed the whole time. It was such a nice experience and her work came out great that I decided right then I'd be coming back. While I have not been able to work with her again, the staff here is very friendly and accommodating. I have happily made this my salon for all of my basic haircuts and stylings. read more

I had to stop in here once for an 'emergency' haircut on my way out of town - it was late and they were open. The woman cutting my hair spoke NO ENGLISH! She just kept nodding and going "mm hmm" with clearly NO idea what I was saying to her. Then whatever she did to my hair was barely discernible, even after I had to ask her to cut more (I hate having to do that). So after two cuttings, you still couldn't even tell that I'd had a haircut. I now know that my number one requirement in a hair stylist is that they speak the same language as me. read more

I never gave a review to saloon bcoz i feel they are doing there job . But this was special the lady MarGie was exceptional . I do have some particular number on my hair and wanted her to do . But she was insisting that it would be odd. She showed me bit high later deprecated a bit a bit. It was like a sculpture making a idol. She was perfect inch by inch . She was top of it . This location is everything you can look for in a Supercuts. Pam the Manager does a great job making the place feel so welcoming. The location is always themed decorated for whatever season it is. Staff is wondeful. I've had my haircut by pretty much the entire staff but have taken a liking to Esther's attention to detail. All are capable of a great haircut. I tend to observe all the stylist when I get my haircut and notice that they are always in a good mood and so friendly. I have made this location my "home" for haircuts. Despite living central, I make the effort to keep my business there. I always call ahead and rarely wait more than 5-10 min. My haircut place changed owners 'yet again'. These are the new owners of what used to be Style America. Since both my local options were shrinking and I was pressed for time, I decided to give it a try. I've both received the haircut I've asked for and several compliments from others. Apparently this specific company is very popular because there were several people also waiting. The waiting area is now reconfigured for the higher customer volume. I read the prior reviews and I just don't agree as I have come to know most, if not all of the stylist. On this occasion I had Maria as my stylist. She has cut my hair several times now and she knows exactly what I want and how I want it. It takes time to develop a relationship with a location and its employees. Decided to go in this morning and get a haircut. they cut my hair I paid for it went home washed it myself and started to style like normal. I found multiple chunks of hair that were longer than what they had cut. Drove all the way back up here to have them fix it. they never offered to fix it they never said sorry they just gave me my money back and told me to have a nice day. all I wanted was my hair fixed. This should be a 5 star review...but I've decided to take away stars like all the other nitpicking reviewers. My stylist laura was as always amazing and friendly...taking away one star because she is moving...not your fault but oh well entice her to stay. The second star is taken away because i was charged two dollars for requesting a stylist. I can't state in words how incredibly stupid this is. If I like your salon I tell people...tell people to see this person...I'm a walking advertisement to build your clientele....but if you request someone it costs you 2 dollars extra. Yeah sure it's only two dollars...but I find it backwards and idiotic. You should want repeat guests....whats more you should want them to request stylists....2 dollars....really??? This Supercuts is one of my favourite Supercuts by far, even though I have to go out of my way to get to it, it is well worth it, off of my experiences I really like Leticia and Maria, both did very good jobs with my hair and Leticia made sure to be as detailed as possible, which I liked a lot, all the staff is friendly and haven't seen many flaws within the staff at all. The manager there, Pam, is really terrible at customer service. Being a recurrent customer I asked if I could get charged for a bang trim since I just needed my sideburns shaved with the edger-I have a pixie cut, and she responded there was no such thing. That I would get charged for a full haircut. I was respectfully explaining that I didn't need a haircut, just needed my sideburns shaved, so I was asking if it could be considered like a bang trim, and she responded with an attitude "NO THAT WOULD BE LYING...!" I didn't think it was worth all the fuss and just said thank you and hung up the phone. To respond to that, LYING would be getting charged for a full haircut when I only need a trim on my edges. Her not being able to meet the customer in the middle to make them happy, plus