She does a fabulous job every time. She is a great stylist and a really kind person as well. She's very laid back, relaxed and is not loud or boisterous. She is easy to talk to and to converse with. Her prices are very good too, better than the salons in Willis. I highly recommend her for women and men. She used to cut my son's hair as until he relocated to a different city. She always did a really good job on his hair as well. Switch Hair Studio is a very cute place. There are lots of older furnishings and decorative items in the shop, like kind of an art deco/Frank Lloyd Wright vibe. It is really interesting to look at all of the items and reminisce about seeing similar items in my childhood home. The shop is always neat and clean. She mixed up the color and applied it, I sat under the dryer for so long, I was wondering if she was going to return or not. After everything she did, my roots were like they were when I walked in. The cut wasn't anything spectacular. I don't plan on ever returning. The whole time I was in the chair, all I heard was about her personal life. How do you say it was odd without saying it was odd?!! I went with it, not thinking anything the quality would have changed much. The hair wash was fine, but she gave me a wet cut so I didn't notice the way she had cut. She also did a blowout with a curl so I didn't see the blunt, unblended layers. Again, I just asked for a very small trim; a "dusting" of the ends she called it. The stylist proceeded to take chunks out of my hair and shorten the length by 2+ inches at the bottom. The shortest layers are 1 inch above the rest of my hair; not blended. I am very disappointed and embarrassed as this is the worst haircut I have ever received. The haircut is reminiscent of a jellyfish; certainly not what I wanted. It's a good thing I can still pull my hair into a ponytail.

You can definitely tell, for example, in the bathroom where the soap goes the entire area is worn away down to the particle wood. Google Reviews - I removed a star here because I really dislike businesses that pay for reviews. This business specifically will allow you to spin a wheel if you give them a five star review and show it to them. This definitely does not feel ethical and at a minimum, it definitely doesn't make me feel great. In summary, however, despite the fact that it's run down and they pay for reviews. The mgr that answered the phone sent me the form to review and requested 50% deposit upfront before scheduling. I paid the 50% and was under the impression it was for my single all over color, and cut, style which is on the quote.  When I got there the stylist said the haircut wasn't added and it would be 330.00 total. I said that's not what your mgr said I walked up to the manager and explained that she herself took my reservation over the phone and sent me the form with the haircut quoting the haircut included. She basically said that the increase would be the price and that I can't get my deposit back, so therefore I had to pay to get my hair done. The stylist did not honor my request that I wanted to keep my length, I told her to cut my dead ends and to give me long layers not to do anything drastic. My hair is now shorter, she cut more than the dead ends and was not cut professionally colored properly with the  colors I selected. I'm very disappointed in my hair it has frizz , flyaways everywhere. The color looks faded, the stylist never showed me the color wheel of what she was mixing, I showed her on my phone several inspiration pictures it was supposed to be darkest brown/black it's more red toned. She never used a curling wand only the blow dryer and brush. This salon should have been transparent about pricing and honored their quote. The salon needs to listen to their clients and not dismiss them when they are trusting them with their hair. Our 29th wedding anniversary was the next day, I was very dissatisfied.

I went to an Aveda salon in Chicago for close to 10 years (such a great salon) and thought that Aveda salons would be consistent across the country...oh, goodness, no. The first Aveda salon thinned my beautiful thick hair (didn't ask first) and the second literally left my perfect level 9/10 blonde balayage locks Bozo red and patchy. The senior colorist "tried" three times to bleach (she used developer, I later learned, which, of course, will never lead to the level of tone to create a blonde balayage) my very bleach-able hair before telling me "good luck" after attempting a shadow root, as for the third, thank God. Jessy at Carbon Salon literally saved my hair before my vacation and I will be forever grateful. Jessy was an absolute professional gem throughout my hair processing; she was knowledgeable, honest, and kind. Jessy did nothing without telling me first, which is something I needed after so many failed attempts to get my hair right. After my previous Texas salon colorists wanted me to know their whole life stories, Jessy wanted to know as much about me as I wanted to about her (again, super professional). Of course, that tied into my preferences with my hair color, cut, and style. Jessy took the time to listen to me and delivered a completely polished hair style that left me crying happy tears. The other thing about Carbon Salon is that each individual working there loves their job, and it shows. I have a lot of hair and it took quite a bit of time to complete, but Jessy never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing her or slowing her down. Instead, she was insanely organized and, if the other professionals noticed a need to keep things moving with my hair journey, they volunteered to help. I walked away blown away by the kindness and professionalism of the staff, aesthetic of the salon, and above all, the results. As long as I am in Texas, I will be a client of Carbon Salon.
