I'm a consistent customer and I think it's terrible that every winter that this store has no heat throughout the building. They only have two small heaters to keep the employees and customers warm. Sought out Super Cuts on Jonestown Road for a haircut trim on ears and color on my side burns. Stylist was a nice person but not skilled enough. Tried several attempts to color my side burns and did not work or take. Then charged me for a full hair color fee and full haircut. I could understand the haircut but a full $46.00 for a sideburn color job that did not color. Easy to see why I would not return. Had to set an appointment with another shop to actually color my side burns. read more

I should've known going here was a bad idea when I walked in and it was a ghost town. Three employees were present, one clocking out as I sat in the chair. The girl that cut my hair was very young. The other employee sat off to the side and watched her cut my hair. She did not offer to cut my hair herself, which was weird because she appeared more professional and experienced than the girl cutting my hair. I asked for a very specific style, nothing too complex just an asymmetric bob. The girl told me she understood and yet she ended up chopping my hair very short and mostly the same length all around. The cut is very blunt and a bit uneven. I'm wondering if the scissors were dull... I have thick hair and it just looks bad. She only (sort of) wet my hair - never offered to wash or condition it. I was unhappy but didn't know what to do. She talked the entire time and didn't seem focused on the cut. To make matters even more odd she sent me on my way with wet hair out into the cold! It was $19 for this terrible cut that I'm still trying to figure out how to style without it looking like crap. Very disappointed and won't go back. Don't expect a 'Jonathan Antin' awesome-hair experience but good enough for simple requests. My kids always end up looking great - but then, they also look great with bad hair - and with whatever color wax they want in their manes. I usually ask for a 1-2-4 cut and as long as they keep the right order I usually end up looking OK. Don't be afraid to tell them what you want and, in my experience, they usually translate that well into a hairdo. We often get the gift-card deal when they have it (effectively 20% off) and use this card throughout the year. Usual dates for this deal is around the Holidays, e.g. 'buy a $100.- card for $80.-'. The people were pleasant, but there is a reason the chairs are 5 feet from the mirrors. I have never had a haircut that hurt! The clipper blade must have been dull and the clippers themselves rattled and smelled like the motor was burning up but she continued to use them and rip the hair from my scalp! When I got home and looked in the mirror there was a large divot of hair missing off the back of my head and my scalp is exposed. It looks like I had a fight with a weed whacker! read more

Terrible. I went here for a haircut and color job. The day I went, I left dissatisfied with the color and the girl said she would fix it if I wanted. Also, she parted the hair in the middle to layer it, when I normally part my hair in the side. When I got home that day and styled it I saw that one side of my top layer was much longer than the other because of that. So I went back in and had her fix both the color and the cut. The color turned out great, but the hair cut is terrible!! I now have one thick really short layer and then a long layer and the line is really jagged. I don't know what she thought she was doing... Do not go here. I gave it two chances too many. read more

I am beyond angry right now. I took my 4 year old here in a pinch because his regular barber was closed. We walked in and all the girls were sitting and texting. One got up to ask us what we needed. After that, my kid was sent to "Maddie". I was very specific with her because we know what he likes. We usually get it very short on the sides, faded up to a little longer on top. She acknowledged what I said and repeated it back to me so I thought we were on the same page. I turned around to deal with my infant son and by that, my child's hair was practically all gone. He was in the chair less than 5 minutes! I had to get both kids bundled back up again, so I didn't get a whole lot of time to inspect. I was charged $13 and gave a tip, at her urging. I didn't get a chance to tell her myself that I was planning on tipping her anyway. I get us all home and really looked at his hair. It was AWFUL! He looked like I stuck him out in the yard with a goat. Hair was longer and bumpier in different parts all over, there were a lot of random "wisps" that she missed, and a chunk was missing directly in the front. I stuck him in the bath and cut the wisps myself. My husband got out his clippers and fixed it as much as he could. He looks a little less like a goat attack victim or like he did it himself this morning. What's annoying is that I heard "Maddie" tell my child that she has a boy his age too. I can't help thinking if this is the way she cuts his hair? Poor kid, if so. NEVER AGAIN. The staff apparently is too lazy to spend any time or extra effort on a kid because they are only getting $13. If "Maddie" paid for a cosmetology license, she wasted her money because I could do a better job and I have zero hair clipper experience. AVOID this place if you already have a place that is tried and true. You will be sorry and unhappy with the hack job you get. read more

I went to this SuperCuts today to have a significant amount of hair cut off. My hairstylist "Shell" did a wonderful job of relaxing my nerves about the big cut, she listened to my concerns and figured out the style that was best all around for me. The cut is great! Place I always go for a haircut. I've had my hair cut by almost every woman in this place, and it's always a great job. Wait is usually 30-40 minutes, your time can be killed at Target. Very nice and friendly staff, always have something to talk about, no awkward silence. They give you a card, after getting 8 haircuts, the next one is free! Can't beat that. read more

I don't understand the low review of the other two reviews here. I had been looking for several years to find a beautician I liked after another had retired. Till on a whim I went to Supercuts. Best haircut ever! Now I won't go anywhere else. Supercuts always does a great job. I absolutely LOVE my hair. I always go to Shell, she knows what I want done, and I get the clippers used on my hair too because I have a pixie cut. I think JG is confusing Supercuts with Cost Cutters, who has fried my hair and given me the worst haircuts. The lady who did my hair at Cost Cutters ruined my hair, fried it, dulled it, and once gave me the excuse that my hair won't look like the picture I brought becasue the woman in the picture has a different color hair. WHAT?!?!?!? But since I discovered Shell at Supercuts, I have not gone anywhere else. I did have one of the other girls cut my hair when Shell was out on vacation who did a good job also.