giving them attitude, really just proves the lack of customer service skills she lacks. Please train her. One thing is her not wanting to do that and responding kindly to the customer that she's just not allowed to do that, and another thing is trying to rudely lecture a customer. No, no, you just do not do that to a customer. Another time, I also went ahead and called ahead of time to see if my stylist was going to be in, and she responded that my stylist was there. I told her I was on my way, I didn't even take 5 minutes. Well I waited about 20 minutes for the people before me, and then once it was my turn, my stylist came to me and told me Pam wouldn't let her do my haircut without first going on her lunch break. She could have just informed me before I even made the trip there and waited eternally. I had to get my haircut by someone else since I had a meeting already planned immediately after. I knew there was going to be a fight walking in 30 minutes before close on a Sunday, but thought why not give it a try. As I was putting my name on the list, one of the stylists suggested I go to the other Supercuts on the other side of 183 because they had "no wait." The plan was for me to head over and she would call and get my name on their list. Seeing it was only two blocks away, I felt it was not a problem. However, when I got there, low and behold, they had double the wait of the first shop!! So I said thanks, but no thanks and headed back to claim my original spot on the list in the first shop. As I walked in, the stylist asked why I had returned and laughed to learn of the wait while remarking, "yeah, we now have a 30-45 minute wait too. " So I wrote my name back into my original spot and she declared that was not allowed since I voluntarily took her advice and went to the other store. So, I'm out because she gave me shitty advice and wouldn't own up to it...Whatever!! Onward to another mop shop... UPDATE: Thanks, Ben, for seeing this and sending me an email as a follow up. Love this Supercuts! I live on the UT campus, but I travel to this location because the staff is so friendly and they all love what they do. I went in for a haircut the week before Halloween and the whole place was decorated. They also offered their customers treats/candy. The staff even looked a little spooky with skull face paint. Maria did a great job cutting my hair this visit, and I hope I'm lucky enough to have her next time. Supercuts is cheap and offers a quality service. I am in complete agreement with the previous review. It is not uncommon to leave these facilities feeling like the comb they use has left gooves on your scalp. Sometimes your dizzy from the sense of hurry to get it done. With Ben, it is different. He has great hands and a great sense of balance. I've been using this Supercuts for the last 9 years or so. At first they were fairly consistent with their haircuts, and I liked that they didn't take much time to cut my hair. I don't do anything special. Just a simple, short haircut. I ask for, "Number 3 clippers, short, above the ears, rounded in the back." That tended to give me good results. But starting about 4 years ago, things started getting a lot less consistent for me. I don't know what went wrong with them. I'd go in and get people who didn't understand what I wanted after I told them the same thing I had always told them. I would see people I didn't recognize. I'd get people who would explain that they were there "on contract" and don't usually work for Supercuts. I'd have a good haircut maybe two out of every three times I went there, so it was okay but not great. Just recently I went in and got the worst cut of my entire life. I asked them to use "number 3 clippers" like I always do, but I wanted it "a little longer in the front, on the bangs, than they'd normally do". This woman proceeded to give me a buzz-cut! A complete, military style crew-cut shave of the head. I'm not exaggerating one bit. I should have realized something was miscommunicated before we started, because she asked me, "Are you sure that's what you really want? I don't think you want that!" I said, "So then you can't make it a bit longer in the front? Really? It won't look good?" And she said, "Well, I suppose I can use Number 4 clippers on the top. How about that?" I replied, "Just do whatever you think is best." She frickin' gave me the shortest haircut I've ever had. There was nothing left to it to comb! And there's no shape to it, just a bowl. I'm amazed. And I couldn't see a thing while it was happening, because I have glasses and am totally blind without them. I even told her that. Supercuts has been inconsistent for me in the past, but this is the last straw. I'll never use them again. At least for the next month or two, I won't need to comb my hair! read more

This place is really hit or miss as but what do I expect. I've come 2x before for a trim and got just that. I came a week ago, asked for 4 inches cut from my waist length hair.
